Chapter 7: Toy

She was deliberately showing off. Xia Ran was filled with anger, but she wasn’t stupid enough to fall for it. This woman just wanted to show off, so she would accompany her.

Xia Ran smiled faintly with disdain in his eyes. “Why would he mention you to me ? Husband and wife should talk about other things, not about unimportant people, right?”

“Am I really an unimportant person?” Zhu Qian asked.

The little girl in front of her was still a university student with no experience to speak of. She thought that she could easily deal with such a young lady and was prepared to humiliate Xia Ran. In the end, Xia Ran’s reaction made her feel very defeated.

Xia Ran’s youthful and beautiful face looked calm and composed. She wasn’t angry at all. Instead, she looked at Zhu Qian as if she was a mistress and said mockingly, “What else? I’m his wife, but he has never brought me to see you or introduced you to me. Doesn’t that mean that you’re an unimportant person?”

“You!” Zhu Qian was flustered and exasperated. She couldn’t help but want to curse, but she held it in. “You have a sharp tongue. You’re quite eloquent. However, it’s useless. You’re just a country bumpkin. If Mu Hua didn’t sponsor you, you wouldn’t even be able to go to university, right?”

Zhu Qian was telling the truth because Mu Hua had paid for all of Xia Ran’s tuition and living expenses.

Before they got married, Xia Ran and Mu Hua were just philanthropists and beneficiaries.

Xia Ran was an orphan and had grown up in an orphanage. Not all orphans were lucky enough to meet someone like Mu Hua, and she was lucky.

In Xia Ran’s heart, Mu Hua wasn’t only the man she liked, but also the benefactor who gave her a new life.

Otherwise, she would be struggling to make a living in some corner.

After Zhu Qian finished speaking, her eyes revealed disdain. Mu Hua had told her about Xia Ran’s situation so that she would believe that they would get a divorce.

Xia Ran clenched her fists and stared at Zhu Qian with anger.

Although she was young, it didn’t mean that she would let herself be bullied.

“What has it got to do with you?!” Xia Ran puffed out her chest and raised her head, her face filled with arrogance. “Are you jealous of me? The reason he paid for me was because he pitied me, and then he married me because he likes me. What can you do about it?”

Even though she already knew that the man wanted to divorce her, Xia Ran still had to pretend to be his official wife.

She was Mu Hua’s wife now, and Zhu Qian was the mistress!

How could a mistress be so arrogant as to show off in front of his wife? Xia Ran wouldn’t indulge her!

Besides, she had to think of a way to keep her marriage with him so that the child in her stomach could have a complete family.

Zhu Qian was enraged by Xia Ran’s words. When she thought about how Mu Hua had married Xia Ran, she felt upset.

“Do you think he wanted to marry you? If I didn’t go abroad, would you have had the chance? What a joke! I’m the woman he wants to marry. I’m supposed to be the wife!” Zhu Qian’s eyes were filled with jealousy.

Xia Ran gritted her teeth. Of course she knew that. There was no need for this woman to say it.

However, this was fate. If there was anyone to blame, it was him and Zhu Qian. They were destined to be separated.

Xia Ran tried her best to calm down. The more the other party provoked her, the calmer she had to be.

“Auntie, I don’t know what’s going on between you and him, but I’m his legal wife now. If you come over and talk nonsense, it might make people misunderstand that you’re a mistress.” Xia Ran’s serious and sincere expression successfully angered Zhu Qian.

In Zhu Qian’s heart, she was supposed to be Mu Hua’s wife. Xia Ran was just lucky.

“What did you call me?!” Zhu Qian’s face was filled with anger.

Which woman would want to hear this address?

Xia Ran smiled sweetly and cutely. “Auntie, I call Mu Hua Sir. You’re about the same age as him. Doesn’t that make you an auntie?”

“Hehe, Sir?” Zhu Qian sneered. “You also know that there’s such a big difference in age between you and him? A little girl like you has nothing but youth. Who do you think you are? Look, I’m back. He wants to divorce you and marry me. I’m a generous person. I’ll just treat it as him spending money on a sex toy.”

The smile on Xia Ran’s face disappeared. How dare she say that she was a sex toy?!
