Nyx was at Aileen's bar with his subordinates, upset. His benighted eyes were everlastingly dark. He hated defeat. So much so that it was all he thought about and could never forget no matter what.

"Seven times," he snapped, "that's how many times I've failed a plan. So many times I've proven as a failure to myself." abhorrence to his tone.

Krod shook his head. He had regenerated his body thanks to his demonic abilities. He chugged an entire glass jug of beer. Then he slammed the empty glass upon the table, a sigh trailing the sound. "I am tired of you worrying about failure, boss. Look, it doesn't matter. Besides, we haven't even failed yet."

Alura smirked, a wine glass between her fingers, and a cheek in her hand. "Yeah, boss—just as Krod said—we have not yet failed. We know their locations, their strengths and weaknesses—practically everything. What is the plan now? We are going back for them, aren't we?" she carried the glass to her lips.

Nyx heaved. "Yes, we will go back for them," he glared, "but not to kill them and take the systems."

Krod grimaced, gagging on his drink. He set the other glass he was drinking on the table, and looked at Nyx. "What do you mean, boss? If we do that, how are we supposed to complete our objective and make you crowned prince?"

Alura chimed in. "And 'systems'? I thought we were only after Jin's system." she licked her lips to rid them of the blood red wine.

Nyx then responded. "We're going to accept failure … but not for long. We're not going take the system within the two days we have left. I have a far more feasible plan since the disciple is there protecting it.

"And yes, there are two systems," he smirked, "a staggering coincidence that his companion who—so goes by the name of someone we hate—has a system as well."

Alura chuckled. "How," her eyes glowed pink, "enticing …" her voice was still at the pinnacle of alluringly seductive.

Krod stood. "Just that alone gets me heated up. Boss? Do you mind if I use the forty-two people here as practice targets for my new powers?"

Nyx sighed. "Do whatever you please. After all, you did embarrassment with those incompetent skills of yours in your battle against the human," he finally drank from his glass of wine, "Just make sure you don't get blood on my attire." his eyes nictates as voice trailed off.

Krod smirked. He placed a fist in his palm, cracking his fingers in turn. "Thanks, boss. I'll make it quick."

Aileen rolled her eyes as she approached their table with an iron tray of glasses brimmed with alcohol. "I'm not waitress. A bartender's enough. But I'll make an exception for you all. Also, Krod, you look like you're gonna make trouble. Better not as much as break a single glass while doing so."

Krod glanced at her. "Can you not just make another one with your replication Ability?"

She snapped, slamming the tray of glasses on the tabletop. "How am I supposed to replicate anything when the cups are all broken? More than twenty cups break everyday!" her eyepatch made her look more fierce.

She stomped off as Krod turned to another table of people.

Alura looked around. "Where is Baron? He loves the bar. The word bar can be extracted from his first name. He wouldn't miss a day of drinking for nothing."

Nyx heaved. "He has been a bit gloomy these days. I want you to keep an eye him. It seems he's gotten rather sentimental during these days with Jin and his friends. I saw it coming …"

Alura gazed at him. "He has really been acting strange. He hasn't spoken to us at all after we've betrayed the human. It appears he has truly gotten sentimental—disgrace to our kind.

"He grew attached to Sylvia, and Jin quite a bit. He's always been enthusiastic about people other than his own demon kind. Speaking of Sylvia," her eyes darkened, "Did you send someone to kill off that bitch yet?"

"No, I haven't."

She grimaced. "What do you mean? You do know that she knows a lot about us right? When she's just a paid actor? We cannot risk her reporting us."

"No one will believe her," Nyx took up a glass. "Each and everyone one of those ordinary citizens think we, demons, are all deceased. But if you wish," he glimpsed at her, "You can go fetch out the girl, and kill her yourself … because clearly you envy her."

Alura blushed. "What do you mean? How dare you—"

Nyx glared ferociously at her. "Remember who you are speaking to. Just because I'm consorting with you weaklings doesn't mean you have the right to speak to a prince however you so wish, mortal."

She averted her eyes. "I'm utterly sorry, my prince. I do hope you forgive me."

"Don't worry," he said, "it won't happen again … I won't let it, so you can relax." he drank from his cup.

Alura tinged.

Krod walked over to the nearest table where four people were seated. He took one of their drinks from their table and gulped it down right in front of them.

They swept their eyes up his tall, broad build. Then, recognition dawned on their drunken minds. They furrowed their brows.

One of them had a strange mustache. He slammed his hand the table. "You creature, you! Why did you take my drink—I paid for that!"

Krod smirked. He aggressively bashed the glass jug into the old man's head. Blood. The concussion caused the figure to tumble, falling sideways and out of his seat.

Krod then turned his head, and took up another one the many glasses on the table. He gulped the entire thing down. "Tastes good, mates."

The other three figures, brimming with malice like a glass cup brimming with beer, were about to get up. Krod quickly stroked his empty hand forward, and the entire table and the chairs around it went pictching toward another table.

The table crashed into another table, the glasses began to crash and shatter. One of the figure were knocked out of his seat. Another hobgoblin, quickly fished its hands in its pockets, and took out a gun, pointing it at Krod.

Krod swept a hand into the air. "You we're going to shoot a brother?!"

The two tables were tossed into the air, crashing into the ceiling. All seven of the people who were seated at the table had crushed their heads into this ceiling, and blood splattered everywhere.

Krod smirked; roving at his forearms from the palm and dorsal view. "It feels good to get reawakened again. This is the true power of telekinesis. I haven't even tested my new black flames y—"

Suddenly Aileen, hurled a knife into Krod's chest. The knife impaled him. Then, she raised a hand; and the knife relocated itself seven times. She closed her hands, and then finally outstretched her fingers again. The knifes—all in Krod's flesh, scattered in different directions, slicing Krod's body like a pizza.

She knitted her brows. "I told you … not to break stuff!"

Krod, with a knife in his brain, smirked, his eyes rolling up in his head. "That was beautiful—I've been prodding you to show me your ability for weeks. Though, I didn't see it properly this time either."

He pulled the knife from his head. "My eyes were fixed at you. Y'mind doing that again?"

She rolled her eyes.
