Jay stood in front of her with a charming smile displayed on his face and a bouquet of silver looking flowers in his hands.
Macy frowned upon seeing him as the memory of what they had done at the hospital flashed back in her mind.
At first, she eyed the handsome looking guy from head to toe before her gaze shifted to the side and the flowers in his hands.
After lingering on the beautiful flowers for quite some time, she averted her gaze back to his. The words that fell out of her mouth was one he did not think would be her reaction to his gesture.
"You!"
"Me?"
"Yes, you," Macy called out again.
"Hi," Jay's smile widened as he looked at her with mesmerizing eyes.
"Yes? Can I help you and your flowers?" Macy asked him. Even though the flowers were cute, they were not her kind of flowers as silver wasn't a colour she fancied.
Silver was Jade as it was remarkable with her hair and her mother's and not her.
At the mention of flowers, Jay's eyes left hers and went to land on the flowers he was holding. That was when realization had struck him.
He was to go and deliver the flowers to Jade first before he came to visit Macy. Lamentably, he had got his mind too occupied with thoughts of Macy that he actually went to her own residence instead of Jade's.
'Damn I am going to be dead in his hands!' Jay lamented in his mind.
Rather than saying something to Macy, he panicked when she shot him a questioning disapproving gaze and ran with the flowers in his hands.
Macy's brows furrowed tighter, forming a deep V at the space between her brows as she watched his silhouette fade in the distance.
"Hey, I forgot to ask him his name or that of his friend." She facepalmed herself at her forgetfulness and entered her apartment.
Once she was inside, she rested her back against the door frame and facepalmed herself again. "How could you forget that? But it wasnt my fault. If he hadn't fled so quickly, then perhaps I would have gotten the chance to ask at least."
She turned her head to the side. There was a wall mirror at the side of the wall and when she looked at her reflection, she facepalmed herself for the third time that day.
"No wonder he ran, Macy. You looked scary with the look on your face. Sigh, still isn't he a man. Tsk, he is not worth it if he runs. What kind of man show up in front of a lady's house with a bouquet of silver flowers? If he doesn't know her likes, try going for a common rose at least. Hmph!"
Ignoring the melodrama that just happened outside her door, Macy went to her now cold lunch.
*FLASHBACK ENDS*
To say that Xander was speechless, stunned, perplexed, name it. It was an understatement.
He could not believe his friend was so much into a girl that he could actually mix up the message he was sent like that. It was a simple message, yet he almost messed it up.
"Jay," Xander started to say then suddenly paused. Jay shifted in his seat so that he could look at Xander well.
That was when noticed that his friend had his phone flashlight on down. The look in his eyes showed utter shock then suddenly it was replaced by anger.
"Xander!" He knew what his friend had done. He had been recording him the whole time. How could he still do that to him after putting him through that kind of ordeal before?
"Relax. You looked too good to pass away this opportunity." Xander let out a peal of hearty laughter before putting on a stern look. "And later you guys would say I am changing because of a girl. Compare to me, you are worse, Jay. How can a girl who you know nothing about completely take away your senses."
"Xander kindly do not start. Because of you, I could not go back to visit her."
"Obviously. Oh, and for the record, she disliked your flowers." Jay added.
"Huh, who? My Tigress or her friend?"
"Her friend of course."
"Well, the flowers were not hers in the first place. Of course, she would dislike it," Xander quickly countered him.
"Hmm, show off. Surprisingly though, your tigress looked like she adored it. Hmm, same weird taste as you. You two are meant for each other."
"And you and are friend are not. Let it go."
"No way. You take your own advice, Xander and let her go."
"Not another words from you!" Xander's tone of voice suddenly changed, making the already sensitive Jay tremble in fear.
"I think I should call Sky and inform him. He would be thrilled to watch this video." Xander's smile flashed brightly as he did what he said.
