Chapter 3: Captivated

When I first saw her, my heart sunk bitterly.  Like the shattering of hail against a violent gust. I was enthralled yet frightened.

 

“You take my breath away,” I gasped weakly. My body became feeble in her presence. I was disarmed by her existence, succumbing to this unparalleled weakness. “What is this being before me?” I wondered with anxious thoughts whirling through my mind. It felt like the ground shook with every step she took.

 

As if she was a living earthquake, I could barely kneel before her might. I was ensnared by her gallant stride. My eyes were ruined at the sight of her glaring visage. I bite my lips in disdain knowing how intimidation overtook me once our eyes met.

 

Begrudgingly, I resented myself. I cursed myself for thinking as I did. For I knew at that moment my heart betrayed my mind. I was captivated by her existence. It was then that I knew I was bound to an unforeseen fate.

Bewitched and ashamed, I regretted every moment that I ever laid eyes on her. Because I knew, I would eventually lose myself to her insane yet, beautiful presence.
