The next day, Su Qiong went to next door in his ripped trousers to borrow some sewing thread.

Aunt Li next door was just divorced last year. She is raising a little son who goes to primary school. Her life is also hard. Of course, she is much better off than Su Qiong.

Su Qiong went home, took off his trousers, draped the quilt on himself, and earnestly mended the big holes in his trousers.

Just halfway through his sewing, the door was knocked on.

Su Qiong thought that it was Aunt Li who needed her sewing threads. He picked up the rest of the threads, wrapped himself up with the quilt, and ran to open the door. The door opened with a slit, only showing a small face.

“Hello.” A low magnetic voice sounded over Su Qiong’s head. Su Qiong was shocked and looked up.

Outside the door stood the man who had accidentally driven into him yesterday.

(T/N: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) )

“I’m sorry, I know it’s too presumptuous to visit your home like this.” The man put his hand on the door frame and smiled apologetically at Su Qiong, “But can I go in? I just need a minute.”

From top to bottom he gave off a natural noble aura, he and Su Qiong are clearly from two different worlds.

In other words, they’re complete opposites.

Su Qiong stood still, so the man took his silence as a tacit consent and went into the house.

""

“Wait a minute…” Su Qiong retreated two steps, his face suddenly turned as red as possible. “I didn’t let you in.”

“My name is Lin Fu.” The man handed out a business card and said sincerely, “I’m sorry about yesterday. If you feel uncomfortable, you can contact me at any time.”

Su Qiong hesitated to take the business card and stressed, “I really am fine…”

Lin Fu sighed, gestured to the thick envelope in his hand and said, “I’ll leave this and go. Although you didn’t ask for compensation, I feel uncomfortable not giving you anything after hitting you.”

“I don’t want any money.” Su Qiong waved his hands frantically.

Because no matter how much money is in his hand, it will be useless. Once the money in Su Qiong’s hand exceeds a certain degree, it will leave Su Qiong for various wonderous reasons. It will be stolen, robbed, blown away by the wind, the place where the money was saved will be on fire, the banking system will collapse, and the bank card will be stolen… in all, nothing can be kept.

Seeing that Su Qiong didn’t take it, Lin Fu looked around for a place, wanting to put the envelope somewhere and just leave. But after hovering his hand in the air for a while, he still couldn’t find a platform to put it on.

Because Su Qiong really has a house with nothing but four walls.

It’s not like he could put it on the floor…

Where the fuck is the table…

Put it on the chair?

Lin Fu contemplated for a while, saw the chair at the corner of the wall, so he walked over.

“Ah, don’t sit down.” Su Qiong thought he was going to sit down and quickly stopped him.

Lin Fu’s eyebrow twitched, “…”

Su Qiong also realized his impoliteness and hastily explained, “This chair has only three legs. If you don’t have a good balance, you will fall. Otherwise, you can sit in bed.”

“…” Lin Fu was speechless. He looked around and saw a pair of pants on the bed that was only half mended.

Pants…

Lin Fu slowly turned his head and looked at Su Qiong carefully.

Su Qiong’s skinny body is completely wrapped up in a quilt, only showing his smooth and slender leg, with obviously no pants over it.

Lin Fu, “…”

Apart from the beggars on the street, this was the first time Lin Fu had met such a poor man in his life.

… Did I actually ruin his only pair of trousers?

Born with a golden spoon, Mr. Lin, who had little contact with the poor from childhood, was stunned by the growing guilt in his heart as he sat on Su Qiong’s bed while holding his forehead.

The bed board trembled in protest.

Su Qiong hurriedly said, “The bed board is not very strong. Please be gentle. If you break it, then I can only lay on the floor…”

“…” Lin Fu’s whole body froze on the bed as he looked at Su Qiong with remorse.

Su Qiong also looked at him with clear eyes.

T/N: omg our super poor Su Qiong… your hubby is in shock…
