"Calm down." Jay persuaded her. He knew how she felt but he also knew that if she does not become true to herself, it would affect her in the future.
He had liked Jenny when they were younger and lost to Sky but he never let his jealousy and anger take over and now all three of them are great friends.
He does not feel anything of such when he looks at them again so he was a living testimony that she would come out of this hurt and scale through.
Although he knew the way he handled his wasn't the right way as he turned into womanizing but he was too hurt to want to love anyone again and just had flings here and there.
From his experience, he knew that wasn't life as he admired what Sky and Jenny had. Well they all did admire it, even Xander who was thought off as cold and incapable of loving someone.
It was the kind of thing their kind dreamed and wished for but it was rare and sacred.
"Jay, try and understand me. I am not ready for this."
"Honestly speaking, Macy. You would never be prepared for this. Your mind would always beat fast when you see him near and a certain pain would stab at your chest when that happens but the more you face it head on, the more your heart begins to accept it as well that he isn't meant for you and in time it would help you heal."
"What if I never do?"
"Take it from me, you will. At least bringing you here and your refusal to see her is proof enough that you have just been evading your problem and not facing it head on and if you do not face it, that is when you would not be able to heal."
"Okay."
"Do you trust me?" Jay asked, pulling her closer to the bar.
At first Macy closed her eyes and took in his words before responding to his question. "Yes I do."
Hearing her voice it out was like music to his ears and with a smile on his face, he replied her. "Good. Then trust that you would get through this."
Macy nodded her head at him, accepting his words in hope and sincerity. "One question though," Macy drew his attention as he placed their order to the bartender.
"Ask away."
"How come you are so sure about this? Have you been hurt before?" Macy could not help asking him this even though it was personal.
She had not counted him as one who could be so serious about something such as this until her heart break and then she became close to him.
He was very different from what he portrayed himself to be and once one got to know him, they would see that he was so lovely and kind. His only woe was his womanizing that on a closer look wasn't as much.
Most of the time he liked walking with them and going out with fine girls just for the fun of it and not all of them ended up with him spewing his seed in them.
Some were just drinking company and some for massage. Only a few he let his dick go into and that was when he was so needy.
But being thought of as a play boy was what gave him joy as he enjoyed how much the ladies threw themselves on him even though he was the least handsome amongst the three friends.
He made up for that with his fun side as the other two were as cold as ever with Xander being the worst.
Jay let out a peal of a hearty laughter then narrowed his eyes at her before poking her nose. She looked so cute as her curiosity was brought out of her.
"You'd be so shocked."
"Tell me. I want to hear all about it."
"Well, if you promise that you would meet Jenny, then yeah."
Being the curious chicken that she was, Macy agreed just so she could listen to the playboy's own tale of love and heartbreak. "I promise."
"Good. Now have a seat." He tapped on the bar stool and both of them took their seats as their order arrived. "Thanks." He thanked the bartender before fixing his gaze on her.
"Here we go then. I was still quite young though when my heart started beating wildly because of a certain girl but I was too much of a chicken to confess to her. Eventually another guy confessed to her first and she accepted his love."
"And then? Wait, do not tell me you gave up just like that?"
"No, I wanted to try and win her heart and on the day I was going to confess to her, I heard her proclaim her love for him as well."
"Still, you should have fought to win her heart. You were young, it could have been infatuation and she may have confessed just because the other guy confessed too and not really love him."
Macy could simply not accept it. The playboy prince accepted defeat just like that and let go of his first love. It was obvious that he loved her for him to let her go and refuse to love any other person again till now.
"No, they loved each other, Macy and ass you grow older, you just know there are some things you cannot change." She was confused by his statement and could not understand it.
"If you love a person and they love someone else, you let them go. Their happiness should matter to you most and if it is for someone that is not you, why fight for it. You let them go."
"I still do not totally agree with you."
"Let it be, Macy. It had already happened and I am happy nonetheless."
"That is weird." Rather than feel annoyed, Jay smiled at her, raised his wine to her and then gulped it down in one go.
No matter if she agreed or not, there were things she just could not change but to accept it and his case was one she just had to accept. He had resigned his fate to his first love taken away from him, just who was she to change that.
At the end of it all, she decided to follow in his footstep and drink her heart away.
Just as she was having her second glass, she heard a squeal from behind her.
"Ahhh!! Jayy!!"
Subconsciously she rolled her eyes before turning her head to see who it was that wanted to destroy her eardrums alongside the jiving music that was playing.
When her eyes locked in on the sexy girl in shining red heels and a matching red strapless gown, Macy had her jaw drop.
'Bloody hell!'
She knew that she was sexy but never did she think she was this sexy. Standing right in front them with both hands raised up in the air was none other than Jenny the rich heiress of the club.
"Hey Jen," Jay leisurely called out her name as he placed his glass down and stood up to hug her. He knew those hands would not come down until he did that and so he did fulfill her unspoken wish.
"Hiiii. You just could not inform me you were around, Jay!"
"Why bother when I know your eyes never leave the bar from your screen? I knew you would find out and I wanted it to be that way."
"Such a kill joy." She playfully smacked him on the arm and immediately laughed. "Regardless, I loved it. I just couldn't wait to rush here and smack you."
"Too bad I am not him, I know it would have been some ass spanking." Both of them laughed at his joke before they calmed down and behaved like civilized individuals.
"Now which lucky girl gets to entertain you to night?" She asked because she knew he never went to drink alone a and she was much too eager when she saw him on the CCTV that she did not wait to see which girl he was with.
"Well things changed. This time I am here to entertain a damsel."
"Oooo." Both of them turned their head to the side to look at the damsel he was speaking about.
At the same time, Macy who had been sidelines by the two looked up and her eyes met with Jenny's.
"Oh my! Macy!!" She squealed again at the sight of the girl she admired.
And this time Macy had to actually block her ears with her hands.
"Oh my gee!! Why didn't you say sooner that it was Macy?" Jenny turned to look at Jay and scolded him before moving forward to envelope Macy in a tight hug.
Macy was shocked by the sudden hug and do not know how to react but after some time, she smiled and wrapped her arm around the happy young lady.
