Chen Qizhao’s gaze was fixed on the other person’s suite for a moment. Then he moved up his gaze and clearly saw the young man’s face. The young man wore glasses and his figure was long. His neat appearance was extremely incompatible with this clubhouse filled with a debauched air.

“I can stand,” Chen Qizhao said.

It was amazing that despite the strong smell of wine in the environment, he also smelled the disinfectant on Shen Yuhuai’s body. If he smelled it carefully, he could also smell a faint mint fragrance.

He looked at Shen Yuhuai and seemed to see his future appearance from his young face. In the narrow and dim stairwell, surrounded by smelly cleaning tools and loud insults outside, the 27 year old Shen Yuhuai arrived and stared at him with a pair of eyes that contained no fluctuations.

“Yes.” Shen Yuhuai saw that Chen Qizhao was standing firm so he withdrew his hand. Then he looked at Yan Kailin.

Yan Kailin instantly became as cowardly as a chick. “Brother Huai, why did you come here?”

Shen Yuhuai didn’t speak. He just showed Yan Kailin the information on the screen of his phone.

Yan Kailin cursed, “F*k!”

Chen Qizhao briefly withdrew from his memories and realized he was sweating. He stood in front of Shen Yuhuai, looked up at Chen Qizhao and clearly saw that it was a chat interface.

There was also a Moments attached to the chat history. It was from the group of people in the private room who were called friends.

XX: Awesome [Video]

Yan Kailin saw his older brother asking about it and the person honestly reported his box number, thoroughly exposing his location. He wondered if this group of people in the private room was seriously ill. They didn’t even block his brother from their Moments, which was sending him away in advance.

“Your brother saw the Moments and asked me to come and pick you up.” Shen Yuhuai took back his phone. “I remember that the reason you gave me is that you wanted to go out and buy books. This is the first time that I’ve heard you can buy books from this place.”

“This is a big misunderstanding.” Yan Kailin was immediately eager to break off his relationship with that person who posted the Moments. “I have nothing to do with that person. I just happened to go to dinner with Brother Zhao. We encountered them and went to sit in the private room for a while.”

He blinked wildly at Chen Qizhao, taking advantage of the fact that Shen Yuhuai wasn’t paying attention to quietly pull at Chen Qizhao’s back a few times.

Shen Yuhuai heard this and shifted his gaze to Chen Qizhao. “Is that so?”

Chen Qizhao paused for a moment before replying, “Yes.”

Yan Kailin seemed to have been saved. He looked at Chen Qizhao gratefully and continued to follow this clumsy lie. “Didn’t we just meet after buying books? The two of us hadn’t seen each other in years so we came to dinner near the clubhouse.”

He made it up very seriously. He acted like he was a well-behaved boy who bought books and met a friend on the road to eat together.

Shen Yuhuai didn’t have the habit of blocking people at the door of the bathroom to ask questions. He took a few steps back to get out of the way. His voice was calm as if it had nothing to do with him. He just asked, “Have you finished eating?”

Yan Kailin’s eyes dodged around as he replied, “I still have some left in the private room.”

Chen Qizhao stated, “I’m done eating.”

Yan Kailin looked at Chen Qizhao with a confused expression. How were they done eating? The wine in the private room had just been opened. He thought about the bottle of 1976 champagne that he hadn’t had time to taste and said bitterly, “I’ve… finished eating.”

Shen Yuhuai told him, “My car is outside.”

The meaning was obvious. Go with him or continue to mess around here.

Yan Kailin was forced to leave after taking his things. Shen Yuhuai didn’t stay, as if coming here was just a task entrusted by a friend.

The moment that Shen Yuhuai left, Yan Kailin couldn’t help complaining.

Chen Qizhao watched the other person’s figure disappear at the end of the corridor and took the initiative to ask, “How do you know him?”

“Didn’t I say that I returned to China under someone’s watch? I am living with him.” Yan Kailin looked pale. “You know that most of my family’s business is abroad. My brother will return to China in two months to develop here. Therefore, I seized the opportunity to come back and play. Shen Yuhuai and my brother have a good relationship. I came back early and my brother didn’t want me staying at a hotel. He had me live at Shen Yuhuai’s place.”

The relationship between the Yan family and Shen family was really good. Chen Qizhao didn’t remember much about the events of his previous life. He thought carefully and found that Yan Kailin hadn’t seemed to live alone when he came back. He said he lived with his brother’s friend who seemed to be studying at the college here. Then later, he was taken away due to an incident.

Chen Qizhao wondered, “Isn’t he studying at B College? Why is he in S City?”

“Oh, I heard he came to the institute this year with his mentor but I don’t know much about it. In any case, he hasn’t been home much during the two days I’ve been back. I heard that he stayed at the institute.” Yan Kai sighed. He wouldn’t have the courage to play at night if it wasn’t for the fact that Shen Yuhuai wasn’t at home. “Just that, now bast*ard Liu Kai sent that video to his Moments. Is he trying to kill me?”

Chen Qizhao was silent. The Ninth Research Institute…

Did this person come back to S City so early?

The two of them came out of the bathroom and Yan Kailin said, “No, I have to go immediately if Shen Yuhuai is outside. I’m afraid my brother will really call to check.”

“Let’s go then.” Chen Qizhao added, “What is the point of staying there?”

Yan Kailin looked at Chen Qizhao with surprise. “Brother, didn’t you have a lot of fun just now? Cheng Rong also called a few big-breasted girls…”

Chen Qizhao told him, “My brother has also been checking me the past two days.”

Yan Kailin showed pity for this person who was in the same situation as him. “We are too miserable.”

Chen Qizhao wondered, “What did you leave in the private room?”

