*Bell rings~*

The school bell rang letting know the students to go home. Not having to do anything more exciting in school, Homura quickly packed his bag and walked out of his classroom.

“Better go home quickly… I am also worried about Pikachu.”

Many students same as him were also going home making the place a bit cheerful. Coming school may be a bother, but going out from school is never a bother.

Homura as a low-key guy passed all students and walked towards his apartment. He then took out his phone to see if any views are on his novel.

Homura at that night thought of many novels but he couldn’t find any famous one matching his pen name. So, at last he wrote ‘5 Centimeters Per Second’ and painted the cover all night in his drawing pad. 

The cover was full of pink due the cherry blossom tree in background with both protagonists – Takaki and Akari standing face to face under the falling petals.

Even Homura couldn’t believe when he completed the cover. He was himself mesmerized by the drawing and properly saved it his laptop.

He logged in to the website through his phone and he saw a bunch of notifications and comments in his account.

“It hasn’t a been a day and so many comments.”

He then opened his novel page only to be shocked by the number of views!

“1.25 million views! How it could be possible?”

Homura freaked out knowing so many people have already seen the first part of the book. He was happy but just the success came too quickly… So, he couldn’t believe it.

He opened his official social media accounts and 20,000 people have already followed him! And the tweets are all about the yellow mouse’s photo, Homura posted when he opened the account.

While surfing through the tweets, he noticed a message. An editor who wants to publish his book. He saw the number posted by her, but he wasn’t that hurry to call her. 

“After reaching home, I will talk to editor about the novel.”

Thinking how easily he succeed he just couldn’t help but smile. It’s good that nobody was nearby him.

With such a happy news, he was walking and jumping throughout the road. 

“Oh! A Convenience store. Today I am in happy mood. Let’s get some special for today’s dinner. I am sure Pikachu will be jump in happiness as well.”

He entered and selected many types of premium meat, chips, and cola for snacks and some accessories needed in his apartment. Then he came to counter to pay of the bill.

“Hello! How could I help you?”

Homura looked at the counter lady’s face and he quickly recognised her.

‘Isn’t she Aoyama Nanami?’

Homura quickly recognised her as she was a very good character in the anime – Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo.

Homura smiled a bit and after the bill, he 

walked out of the store normally. But he didn’t know that Aoyama Nanami who saw him will never forget his bright smile.

“I’m home! Pikachu!”

Homura shouted and Pikachu who heard him came running to him and jumped to give him a hug. Homura patted him and handed him the Pikachu’s favourite chips and cola.

“Take these. I am a bit happy today. So, this a treat from me.”

“Pikachu!”

Pikachu smiled happily and took the chips and putted them in his secret place. And cola was naturally in refrigerator.

Homura smiled seeing Pikachu in whole operation and he walked to his room and changed into casual clothes.

“Finally, all disguises are out. *Sigh! * I finally get how hard it is for celebrities to walk around.”

Taking a pocky out of the snacks box, he powered up his laptop.

*Crunch! *

“These pocky are really good.”

Pikachu also curiously came to see what Homura was doing. Pikachu sat on his lap and looked up to take a look on laptop.

Homura first opened his social media website. There wasn’t much change of followers from the time of noon. He wasn’t that surprised. After all, getting 20,000 followers a day is already outrageous. 

Then he remembered Tomoya’s account – ‘Taki-kun.’ He searched for it, was really surprised to see Tomoya’s followers. He also followed him and then searched for some famous other writers and mangaka and followed them as well.

If his follow list would be empty, wouldn’t it would a bit embarrassing?

And after sorting out everything in his social media, he logged in to the light novel website. And his views were already about to cross 2 million! After reading some random comments, he finally decided to do the most important task of the day.

He opened his phone and dialled a number from the laptop.

*Tring! * *Tring! *

“Hello?”

“Yes, Hello. Is this Machida Sonoko from Fujikawa Shoten?”

“Yes. Who is this?”

“I am author of 5 Centimeters Per Second, Sakura.”

“What!?”
