Chapter 9: Lucifer’s Greatest Unrequired Love

When I saw your face for the first time I thought.

 

"You are mine."

 

You were all I could see.

 

But it hurt me to know you never once stopped to look back at my direction, not even once.

 

Yet, I gazed upon you hopelessly, foolishly.

 

My heart was broken thinking of you.

 

I was sad knowing I wasn't courageous enough to confess my love to you right there and then.

 

Like a ghost, I saw you once and never again.

 

"Were you even real?" I asked myself this question so many times, hoping to believe myself.

 

"What were to me?" I asked myself this question every moment of the day.

 

I always longed for you.

 

You were a phantom haunting my mind.

 

You were a curse that violently penetrated my heart.

 

I could not forget you.

 

Years have passed and we never met, not once did I see you.

 

I began to think that we would never meet.

 

I started to wonder if we ever met to begin with.

 

In this life time would I see you I always thought like this.

 

But you never came back into my life, not even once.

 

"Would you appear before me once again, please?"

 

I begged, knowing it was in vain.

 

I still want to see you, even after all this time my love for you did not die.
