The massive white gate in the sky collapsed in a flash of white light. The tall angel, in full metallic armour, stood there frozen. The stump remaining after its hand was blackened, and its flesh made of light kept dimming down. The shiny silver armour was losing its lustre, rust slowly eating through it as the death energy from the reaper's attack kept spreading.

The holy aura radiating out of all angels slowly settled down, losing its power over time.

Vesuvius wasn't even confused about it as he knew the reason behind the angel's weakening, 'They have lost their gate, weakening their connection to the heaven and the higher ranked angels.'

Angels out of all four balance races were the ones that primarily relied on each other. The presence of their numbers always collectively buffed all angels, and the presence of a stronger, higher, ranked angel could easily elevate the power of all angels in their proximity to a new level.

Suddenly a bright beam of light narrowly passed by the dragon's armour, its white light refracting in his crystal spikes.

Vesuvius tilted his wings quickly and rolled to the side, spears of light passing by his side, and blasting into the distance, painting white lines over the black night sky.

A flock of angels rushed towards the dragon, their bodies forged of light soaring through the sky. Their spears of light brightly glowed as they aimed at the dragon. They moved as one, no one hesitating to rush the mighty dragon burning with magma.

The thick black clouds of smoke around the dragon started to crackle, webbing of blue lightning crisscrossing the black background. Laud thunderclaps resounded through the night, contrasting with the quiet soundless attack of the angels.

Mana flowed into the dragon's horns, a bright light glowing out of them with arcs of electricity jumping between them.

The whole sky ignited with electricity, and lightning strikes blasted through it, raining upon the incoming angels, their bodies of light vanishing under the blue flashes, turning into motes of white light.

Notifications filled the dragon's vision as the angels quickly vanished under the onslaught of lightning.

Bright white lights flashed in the distance as a squad of armoured two-winged angels maneuvered through the lightning, their wings of light nimbly flapping. Orbs of light were quickly concentrating on the tips of their spear, quickly growing in intensity. They looked like small stars.

The tips of the spears pointed towards the dragon with magma dripping and raining out of his body.

Vesuvius didn't even bother to try and dodge as he wasn't an idiot, 'Trying and dodge light attacks is almost impossible. It is too fast. This is one of the reasons why being tanky is better. You simply can't dodge everything.'

The lightning kept raining from the sky, the three crystal horns on the dragon's head crackling with lightning and brightly glowing in blue and golden light. Vesuvius felt pain stabbing from his horns, mana leaking and breaking havoc through his body. However, he grunted his teeth, knowing that he had to endure as the lightning was what kept the angels at bay.

The arcs of electricity were breaking havoc through the lines of angels, smiting them and eradicating them in droves.

At the same time, the glow at the tips of the light spears kept quickly intensifying, making the dragon feel as if he was looking straight into the sun.

At once, twelve lights flashed, and beams of light drawn white lines across the sky, all of them hitting the black armour protecting the dragon.

The white light enveloped his whole body, the black armour disintegrating with the top layer turning into dust. The pain stabbed into his scales, their surface turning into a storm of energy.

Magical circles ignited around the dragon's wings, mana flowing into them, with dozens of glowing letters quickly arranged into patterns and shapes.

He flapped his wings as he stationary levitated in the air, and waves of bright yellow flames spread out, moving through the incoming formations of angels.

The flames drowned the waves of incoming angels, their bodies of light igniting in fire, slowly burning away and turning into motes of light.

The angels didn't relent, spreading their formation and spiralling around the dragon, encircling him from all sides. Hundreds of light spears kept pelting him, chipping away at his armour, already revealing the black scales covered with energy flashing over their surface.

The angels kept spiralling around the dragon, horns on his head already heating up from the constant usage. White lights flashed across the sky and flooded the dragon under the unstopping waves of light that kept washing over his body, eating more and more of his defences.

The angels were flying in circles around him, keeping a distance between them and the dragon, preventing him from blowing them all at once. They were like a swarm of angry bees.

'I need to end this quickly!'

The dragon kept his mouth firmly closed, a blend of magma, gasses and lightning climbing out of his throat and gathering in his mouth. The pressure kept growing, and so was the pain of light searing and burning his scales, which kept regenerating over and over, all of the scratches mending in an instant.

He opened his mouth, a bright yellowy white and golden light escaping out, and then a loud bang, even louder than the thunderclaps, resounded through the sky, followed by a volcanic explosion.

A thick, highly pressured stream erupted, passing through the circling angels, their bodies instantly vanishing in the flood of flames, lightning and black pyroclastic clouds. The lightning kept raining from the sky, with the angels dying in droves.

The elemental storm filled the sky, destroying everything in its path.

The dragon just turned his head around, the destructive breath moving through the lines of angels like a mower through the grass. They couldn't even dodge the high-pressurised breath.

Their light stopped raining upon the dragon, and the sky around him finally dimmed as the circling angels turned to ash.

Vesuvius finally stopped pushing mana into his horns, and the lightning storm stopped. Still, the uncomfortable searing and itch constantly stabbed from his horns to his skull.

Only a few angels remained in the sky, flapping their diminished wings, their shiny armour seared and partially melted.

The whole ground was destroyed, even more craters were everywhere, and puddles of lava and acid were sewn through the blackened and shattered land.

The large angel with three pairs of wings was solely flapping its wings as it hovered high in the sky. Bright light radiated out of its severed hand, fighting against the rampart's death energy.

'The death energy in the weapons of reapers is truly like a poison. Even if you survive the initial attack, you will likely die soon after.'

Flocks of angels were turning into dust or falling dead towards the ground with swings of the reaper's scythe, blinding flashes of purple light destroying their bodies.

Smaller groups of angels were fighting against people on the ground with white flashes of light flashing through the black burned lands.

The three-winged angel rose up its sword of light, turning towards the dragon. The light shining through the visor of its helmet pushed against the dragon.

Vesuvius calmy flapped his wings, and multiple crooked red shapes formed in his mind, the neon red curse mana flowing through his veins and entering crooked stars forming in his mouth.

A melodious and pure voice entered the dragon's mind, not spreading through the air but directly entering his soul, ''A dragon, a being of sin. You are greedy, prideful, rageful, slothful and gluttonous. Five out of seven, you are even worse than demons. They at least choose only one or two sins to embrace.''

Vesuvius felt his hearts beat in rage, his hatred towards the angels seeping all the way to his bones, his rageful thoughts entering the channel opened by the angel. "Ohh, you angels are not that different. You push your ideologies on everyone, destroying and sentencing to eternal damnation everyone that may disagree with you. You are even worse!"

Feeling fed up with the angels, Vesuvius opened his mouth, revealing the neon-red light of crooked stars filling his mouth.

A volcanic explosion erupted from his throat, passing through one star after another, the smoke, the magma, and the lightning turning redder and redder.

It exploded out of his mouth, moving straight towards the angel, the red light flooding the whole sky, evil feeling filled with hatred and resentment seeping into the hearts of every living being around.

The angel raised its sword above its head, a dome of light growing from its tip and enveloping the angel in a barrier.

The red explosion smashed against the barrier, flowing around it like a wave around a cliff. A loud bang resounded through the sky, the evil-feeling magma splashing everywhere. The angel moved backwards, pushed by the unstopping wave of flames and destructions, cracks quickly spreading through the barrier surrounding it.
