Swoosh!
The Life Energy that engulfed the sky and the earth was attracted over by Yang Ling’s Psychic Wizard Spell, and it formed a dense green fog. The Graveyard of Gods and Devils’ worldly spiritual energy was denser than Tailun Continent by a dozen or even tens folds, and it was the same for the Life Energy contained in its primitive forests.
The Life Cage’s withered vines were nourished by the green fog, and they quickly recovered their Life Force. They started crazily absorbing the Death Energy contained within the scarlet light barrier, and in an instant, the scarlet light barrier released by the Magical Formation Spell started shaking intensely, and a cracking sound echoed out. It was on the verge of collapse, while the Chief Elven Priestess’s body turned lighter because she bore lesser pressure than before, thanks to Yang Ling’s help.
Crack!
As they consumed each other’s power, the temple’s Protective Magical Formation Spell quickly collapsed, and the Protective Formation Spell that obstructed the numerous mammoths for 100,000 years finally disappeared.
“Yang Ling, thank you.” The Chief Elven Priestess’s face was pale, and she quickly consumed several drops of the Life Spring’s water to replenish her consumed energy. This Magical Formation Spell’s power was beyond her imagination. But, it was fortunate that it was damaged heavily, and if this wasn’t the case, she wouldn’t have managed to break it even by joining hands with Yang Ling.
“Priestess, you don’t have to be so polite.” Yang Ling chuckled and landed on the ground before he waved his hand to collect the Great Wizard Altar.
The two people he respected the most among Tailun Continent’s numerous experts were Mr. Raymond that had unfathomable power and the kind-hearted Chief Elven Priestess. She was among ice-cold and ruthless experts, yet she was still kind-hearted and generous, and this was why people respected her. She had helped Yang Ling many times at critical junctures, and he bore this in his mind.
After the crowd rested for a while, they walked toward the temple prudently. The bald mammoth Bartley took the lead, and he softly pushed open the temple’s great gate.
Creak!
The wooden gate was old, and it let out an unpleasant creaking noise while the air sealed inside assaulted their faces. The temple’s air was murky, and the Chief Elven Priestess instructed the crowd to stop because she was afraid that some toxic gas was within the temple. But, after they waited for a while and ascertained that there wasn’t any danger, they walked inside carefully.
The temple was also quite big like the destroyed castle, and its expanse was as big as a soccer field. However, the crowd was surprised to discover that it didn’t have anything other than a large altar, and it was quite simple-looking. The ground was made out of bluestone, and many complex decorative designs were carved on the walls and the ceiling. Those designs seemed like totems, yet they also seemed like a strange spell.
The altar was quite big, and it was wholly black. It was unknown from which materials it was made, and it emitted wave upon wave of Death Energy. A hide that didn’t rot even after innumerable years was in the middle of the altar, and this seemed like the place where the black-robed old man Artest prayed or practiced.
The crowd was surprised to discover that more than ten corpses were around the altar. Some of them had rotted long ago, and just an eerie skeleton was left out of them, while some were drenched with blood and seemed lifelike. They still retained their previous appearance during their lives. In addition, there were some corpses like a mummy that had just a layer of skin left over their bones, and they seemed terrifying and eerie.
Could it be that those corpses were the uninvited guests that intruded into the temple in the past?
Yang Ling and Bartley exchanged a glance before they walked over carefully. Yang Ling still weaved a Wizard Seal as a precaution so that he could teleport promptly once he detected anything amiss. The people who could easily intrude into the temple and fight against the black-robed old man Artest weren’t ordinary experts, and none knew whether they left any traps before their death. This was why they had to guard against them!
“A Godhead, it’s a Death-Attribute Godhead.” The Corpse Wizard King that followed Yang Ling took several steps before he cried out involuntarily, and as a swooshing noise echoed out, he rushed over and took a black Godhead from a corpse. He was quite swift, and even Yang Ling couldn’t obstruct him. But it was fortunate that an accident didn’t occur.
“That is right, it’s really a Death-Attribute Godhead, and it’s still the Godhead of a High-Level Deity or an apex High-Level Deity.” After the Chief Elven Priestess carefully observed the Energy Ripples of the Godhead in the Corpse Wizard King’s hand, her face turned pale. She knew long ago that this temple wasn’t simple, but she still didn’t expect that she would find into this precious Godhead here.
Just the Energy Ripples of the Godhead let a Mid-Level Deity like her that practiced the Life Law shiver with fear, and the terrifying power of the Godhead’s owner during his life was really unimaginable. He was at least more powerful by much than the Abyssal Demon Barr met by them on that day.

One, two…
The crowd quickly found five Godheads in the vicinity of the corpses. There was one with the Death-Attribute, Wind-Attribute, and Life-Attribute, while there were two with the Force-Attribute. There were in total fifteen corpses, but after they looked around, they found just five Godheads. It was unknown whether the remaining Godheads were already taken or destroyed.
