As soon as Astoria said those words, Jade and Macy's interest were piqued and she smiled at how great her informative powers was.
"Yes, as you can see, in times past, our parents, the previous coy climbers had willed for Minerva to marry to make the alliance of the kingdom stronger. Out of all the house's present today, the House of KaraKhan was the strongest but after they died and Xander took the throne, he was more to himself and later, we heard that he got you. And to make matters worse, he dated you."
"Okay."
"Yeah," she ignored the obvious frown on Jade's face and continued with her discussion. "Not only that, (e found out you were his fated mate. So naturally, he would not remain with her. The mate bond overrules all other magic or bond. You have bonded to him and he, you, Jade."
Jade could no longer speak. Not because she did not understand, but because this issue had begun to open her eyes and brain to so many other things.
If she had not known better, she would ha e likened his family situation to the same with other rich families of those days who does marriage as an alliance for power, wealth and businesses.
"No wonder. It explains her actions," Macy nodded.
"Yes. She is jealous because every girl loves Xander. Technically not ever girl but still. He was supposed to be her betrothed but you ruined it all. So ignore her. Once he sees you are no pushover and your love is strong, she would behave. Besides, there is only a matter of time that Xander can tolerate such things."
"Hmm.." she looked so deep and lost in thoughts that Astoria could tell why she was thinking.
The longer she waisted time, the more eager another woman was to steal her mate away from her.
"So also think about the suffering he is going through, sexually, mentally and the likes. Sometimes it ain't always about us but those we love to suffer as well."
"Fine. I have heard you all. But I still need time."
"No worries. I guess I speak for Lord Xander when I say this. He can wait. He has waited before, he would again."
"Yes, Astoria so please do not let him know. All of you, inclusive."
"Sure."
By this time, they arrived in front of one of the doors along that passage and Astoria smiled. "Well, this is my cue. My humble, yet not so humble abode, my lady. I would take my leave."
"Wait." Jade took some steps towards Astoria and looked at the door she was holding onto its handle.
"What is it?"
"Umm," she looked around, then brought her ga back to Astoria. "I thought you all would be sleeping upstairs on the last floor with Xander."
Astoria could define her confusion and where it stormed from so she smiled, tsking away at Jade. "Naughty. Look around, our names are on our doors. It is already a privilege to stay in hos noise as we want," Astoria explained.
"Okay, but who is staying in those four rooms opposite of Xander's?" As she said this, she looked around, trying to confirm if anyone was missing but all the council members had their room on that floor.
"Wait. Hold up. You mean to say that you do not know?" That was it. Astoria was more shocked than she ever was.
"No, I do not. I know he said that the bigger full room on the opposite side, belonged to himself and his wife and that he had made such preparations for quite a while now."
"Years actually," Jenny cut in. "I figured since we are laying truth's out, we can just specify."
"Yeah, he mentioned."
"Great."
"But," she looked at both ladies. "Xander never told me who those rooms are for."
"Since he didn't, I bet you never asked or you just weren't interested."
"Just tell me already," Jade hurried them.
"Fine. Presly like your mate. Those rooms were made for four people. Well, future. They belong to the future children, his majesty wishes to have with his mate which in this context is you."
"WHAT?"
"True. This is the truth, Jade. I thought he mentioned it to you?" She shook her at her. At this rate, all Astoria wished to do was facepalm herself to sleep. "Sigh. Naughty Xander. He knows better than to hide that fact from you."
"I never even knew about this house until hours ago after the attack," Jade added.
"Well, what can you do or say? Anyways, all I can say is that he is actually in so much love with you. I have never seen a dragon in love like this. He has gone against everything just for you. Making you his queen. Okay, I know the future. Babe just tries and relax okay. You cannot leave him. You two would both lose."
"I have heard you, Astoria. Thanks."
"Good. Now, I need to get to bed. Have a response ready soon. He would be needed, it. I want my Dragon Lord to be at his best when we fight this battle. Tomorrow evening there would be a meeting. Avail yourselves, girls,"
shocking them, she clicked on her door and pushed it open.
"Remember, the whole top floor belongs to you two and your families," Astoria reminded her.
"Sure and thanks for today."
"Anytime, my lady." She waved at them and walked into her room, leaving the three behind.
"Well, we are all in our zone, Jade. You should probably get to him or something," Jenny advised.
"Yeah, I guess so. I left him this afternoon is not a very good condition."
"Then you have your work cut out for you," Jenny remarked. Her lips spilt back in a loving smile.
"Thanks, sure. My regards to Sky and Jay, you guys."
With that Jade turned around and walked away, leaving the two girls to return to their respective rooms.
This was the first time in a long while that Jade felt so okay and so sure about things. Yes, she still had her fears but she was willing now to take this with another big step.
"Alright, Xander.. It is time to apologize to you for my actions and see what more we can talk about."
