Piglet Sniffing Cabbage (1)
The pale white sand sculptures reflected dots of silver light under the bright sun, making it look like stars falling on the beach. The sea breeze was blowing gently, and the air was filled with the faint salty smell of the ocean.
The waves kept beating against the foot of the mountain not far away, causing bursts of echo that felt long and timeless, following each other in a hypnotizing rhythm.
The people on the beach were very comfortable, enjoying a leisurely afternoon accompanied by the cool sea breeze.
This was the peak tourist season, but there were not many people on the beach. Only a few people were busy on the beach setting up the wedding.
Guests to the wedding would arrive at this venue tomorrow. The beach had been booked in advance and wasn’t accepting other tourists. Right now, the only people on the beach were the bride and groom, their families and the staff of the wedding company.
The groom and bride were Jiang Xing and Tao Tao.
Tao Tao had been by Jiang Xing’s side for so many years, and she had transformed from a simple college student that looked like a white rabbit into a smart and capable working woman.
What had happened to them, Jiang Xiaoman didn’t know. She only knew that not long after the college entrance examination, her uncle said that he was going to get married. Moreover, the wedding was specially postponed for her, which made Jiang Xiaoman feel rather bad about it.
So, not long after the results came out, they went straight to this small island.
Jiang Xiaoman was of course very happy. The same went for Yu Qingshi.
Maybe Jiang Xiaoman didn’t even remember it, but Yu Qingshi still remembered his expectations from the other day. After the high school entrance examination, he once had an opportunity to go to the beach with Jiang Xiaoman for a vacation. At that time, Yu Qingshi had already prepared his things, but when the time came Jiang Xiaoman suddenly never came back.
…Of course, this kind of thing need not be brought up again.
Looking back on the days when he was holding Fragrance while waiting for Jiang Xiaoman to come back, he still felt sad.
Later, Yu Qingshi was finally enlightened. He understood that he couldn’t leave Jiang Xiaoman to her own devices. He had to take the initiative to find her, otherwise he might be left behind and be forgotten forever.
So Yu Qingshi rushed to the school where she was studying.
And later on, things…
Ended on a satisfying note… was what Yu Qingshi thought.
He turned his head and glanced at Jiang Xiaoman. He saw that she was building a castle with a bucket in one hand and a shovel in the other. It was obviously something a child would do, but she had a lot of fun playing by herself. She was very focused, as if she was trying to solve a problem.
She was probably going to build a Great Wall, Yu Qingshi thought.
Yu Qingshi laid on the beach, took the straw hat she had put on the ground and put it on his face. He spread out his slender limbs, his posture extremely relaxed. His fair skin was very eye-catching in the sun, and he was really good-looking.
Jiang Xiaoman shoveled a handful of sand and incidentally glanced at him, feeling a little sad that his cold white skin was about to be tanned. But she was very happy, because if he looked darker, then she would look whiter.
Very nice. Beauty was something that needed something as its foil.
Jiang Xiaoman quickly continued to build her work happily – she wanted to make a mighty and domineering dragon.

If she knew Yu Qingshi’s evaluation of her work, Jiang Xiaoman would probably cause trouble.
She had no self-awareness of her own crafting abilities.
The system said, “Host, there is a crab under your feet.”
Jiang Xiaoman looked down and found that a little crab was moving with difficulty beside her toes that were stuck in the sand. She picked it up, not afraid of being clamped by the crab’s claw, murmuring, “Will its umami taste be amazing if I swallow it?”
System: “……”
It really didn’t understand humans very well.
“I don’t know,” said the system, “I haven’t eaten one before. But isn’t the reason you humans come to the seaside to eat seafood just for the sake of umami?”
Jiang Xiaoman nodded and said, “System, you are so pitiful.”
“…” The system didn’t want to pay any more attention to her. Originally, it just wanted to remind her not to be caught by the crab’s pincers, but she turned and laughed at it.
She was no longer its cute and fluffy host!
She was getting worse and liked to bully it more.
Jiang Xiaoman didn’t actually swallow the poor little crab, but pushed it and drove it away.
It took about half an hour for her to build the sand sculpture that you wouldn’t know what to call it. Jiang Xiaoman wiped the sweat on her forehead with a sense of accomplishment and woke Yu Qingshi next to her.
“Get up, let’s go back to take a shower.”
At this time, the sun was already going westward and starting to set, as if it was appearing and disappearing behind the mountains. The originally mild sea breeze started to feel a little cold.
There was also a small dinner party in the evening, so it was time to go back and prepare.
Yu Qingshi opened his sleepy eyes in confusion and let Jiang Xiaoman pull himself up, then went back to the holiday villa by the sea with her.
Before leaving, Yu Qingshi looked at the results of Jiang Xiaoman’s busy work all afternoon. A pile of sand sculptures in the shape of a hill; he thought that she was probably making a huge X mark.
It was a pity that he didn’t dare to say it, and didn’t dare to question Jiang Xiaoman’s aesthetic sense.
Her hands were soft and small, and her palms that had just played in the water felt cool and were very comfortable to hold. Yu Qingshi couldn’t help pinching her palm, which made her turn around and glare at him.
Yu Qingshi grinned and pinched her again, teasing her.
Jiang Xiaoman suddenly stopped. Her face was slightly red, she put all the tools in his arms, pushed his back and the two entered the room together.
