Roxie Witmore is about to embark on the career of her dreams. Newly out of uni, she's landed a position at the internationally successful Farley Cosmetics; working under her role model Catherine Farley.

Only Catherine is hiding a supernatural secret, and when Roxie accidentally uncovers it, she's thrust into a whole new world. Terrified of what her boss really is, Roxie is rescued from Farley Cosmetics by a hunky lab technician named Sol, who reveals to Roxie that paranormal creatures exist, Catherine is one of them, and he and the group he works for are on a mission to destroy her.

Introduced to The Order of the Ancile – an ancient organization that's been hunting supernatural beings for the past thousand years – they ask Roxie to help them vanquish Catherine.

As Roxie tries to accept the truth, and prove herself to the Ancile, she begins to let down the walls she's built around herself. For the first time in years, Roxie lets herself get close to someone, as she turns to Sol for guidance and advice.

Roxie's fledgling faith is tested when Catherine manipulates Roxie's feelings, dredging up bad memories of the past, and making Roxie question everything around her.

Only time will tell if Roxie can defeat Catherine, and time is one thing Roxie doesn't have. The longer Catherine remains alive, the more danger Roxie is in. If she wants to keep her soul, Roxie will have to put the past aside, open her heart, and learn to trust again.