“A single deadly sword strike. I can ascertain that this expert was killed in the past by a single sword strike, and his Godhead was destroyed directly.” After the Sword God observed this place carefully, he spoke as he picked a Godhead’s fragment in a corpse’s vicinity. He couldn’t help but shake his head in disbelief!
There were in total fifteen corpses in the altar’s vicinity, and according to the Godhead or Godhead’s fragments left behind, they all possessed an apex High-Level Deity’s power. What surprised the crowd was that all corpses were killed by a single deadly strike. The space between their brows was either stabbed by a sword, and their soul was extinguished, or their chest suffered a sword’s strike, and their Godheads were shattered.
Fifteen experts with an apex High-Level Deity’s power joined hands, yet they were still killed by a single deadly strike of the enemy. Their enemy’s terrifying power was really unimaginable!
The Sword God shook his head in disbelief. Even though he had already heard Mr. Raymond talking about the terrible power of the peerless powerhouse training in selection in the Graveyard of Gods and Devils, it was only on this day that he understood their great power and terror. It was no wonder that the Protective Magical Formation Spell set up by him was so powerful even though it was old and heavily damaged.
Those were fifteen experts with an apex High-Level Deity’s power, and any one of them could easily crush their group.
The Sword God turned pale with fright, and this was also the case for Yang Ling, the Chief Elven Priestess, and others. They turned more fearful as they observed this place, and this was especially the case for Yang Ling. Yang Ling couldn’t help but compare the black-robed old man Artest with Raymond that had unfathomable powers, and he wondered which was the strongest between them. Yang Ling also got more curious about what happened in the past, and the reason why those fifteen experts with an apex High-Level Deity’s power intruded into the temple and carried out a great battle against Artest.
Fifteen experts with an apex High-Level Deity’s power had joined hands, and their offensive power was no small matter. Even though all of them died, according to Bartley’s memory, the black-robed old man Artest was also drenched with blood, and he flew out hastily. He didn’t come back since then, and it seemed like he sustained grave internal injuries.
Could it be that it was a fight over a treasure?
As Yang Ling observed the strange altar and the empty temple, his imagination ran wild. The reason why an earth-shattering battle occurred in the past was either enmity or a treasure. If it was the latter possibility, then it was really unimaginable what kind of treasure those experts with an apex High-Level Deity’s power risked their lives to get.
“Well? Lord, there is a ring, and a strange dragon head is carved on it.” The Corpse Wizard King searched everywhere like a hunting dog to see whether there was any treasure left, and he quickly managed to find a strange ring near the corpses. As the Corpse Wizard King spoke, he rushed over and handed over the ring to Yang Ling.
The Nine-Dragon Divine Ring?
After Yang Ling carefully observed the ring picked by the Corpse Wizard King, his body shivered. The ring had just a single dragon’s head, but its material and size were nearly the same as the Nine-Dragon Divine Ring picked by him in the castle at the seabed. Even the decorative designs atop the rings were slightly similar.
One, two, and three rings!
The Corpse Wizard King was quite excited because he had a chance to get a precious High-Level Deity’s Godhead, and this was why he worked hard. He quickly commanded the beauty of Sala and others and found fifteen similar rings. Their size and patterns were the same, but the number of dragon’s heads carved on them was different. The lowest number was one, and the highest was five. It seemed like those fifteen experts belonged to the same great faction or great family, and those rings were their identity’s symbol.
“Solomon, oh my God! Those people are experts of Solomon Divine Branch.” After the Chief Elven Priestess took a ring and observed it, she cried out again in alarm.
The strange dragon’s heads carved on the rings quickly attracted the crowd’s attention, but the attentive Chief Elven Priestess noticed a lion’s design at the side of a ring, and she still noticed several faint ancient characters, ‘Solomon’.
None probably heard about Solomon Divine Branch in Tailun Continent, but it was quite famous in other planes, and it was one of the few great factions that could contend against the City Amongst the Clouds. Its main camp was in the Chaos Plane, but it still held great power in the Death, Force, Nature, and other Main Planes, while innumerable Materialistic Planes’ factions were affiliated to it.
The Chief Elven Priestess didn’t ever visit the Chaos Plane, and she also didn’t go into other Materialistic Planes. She had heard long ago Mr. Raymond talking about the Great Planes’ factions. At that time, he emphasized Solomon Divine Branch that used a lion’s picture as its coat of arms and he instructed the Chief Elven Priestess, Sword God, and others not to have a conflict with it.
Could it be that the husky man in black armor met by them previously in the castle at the seabed was an apex expert of Solomon Divine Branch?
Yang Ling’s heart shivered. The higher the number of dragon’s heads carved on the ring, the more intense the Energy Ripples contained in the Godheads left by the experts corresponding to the rings. Just the owner of a ring with a single dragon’s head possessed an apex High-Level Deity’s power, while the ring left behind by the husky man in black armor within the castle at the seabed had nine dragon’s heads carved in it. The great power and status of the man during his life were really unimaginable!
