Emily busied her self by cleaning while she waited.

As a stay-at-home wife, she often found herself waiting. As a result, she often found herself cleaning, or baking, or...

She was happy with the arrangement, of course- She really wasn't cut out for work- but sometimes the waiting was painful.

Especially on Fridays.

Friday was definitely her favorite day of the week. Her husband worked late every other week-day, and their favorite show they liked to watch together only played at times he was working, and only on week-days. The show didn't run on weekends, which seemed like a poor decision on their part, but she enjoyed the show nonetheless.

She anxiously checked the time and found that barely any time had passed, despite cleaning the entire kitchen.

She sighed, and moved on to the living room next.

Emily perked up when she heard the door open, pausing in the brushing of her still-damp hair. She had taken a shower at some point, not knowing any other way to pass the time after she had cleaned the entire house. She was too anxious to sit and read, unfortunately, and she didn't even make an attempt at doing so.

She made it to her husband just in time to see him place his badge and gun holster on the table. As he heard her footsteps the detective turned, and she saw his tired face light up when he saw her. He swooped her into a hug and she returned it happily.

"Hey, Em." He said into her hair.

"Hey, Kay." She returned. "Bad day?"

She instantly felt him tense up around her, and immediately felt bad about asking.

"I don't wanna talk about it." He mumbled. She went to ask if he was okay, but as if sensing her next question, he continued, "I'll be fine in a few minutes, I think. Just... Let me sit here for a while."

She happily obliged, and so they stood there hugging as the minutes flew by.

It wasn't quite late enough for dinner, so Emily whipped up some snacks they could eat while watching their show.

Ten minutes later and they were snuggled together on the couch, underneath a shared blanket. The shows opening credits played, and they both hummed along to the music. The title of the episode appeared, and her brain instantly flew into it's usual detective mode, eyes flicking around to find clues. It was like a game to the two of them to solve the mystery before the show announced it, and she had learned long ago that they often hid clues in the strangest of places.

Case 253: The Seductress

Unlike how you'd expect, it wasn't a competitive game between them. They had a signal for if they found a clue, and if the other didn't give the signal then they would share their findings out loud.

Well... They did keep track of how many clues each found, though.

Some time before they announced the culprit, she said who she thought was the murderer and her husband quickly agreed. It was basically guaranteed that they were correct if they were both in agreement, and she settled back as they watched.

They only mentioned just how the murderer, well, murdered sometime near the end. Probably because it would have easily given it away, she thought.

But when it was revealed, she quickly blurted out, "That's not how I would have done that."

She froze when her husband gave her a weird look.

"How would you have done it, then?" He asked.

She was mildly panicking at this before, her brain racking itself for an answer to this problem, and then it found one.

With a bout of unusual confidence, she stood and enacted her plan.

"Well..." She got a bit closer to the detective. "I would do something similar at first. That is, I would seduce my victim..."

She leaned towards him, getting in position to straddle him.

"I would get closer to them, so they trusted me..." She got close enough he could feel his breath on her face.

"And then, so there was no murder weapon, I would get them in bed, lean in to their throat..."

She did just that, pulling herself closer with her arms wrapped around his shoulders. She could feel him getting hard underneath her.

"And then I would bite down really hard, and tear their throat open..." She purred, right before she nibbled on the soft skin of his throat. A sweet spot, she knew from past experiences, and she felt glee when she heard his breath hitch.

And then she backed away, staring into his lust-filled gaze with an innocent smile.

"Oh Em, you little minx, you're not getting out of this that easily." Was his reply to her advances.

He stood up with her still wrapped around him, picking her up and taking them to the bedroom. The place where magic happened.

After asking for consent of course, because consent was hot.

They barely heard when the show finally announced the murderer, but they grinned when their earlier guess was confirmed as true.

And later that night, when she basked in the afterglow while cooking dinner with a knife in hand, she secretly felt proud of her self for thinking of such a good distraction while under pressure.

After all, it wouldn't be good at all if her detective husband suspected her of something and found her other knife she kept hidden.

That is, her preferred murder weapon.