“It is nothing.” Yan Kailin explained, “Didn’t I just want to buy some time?”

Chen Qizhao sighed. “Then go to the front desk and set a game for Cheng Rong’s group?”

“Yes.” Yan Kailin didn’t quite understand what Chen Qizhao meant. “Why go to the front desk?”

Tonight’s wind was a bit cool. Shen Yuhuai didn’t get into the car and was standing beside it to take a breath. On the chat interface, Yan Kaiqi continued to send messages in a row and all of his words involved his precious brother.

The voice messages were extremely clear in the slightly empty open-air parking lot.

“I found him.”

“He is fine, don’t worry.”

“He said he went to the bookstore and met someone, so they went in for a meal.”

Yan Kaiqi snorted. “You actually believe this nonsense.”

Shen Yuhuai stared into the night in the distance, his voice as usual. “Yes, it is quite serious.”

Yan Kaiqi told him, “That boy doesn’t even dare to answer my calls now. Before I come back, I will ask you to help me keep an eye on him for a while. Then I will invite you for a meal.”

Shen Yuhuai caught a glimpse of the figures walking in the distance. One of them was looking around for someone.

As if noticing his gaze, the pace of the two men heading to this side increased. Neither of them were holding anything in their hands.

Yan Kailin walked over quickly, “Brother Huai, have you been waiting for a long time?”

“Not long.” Shen Yuhuai’s gaze stopped on Chen Qizhao for a moment. Then he didn’t ask anything and directly said, “Get in the car.”

Chen Qizhao got into the car with Yan Kailin and glanced at the driver’s seat from the corner of his eyes.

Shen Yuhuai had taken off his jacket and was wearing a solid-colored short-sleeved shirt inside. His eyes were calm and distant.

The smell of alcohol in the car was a bit heavy. Yan Kailin opened the window for ventilation and kept talking to Chen Qizhao.

In a rare manner, Chen Qizhao was patient and responded from time to time.

“I will probably be in China for a few years this time. I am an exchange student and will study at S College.” Yan Kailin asked, “Brother, what college are you going to? It shouldn’t be too far away. I remember that you have good grades.”

Chen Qizhao replied, “If there are no accidents, it should also be S College.”

Yan Kailin was overjoyed to hear this. “That’s good. Wait for me to ask my brother about it.”

He glanced at Shen Yuhuai, who was sitting in front, and whispered, “Once school starts, I will be able to slip away from under his eyes.”

Chen Qizhao didn’t speak. His eyes stayed on the rearview mirror of the front seat. Through the mirror, he could clearly see Shen Yuhuai’s face.

How many years had it been?

Chen Qizhao saw that young face and thought aimlessly about the past.

Oh yes, he hadn’t seen Shen Yuhuai for eight years.

If Shen Yuhuai hadn’t died unexpectedly in that accident, would he have gone to such extremes later on?

“Brother Zhao?”

The night breeze blew away the alcohol in the car.

Chen Qizhao regained his mind and noticed the gentle and calm eyes in the mirror. “Huh?”

Yan Kailin told him, “Brother Huai asked where you live. He will send you there.”

“I haven’t been back to S City for a few years and I can’t recognize the roads… why is my phone out of battery?”

Shen Yuhuai spoke in a loud voice from the front, “Use my phone to navigate.”

As Chen Qizhao was still thinking about things, Shen Yuhuai had already handed over his phone and unlocked it.

The phone interface was very simple and there weren’t many apps on the home page. Chen Qizhao could see the GPS app instantly. He took the phone and opened the app.

After a while, the car pulled onto the main road.

Shen Yuhuai asked, “Are you okay?”

Chen Qizhao started the GPS and silently closed a background program. “I’m okay.”

The mechanical voice of the GPS played in the car while the drunken Yan Kailin was already sleeping beside him.

Chen Qizhao gazed at the scenery outside the window. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at the person who was driving calmly in front of him.

The next second, he withdrew his gaze and silently recited a certain string of numbers.

He remembered this person’s phone number.

The waiter knocked on the door of a private room and brought in a few bottles of wine.

The group of young people who were drinking didn’t notice the changes in the private room at all. They were having a good time drinking and playing dice. By the time they reacted, over 30 minutes had passed before Cheng Rong realized there were two less people in the private room.

Cheng Rong asked, “Where are Chen Qizhao and Yan Kailin?”

Someone replied, “Huh? Didn’t they go to the bathroom?”

“It has been a long time…”

“It seems like I didn’t pay attention.”

“Hahaha, they can’t drink and vomited it up. Does anyone want to go and take a look?”

“Oh, I saw a message from Yan Kailin. He said that he left with Chen Qizhao first and we can play casually.”

Chen Qizhao was drinking and didn’t have time to care about Yan Kailin and Chen Qizhao.

Those two ancestors were gone so he didn’t have to waste time coaxing them.

It lasted until midnight when the group of people were completely drunk.

They were about to leave when the waiter stopped them.

“Excuse me,this is tonight’s bill.”

The waiter inquired, “Card or cash?”

Cheng Rong was stunned. “Chen Qizhao and Yan Kailin didn’t settle the bill?”

The waiter smiled and said nothing.

Cheng Rong frowned upon seeing this. In the past, Chen Qizhao would rush to pay the bill whenever there was a drinking party.

He said, “Swipe the card.”

He handed his card. Once he finished paying and saw the message that appeared on his phone, he was stunned. He had spent nearly a million at once. “Why is it so much?”

People around him looked over. Cheng Rong carefully looked at the bill and found there were several bottles of precious champagne on it.

He was stunned. “Where did these come from?”

Someone came up to him and said, “The front desk sent it in. It seems that Chen Qizhao and the others ordered it, saying that we should drink.”
