Fallen Angel 11
Confusion.
That's what Kogoro was feeling right now.
He was sitting in a café just outside Hinata's apartment. In front of him was a screen full of classified information. Kogoro was using a newly bought second-hand laptop to open the flash-drive he opened during his last live stream with Yuko.
The memory stick labeled B.O. was full of data stolen from different countries' national security organizations. At least, that was Kogoro's assumption. He didn't speak almost ninety nine percent of the different languages, so he wouldn't know what they were actually saying.
While the ones he could understand were of the same veins, including the real identity of their members and the currently happening operations, there were some differences that he would have to go through with a fine-toothed comb.
Kogoro would love to discuss this with Velma, but she was preoccupied by RSTA's matters. He'd rather have her complete whatever she was working on, then help him in her spare time, than stop her in the middle of something important that might disrupt her schedule.
'Not that I'm that free either.' Kogoro lamented not having the time to take his women on an individual date. But right now, with the threat of the Black Organization looming over his head, he'd delay everything else in a heartbeat in order to deal with those crows.
Scrolling down the pages labeled the FBI, he stopped at the name he was most familiar with.
'Jodie Starling!'
Clicking her name, Kogoro was greeted by a full figure photograph of Jodie, and virtually anything anyone from a criminal organization would like to know about her. From her heights, to her heights, and even her three-sizes were neatly listed, and marked as 'relevant information'.
"So this might be from Vermouth, then."
If so, then it still left one question. Why?
Kogoro could not think of anything that might give him an insight on why she sent him the flash-drive. After he scrunched his forehead trying to recall anything significant in their interaction, he slowly relaxed in defeat.
'Goddammit. Why was everything so confusing all of a sudden?'
He sort of knew why, of course.
After Vermouth left her 'surprise', the aftermath had Kogoro feeling like things were spiraling out of his control. He still had not figured out who was the one that helped Vermouth escape. There was no sign of someone else from the Black Organization ever roamed the streets in front of, and behind the talent agency building.
The thought that a skilled infiltrator could go under modern technology's detection was scary as hell, and Kogoro was having a hard time thinking about other preventive measures he could take before something similar happened ever again.
Shaking his head from the dread and worry that kept coming back, Kogoro closed all the files, ejected the drive, and turned off the laptop.
He'd work on it some other time. Kogoro had an important task from his beloved daughter.
Yes, he was here to take Conan home!
Kogoro could only lament his whipped self silently. 'What a waste of time…'

Just an hour ago, inside Hinata's apartment; Shinichi was having the time of his life. After they were done touring the whole place, Hinata-san –she had insisted for him to call her that- had him sit down and wait for the snack she was baking.
Hinata-san came out of the kitchen a few minutes later. In her hands were a plate of fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies. They then enjoyed the dessert together while watching a rerun of last night's episode of Detective Samonji.
As a giant fan of the series, Shinichi was more than happy to recount the bits and clues from the previous episode to Hinata-san. In the middle of talking, he noticed how she still had the same gentle smile on her face.
That sealed the deal. Shinichi's face heated up, his heart beating fast. While he had done this sort of stuff with Ran, she always looked at Shinichi with a pout or a frown, clearly not having any interest in the stuff he found interesting.
'That's not the case with Hinata-san!' Shinichi thought, his lips were stuck in a dopey smile.
Truly, the feeling of liking someone who enjoyed the same thing as you was intoxicating.
As the episode ended, Shinichi was yawning from exhaustion. He had babbled excitedly the whole time, and was feeling extremely exhausted by the time the credits were rolling.
Hinata ruffled his hair, and said, "Are you tired, Conan-kun? What about taking a nap first? Then when Kogoro-san comes, I'll wake you up!"

Hearing her offer, Shinichi could only nod along, already far too gone to notice anything weird about the situation at all. Hinata picked him up to the guest room, and laid Conan down on the bed.
She looked a little nervous as she checked whether Conan was truly asleep. She waved her hand in front of his face, first gently, then with a bit more force. Seeing no reaction, Hinata sighed in relief.
The plump woman turned around, and bent over to reach for the small hidden case underneath the bed. In it were a syringe and an instruction on how to use them. She let the piece of paper fall back down onto the case, the light from the room revealed the invisible watermark of the letter V.
She popped open the cap of the syringe, and proceeded to draw some of the sleeping boy's blood.
After she had enough, Hinata put it inside the suitcase once more. She locked the case, then hid it back under the bed.
Hinata's gaze went back to the sleeping Conan, and her expression softened. She stroked his hair gently with affection, and kissed him on the forehead, before she went out of the room.
The raven-haired beauty flipped open her phone, and noticed that she had two unread messages.
One from her beloved husband-to-be, Kogoro Mouri.
And the other was from the subordinate of a rival family, and a recently acquired ally, Vermouth.
Her lips were curled into a devious smile as her anticipation grew.
'I hope you'll like the present, Goro-kun~!'

Her days after she had escaped from Kogoro Mouri's hold were spent in a leisurely manner. The biggest perk about being your boss's favorite subordinate was a flexible work schedule.
But her effort to relax herself was not working as she intended. While her body had recovered from the abuse that damned mustachioed uncle had dished out, Vermouth was stuck longing for his enormous shaft and his rough but skillful hands. Not only that, there was something that kept popping up inside her mind beside his amazing sexual prowess.
Vermouth touched her lips, before her face turned red, and she threw the book she was reading across the room.
'I need to focus!' She closed her eyes, and all emotions were drained from her entire being. Vermouth grabbed her phone, and typed a short message to Hinata.
Her benefactor had been a great help these past few days.
As she waited for her reply, Vermouth was suddenly struck with a sudden sense of dread.
She immediately shook it off, and muttered, "It's just a quick trip to her apartment. What's the worst that could happen?"
Vermouth then put her phone away, and closed her eyes for a quick nap. As her consciousness slipped, the memory of her 'torture' reappeared, and she let out a quiet moan of delight.
