Su Qiong took his 30 yuan and walked on the road against the cold wind.

Although it takes an hour to walk from here to the vegetable market near home, you can save a dollar fifty on bus fare.

Su Qiong strode happily, playing with the little abacus in his mind. The trousers had been washed until its color faded, the hems were all worn out. The brown sweater within the down jacket had a small hole. The sneakers that had been worn for two years, almost every day, washed once a week, was now deformed.

Su Qiong tightly clutched the 30 yuan in his hand, but he dared not carry them in his trouser pocket. One bill was 20 yuan and the other was 10 yuan. The two bills were almost soaked by Su Qiong’s sweaty palms.
