Trying to sneak and harm his wife in his presence? Ha! They must be overestimating him! Shen Yi was still in a pissed off mood when he and Lu Xinyi arrived at the parking lot of the bar. The night was cold, forcing Lu Xinyi to close her jacket and bury her hands on its side pockets.
Noticing her husband's mood, Lu Xinyi stopped and stared at his back.
Shen Yi picked up his phone and called his assistant. They could not go back home when he was like this. As he finished his phone call, he asked his wife in concern.
"Are you alright?" He hoped that he didn't scare her earlier. He tried to finish the fight as soon as possible.
Lu Xinyi gave him a small smile and stepped forward, taking his hand to give it a look.
"I should be the one asking you if you are alright." Her thumb ran on his knuckles.
Shen Yi stared at her, relieved that she wasn't scared of him.
"You were so cool back there. As I expected, my hubby is still the best." She grinned.
He shook his head and stared at the dark sky. Just like what Lu Xinyi said earlier, it was rare for him to leave his place at night to drink with someone else. However, since he was accompanying his wife, he didn't mind the trouble at all.
"We're not going to ride back?" Lu Xinyi asked.
Shen Yi shook his head. A moment later, five black cars arrived at the parking lot. Qiao He stepped out from one of the cars and opened the door of the backseat for his masters. Shen Yi threw the keys of his bikes at him, which Qiao He easily caught.
"Bring them back. You better hide the keys this time," Shen Yi warned him. Lu Xinyi shouldn't be able to ride it again.

Over the next three nights, Shen Yi and Lu Feiran visited Club Fantasia. Since the night Shen Yi beat the crap out of those thugs, the bar was more peaceful and welcoming than the previous nights. The two easily obtained VIP memberships, courtesy of Lady Lang who was in debt for their help.
The other patrons of the bar left the duo alone, but it was a different matter for women. Both Shen Yi and Lu Feiran had a fair share of attention they received from these women. Some were courageous enough to make a move to them but would always leave disappointed as neither of them could seduce the two.
The couple proceeded with their plan. Shen Yi accompanied his wife while she made friends with the bar owner. As she continued to talk with Lady Lang, they slowly found out what kind of person she was.
"My husband passed away two years ago. We used to run this bar together." Lady Lang sighed. There was a hint of sadness in her voice. "Too bad we never had a child of our own."
"It must have been hard for you," Lu Feiran commented while Shen Yi ignored everyone and tuned out the conversation around them.
The old woman smiled bitterly.
"It's alright. I don't think I can be a good mother anyway," she replied.
Her hands were busy wiping the rim of the glass she was holding. Lu Feiran and Shen Yi noticed her unusual silence. Lady Lang was someone who could talk and comment on almost everything. In spite of the fact that she wasn't native of this country, the two were impressed with her fluency in their language.
"How so?" Lu Feiran arched a brow.
"Just a hunch." The old woman said, "I've never been good with children."
When Lu Feiran was about to drink his whiskey, his stomach growled in hunger, making Shen Yi frown at him.
"Oh, dear." Lady Lang laughed, taking the glass from Lu Feiran's hand. "You can't drink with an empty stomach. Why don't you order something to eat first?"
Lu Feiran scratched his head and smiled.
"Uhh… alright. Can Lady Lang cook me something?" He grinned.
"I'm not a good cook, Mr. Lu; but I heard my Omurice is good enough to fill your tummy." Lady Lang winked at him.
"Then one order of Omurice please!"
When Lady Lang left, Lu Feiran turned to Shen Yi and whispered.
"She hasn't forgotten her yet."
"It wouldn't be easy for one to forget her own daughter."
Half an hour later, Lady Lang came back with a newly cooked Omurice on a plate. Lu Feiran's eyes sparkled as the dish was placed in front of him. He dug in and savored the flavor that tickled his taste buds.
He enjoyed the scrambled eggs in ketchup, the sweet and savory chicken, and tomato fried rice on the inside. Although everyone would make it a little differently, the omelet was usually stuffed with chicken rice—which was fried rice that was made with chicken and seasoned with ketchup. This gave it a vibrant red color and savory-sweet taste which was the trademark flavor of this dish.
"How is it?" Lady Lang asked in anticipation, "Is it good?"
"Very good." Lu Feiran nodded. "No wonder they said this is Lady Lang's specialty." He teased.
"It's okay. This is the only dish I can cook properly," the old woman confessed.
"Because it's your favorite?" Lu Feiran continued to eat while conversing with Lady Lang.
"Hehe, it's because before meeting and marrying my husband, I was so poor I can't afford to buy different meals in a day. So I have to cook every morning and eat the same dish every meal until I get tired of it."
The music on the dance floor changed to a familiar tune. Lu Feiran brought down his spoon to look at the crowded dance floor.
"Oh, I know this song. It's really popular these days. What's the name of that singer again?"
"Zheng Yue," Lady Lang replied, her voice a little somberer than usual.
"Right. Zheng Yue. Such a beauty, too bad her previous manager stabbed her in the back. It must have been hard for her to face those controversies," Lu Feiran commented. He sighed, showing pity on his face.
"What do you mean controversies? Did something wrong happened to Zheng Yue?" Lady Lang asked worriedly.
Lu Feiran was caught off-guard by the sudden change of the old woman. Was this really the same woman who abandoned Zheng Yue when she was young? Was she really that hateful woman that Zheng Yue painted her to be?
"I'm not sure. Now that Zheng Yue is having a setback in her career because of the rumors about her birth mother, her rival Jiang Weiwei has taken over most projects that she was supposed to do. If this continues, I'm not confident that Zheng Yue will be able to keep her career even with Griffin Entertainment's backing."
