Chapter 84 – Contents of the Letter

Looking at it alone would be the norm for this kind of stuff.

This piqued my curiosity.

If it’s a love letter, it should have been in a cute envelope (presumed) and sealed with a heart sticker (presumed).

Besides… It was the same pattern when I first met Sara-senpai.

“Hm? That’s strange? Coming from a girl, the cellophane seal is not very alluring.”

Hayato, a veteran(?) in this field, said that this love letter most likely came from an unpleasant boy.

That’s why I opened it here and now.

“Come to the incinerator after school.”

It was a very cliche call.

Did she summon me by letter because she couldn’t reach me in class?

Well, I haven’t decided if I’d go or not.

“Oh! That’s quite a passionate love letter.”

Before I could even notice, Hayato was peeking from behind me.

It was not from a girl, so I don’t mind.

“Is it from them?”

Probably, it was like that when I met Hayato for the first time.

I’m pretty sure that’s the case.

In other words, this love letter is from a boy. The topic would probably be a not-so-happy confession. And there is a possibility of a brawl afterward.

“Haa… What a pain…”

I could just ignore it, but if we are in the same class, I don’t know what will happen in the future.

There is also the possibility that it will become even more troublesome.

“The chances are high that they are from your class. You could always prepare for countermeasures and politely decline whatever they have planned. “

That’s already a given.

Are they idiots? Don’t they have any confidence in asking me face to face like a man?

I can’t let my guard down. But there is a possibility that my high school life will be better if I settle this right here.

“So, what are you going to do?”

“Uh… do you have time after school, Hayato?”

Since he knows all about it anyway, I’ll just ask for his help.

So, I asked for his cooperation politely.

“Leave it to me for photographing or filming if something goes wrong!”

Hayato replied with a grin.

Please stop with that kind of joke.

At worst, I’ll just run away when I see them at first glance.

“Sorry for this… Then, see you after school.”

Ugh, what a pain this is…

——————————————

After school, I acted separately from Kazunari.

According to our LINE meeting, I decided to go ahead and position myself. This is to see Kazunari’s position clearly.

I hate to say it, but those kinds of guys are the ones who always approach me.

There were two guys who call themselves my friends, but their real intention was to get close to girls through me.

So I made it clear to everyone around me that I didn’t like them, but before I knew it, those two were gone.

It was annoying, and I wanted them to go away so that I could approach Kazunari.

In that logic, having a smartphone is very convenient.

“There he is! Yokogawa! Hey! Can you get in touch with Takanashi?”

He’s the guy Kazunari was talking to this morning in class.

I don’t know his name… But there seems to be a problem?

“Is there a problem?”

It’s concerning since he had a worrisome look.

“There’s a strange group moving around and mumbling Takanashi’s name earlier. Is he all right? Let’s warn Takanashi about it.”

Group?

So it wasn’t those two this time?

Hmm… So my guess is wrong?

This is not good. I need to get there fast…

——————————————

“Natsumi-senpai, there’s trouble!”

The girl who was always in the cheering group came up to me in a hurry.

Sara was also with me, so we stopped to hear the whole story.

“Satsukawa-senpai’s fanclub…'”

“Please don’t say anything disgusting!”

Sara treats them as nonexistent, so she doesn’t want to hear anything concerning those guys.

But what do they mean when they say, “there’s trouble”?

“Are those guys up to something again?”

“Ah! Yes! The guy friend who was always with Natsumi-senpai…”

“What’s wrong with Takanashi-san?”

As usual, when it comes to Takanashi-kun, Sara is quick on the uptake.

“I heard that the fan club called out your friend! I got a call from my friend who happened to get the information. And now those guys are in the incinerator…”

Sara was about to run, so I grabbed her.

That was close… Of course, I couldn’t let her go alone.

——————————————

So he was called out.

Takanashi-san also knows that I don’t like them.

That fan club… I don’t like them. I left them alone because I didn’t want to contact them. Plus, they didn’t do any actual harm and rarely appeared before me.

But because of that, Takanashi-san…

If they even touch a finger of Takanashi-san, I will never forgive them.

——————————————

This is not good.

Those guys usually move stealthily. And there are examples of them doing hurtful things.

If they called Takanashi-kun out of jealousy, it’s sure that they will do something.

It would be best to check the situation.

“Natsumi, let go! I have to go right away… If they touch Takanashi-san, all of them will…”

Sara seldom took an authoritative tone.

If I let her go, I don’t know what she will do to those guys.

Sara looked like she would do something destructive.

Sara always looked at boys who wooed her like dust, becoming rough in tone when she was in a bad mood.

Meeting Takanashi-kun, a person she wanted to protect, might have been the point at which she started to change.

“I’m coming with you!”

I can’t take my eyes off Sara because she might run out of control.

We ran towards the incinerator, running with our hands linked together.

When we got near the incinerator, we proceeded to check the surroundings.

Then I saw Yokogawa-kun hiding behind a tree. He was probably recording as he was holding his smartphone.

He seemed to have noticed us and had a surprised expression. But he immediately turned his look back to his smartphone, to the direction where the event was taking place.

Looked like Takanashi-kun was over there.

As I approached Yokogawa-kun, I heard a voice, although I still didn’t comprehend it.

“!!”

Sara tried to jump out, but I managed to stop her.

“Sara… it’s okay… calm down…”

“I am… calm…”

I don’t know how she can say that. But she has an expression I have never seen before. Her eyes were scary, like someone who wants to kill.
