Orochimaru, at first surprised and impressed by the technique, suddenly licked his lips when he saw Mikoto in front of him.

“Mikoto Uchiha... We are isolated... I couldn't have wished for a better situation.”

“Be careful what you wish for, Orochimaru.”

Orochimaru licked his lips again when he saw the 3 tomoes in Mikoto's eyes.

“Your Sharingan... interests me!”

“Come and get it then.”

“Naturally…”

Without warning, he pulled Kusanagi's sword from his mouth and stretched his neck at full speed. At the same time, his body lengthened, and he slid across the floor toward Mikoto. Kakashi, who had covered his Sharingan to prevent it from tiring him further, was unable to follow Orochimaru with his eyes, his speed was frightening. But Mikoto had no trouble dodging his attacks with her Dojutsu.

Orochimaru's mouth suddenly caught on fire. Black flames were burning the Sannin. Mikoto burst out laughing, mad laughter, as the Sannin slowly decayed before her eyes.

“Your sword is the only thing that resisted my fire. I guess you won’t be getting my Sharingan after all.”

Orochimaru's mouth then opened wide, and a new body came out. However, it wasn’t enough. As soon as he came out, the black flames attacked his hair, back, stomach, legs, and arms. A third Orochimaru appeared, the other two ending up smoldering on the ground. Mikoto smirked seeing Orochimaru breathing hard.

“It seems your Jutsu uses a lot of chakra. And you didn’t even get close to me.”

Orochimaru glared at her. Kakashi was impressed Mikoto could put up a fight against the Sannin. Without warning, Mikoto rushed at Orochimaru and deliver a series of punches and kicks. Her movement was fast and precise.

Orochimaru's body lengthened again, and he sped between the trees. He wrapped himself around the trunks and attempted to hit Mikoto. She avoided his attacks and jumped from tree to tree to close the distance between them.

The Sannin's elongated body made it difficult to strike a vital point. However, Mikoto sent out a volley of kunais out. Despite Orochimaru’s perception and reflexes, he couldn't dodge everything.

She's improved since the last time... Orochimaru thought, his snake tail in tatters.

Mikoto picked up the pace again.

The rumble of thunder could be heard, and flashes steadily lit up the area.
Orochimaru surprised her by letting her touch his tail. He then wrapped his neck around a nearby tree and reached for her.

Mikoto quickly threw the two kunai she was holding as Orochimaru was about to bite her neck. The Sannin was stopped in his tracks by the invisible wires connected to the weapons that Mikoto had used. They had wrapped around Orochimaru's tail to drag him towards another tree.

She planned it all. Orochimaru thought as his body was dragged away.

He found himself hanging by the tail from invisible threads, which were themselves connected to Mikoto. Orochimaru stretched his neck again to reach her, but Mikoto launched a powerful Katon which ignited the threads, forcing Orochimaru to spit out another body before the old one ended up consumed by the flames.

I thought she was fighting me seriously, Kakashi thought. But her level is beyond me... She isn’t your average jonin.

Orochimaru was completely out of breath from his substitutions. Mikoto also looked like she needed to catch her breath. The Sannin used a momentary lack of concentration from Mikoto to cast a powerful Genjutsu, immobilizing her before sending a snake straight at Mikoto. The latter quickly dispelled the illusion. The time lost to cancel the Genjutsu and her fatigue made her unable to completely dodge the snake. Its fang grazed her shoulder.

But it was enough for some venom to enter her bloodstream. Mikoto fell to one knee.

“Did you really think you could beat me?” Orochimaru whispered. “Your arrogance will cost you your life.”

Kakashi, seeing the scene, lifted his headband and revealed his Sharingan.

At this rate, she will die... With my Chidori, I should be able to help Mikoto... Orochimaru must be stopped… The young man thought.

But Mikoto hadn’t given up yet.

"Jiraiya-sensei... Hizashi... Kushina..." Mikoto whispered. “It's all your fault... And now, you are going to die.”

She raised her head.

“Orochimaru, I will kill you here and now!”

The Sannin suddenly felt a shiver on his spine.

"This Chakra..."

Kakashi stopped what he was planning to do upon sensing the powerful chakra.

Mikoto's hair started flying all over the place, and she stood up, oblivious to the poison in her system. Her eyes were closed, her face expressionless… Seeing her like this, one would have thought she was meditating.

But Orochimaru sensed that Mikoto's next attack would be terrible. The air was turning icy. At that moment, Kakashi understood that the danger was no longer just Orochimaru. Mikoto was going to use a powerful attack.

Orochimaru distanced himself and bit his finger until it bled as Mikoto opened her eyes.
For a brief moment, Mikoto's eyes looked different. The next second, Mikoto closed the gap between them and slashed his stomach with a kunai.

Impossible! Kakashi thought. Her Shunshin no Jutsu was so fast that even my Sharingan couldn't see anything... The only other person my eye can't follow is Minato-sensei… I didn’t think they would be another person.

Mikoto's speed had greatly increased. Orochimaru had no chance of performing his summoning technique to defend himself. Mikoto's striking speed was such that Orochimaru was propelled away and passed through the black flames still burning in the background. Kakashi saw him crash violently against a tree, his body in flames and sliced in two by the simple blow of the kunai.

Again, Orochimaru had to change bodies. But now, he seemed completely worn out. Mikoto, behind the flames, had no intention of letting her prey slip away.

“If you kill me, Kushina Uzumaki will die!” Orochimaru said in a weak voice.

But Mikoto ignored his words. She saw it as a desperate attempt to convince her not to finish him off. Kakashi, understanding that Mikoto was going to deliver the killing blow, decided to speak up.

“He's telling the truth!” He yelled. “He came to tell me that!”

Hearing Kakashi's words, Mikoto snapped out of it and lowered her head.
Orochimaru seized the opportunity and ran away at full speed, slipping through the trees like a snake.

Mikoto Uchiha... Something has changed in you... You were an elite Jonin, but your level has evolved... Without the intervention of the White Fang's son, I would have had to use all my trump cards just to escape. You’ve picked my curiosity... Mikoto. The Sannin thought as he escaped.

Mikoto howled with rage as she watched him get away. The sky was overcast, and the rain was falling. Gradually, the fire faded, leaving a circle of ashes in the center of which Mikoto was kneeling, breathing heavily. Her hair was soaked. Kakashi didn't move. Mikoto seemed unpredictable and dangerous.

She suddenly turned her head towards him and stared at him with her red eyes. Panicked, Kakashi thought back to the fact that he had just allowed Orochimaru to get away.
By confirming the Sannin’s words, he had made her hesitate, giving her opponent the opportunity to flee.

She stood up, keeping her eyes on him, as she walked slowly in his direction. Kakashi didn’t move. Mikoto's face was impassive. It was the same one she had just before performing her last attack.

Mikoto continued walking, slowly. Kakashi had nowhere to go as the Uchiha kept approaching.
