「Also, Vongo has been into cooking lately. She was making fried noodles with meat and vegetables in an iron pot.」
「Heh, Vongo.」
That’s yakisoba!
I never thought that real yakisoba would be reinvented from instant yakisoba.
I have mixed feelings.
「I don’t know what it tastes like because she only had Pickles eat it but, I’m told it looked delicious.」
「I see.」
「Bow! wow!」
Suddenly, the dog started barking at the door of the office and without a pause, a person came in.
It was the redhead fishkin, Roast, the vice leader of the Magical Schenker Group.
「Yow Chicken, it’s about this receipt.」
「Hey you, don’t you know how to knock?」
「Areh? Young master is here too.」
She always calls me young master.
I don’t mind since I’m a real young master.
On the shoulder of the red-haired fishkin is a red-furred magic construct kitten. It is wrapped around on her shoulders like a collar.
It looks like this one is pretty well taken care of too.
「Does Roast eat instant noodles?」
「I sometimes eat fried noodles while working. After all, you only need to add hot water in it. As long as you have water and pot, you can eat it so it’s very handy.」
「Do you think it will sell well to adventurers?」
「Adventurers in Torquiva don’t travel that far which means they don’t even set up camp in the first place. You better sell them to the caravans.」
Fuhn, caravans huh.
It seems to be selling well to laborers so depending on where we sell to, we might be able to do more with the fried noodles.
I don’t care if it takes a long time but I’d like to at least earn back the development costs….
Yosh!
「Chicken, sell it to the peddlers.」
「Okay, I’ll tell the person in charge.」
「Kwun」
I slumped down, crossed my legs, and petted the puppy’s throat while giving Chicken instructions.
Do I look like a villain now….?
Or do I look like a middle-aged dog lover?

Summer is almost over but it’s still hot.
The pool I built the other day seemed to be popular with off-duty slaves.
Since it was built as a leisure pool, it is in the shape of a mortar and water is only up to the chest level at the deepest part.
Fortunately, they were rescued immediately and only drank a little water. However, that’s still dangerous.
This area is deep inland.
Most people from this area don’t know how to swim.
Some of the guys from the army are trained swimmers and some of them are natural-born swimmers, like fishkins.
I think those who can’t swim will gradually learn how to swim from such people but for the time being, we need to take some measures.
So, I found something like a floating palm fruit at the market. I stuffed them into a net and made a kind of floating ring and put it in the pool.
It seems like everyone was happy to use it.
With the advent of the floating ring, the number of pool users, which is already a lot, jumped up.
Feeling good about it, I tied up bamboos and made something like a small raft.
It was fun just to float on cool water.
Everyone was very excited to get on top of it and I heard that it was very well received.
The rafts were a big hit and the pool, and more and more people went to the already packed pool.
Why do I always say “I heard”?
Because I didn’t go there.
You wouldn’t want your superiors to come to the playground with you, do you?
Well, I got a few compliments thanks to the pool so I was already happy with that.
I built it for myself to begin with.
The floats and rafts I prepared are made of natural materials so I’m sure they’ll go bad before next year but we’ll probably be able to get our own materials to replace them by then.
The first idea for something like this is always the hardest part.
The rest will develop on their own and that’s all that matters…..
What a surprise. I heard that the slaves have already developed something strange.
On my weekend visit to the pool, there was a big, slide-like thing made of bamboo and wood beside the pool.
「What is that?」
「I think it’s probably for gaining momentum and jumping into the pool.」
「As expected of your slaves, they think of strange things.」
How did they use this?
I think if you slide on something like this in a bathing suit, the friction will hurt your ass like a bee sting.
I wonder if they used some kind of device to do it or did they use it while pouring water?
I gave the bamboo slide a push and it didn’t even budge.
It’s sturdy.
I looked at the woodwork, which was carefully detailed and was even assembled with no gaps.
Whoever you are, you’ve done well. I’ll ask who made it later.
I was just now looking for a craftsman who would do this kind of detailed work.
