Did he open the portal? No wonder the things around seemed more like a fantasy than...
Wait.
“Xan, my eyes, my senses were heightened somewhat and...”
Cutting in, Xander explained, “That my love is you being a part of my kingdom and realm.”
Sensing her confusion, he continued and this time simplified further. “You have had a portion of me. You are no longer just you. I believe that is why you felt things.”
“A portion of you,” she worded back thoughtfully. “Wait, you mean your sperm?”
.....
Xander felt like face-palming himself. Did she wish for him to be so raw and open with her?
Since that was what she wanted, he decided to give it to her.
A devilish grin plastered on his face, sending chills running down her spine.
“No.” Jade took several steps back. He was dangerously sexy when he did such a thing.
Just now when she kissed him, she sensed the mate bond about to kick in and now...
“Please don’t.”
“Don’t what, love?”
“Don’t tempt me and then leave me hanging,” Jade pleaded.
“Hahhaa. You wondered if I had put a portion of myself in you. So yes, love. My DNA is in you. Although not through your sweet p*ssy but definitely in you when you blew me.”
She gulped visibly. He was pushing his luck.
Either that or she was the one who had gone naughty.
“I still recall the feeling of having your tongue twirl over him, the deep sucking pressure you...”
“Save it. I think you know how Xyler is when I get horny. Do not tempt me.”
She turned around sharply and crossed her hands in front of her chest.
“Naughty CEO.”
“I heard that,” Xander tsked from behind her.
She smacked her forehead. She had forgotten her mind wasn’t her own any more thanks to the mind link through the mate bond.
“I love you.” He hugged her from behind, pressing his body into hers. “Come, let us go back. Another day, I would take you there once more.”
“Promise?”
“Promise. You will be queen soon enough, so yes. You will have full access, my love. Now do not be scared, I am here. I am sure it was Drakenhold that was calling you, somehow.”
Jade nodded in understanding and allowed him to hug her from behind for a while before they returned to the mansion.
******
Seated in the semi-dark room thanks to the coloured lights that danced about in the living room, a huge man had his fingers on the cigarette in his mouth with his gaze fixed on the man seated across him.
Thanks to his black shade, his eyes were covered leaving his nose and lips to the curious eyes of those present.
Several people were seen in different corners of the very big room engaging in one business or the other.
Zale’s nose scrunched up and scoffed out a small laugh.
He was being accessed by someone his father could have plotted to get rid of.
“Why are you staring? Or do you not believe me when I say my name is Zale Anders?”
“Not really.”
“Meaning u am right after all.” Zale’s mischievous smile did not go unnoticed by the man who could tear him down.
“Tch.”
Loud footsteps could be heard approaching as a man completely suited in all black walked over to him and lowered his lips close to the man’s ear.
Zale watched with interest till they were done with their discussion.
“So? Did you get your clarifications?” Zale poked with his words.
“Yes. Now, what do you want from me?”
Although his words looked okay, to say the least, the anger in those eyes of his, told Zale he would have to work to get on his good side before he could think of asking for help.
“I know this may sound tough but, I wish to seek your help under the guise of the favour you owe my father.”
He gritted. It was like a bad memory was formed in his head the second he heard the word favours.
“Zain Anders. Your father wasn’t particularly generous when it came to favours. How come he is willing to give you the favour that I owe him?”
“First, I am his son. Secondly, I need it for him to repay his sworn enemy, Mr C.C.”
“What is this favour if I may ask and why in heaven’s name did he not come to get it or is it a situation of he is sick?”
“No.” Zale exhaled sharply. He was sceptical about whether to reveal the truth of his father’s death or not.
After careful deliberation, he knew sooner or later, the truth would be out. It was best not to deceive the man and end up on his bad side.
Should that happen, he would not have a strong backing to take down Xander Warna.
“He’s dead.”
The air seemed to stand still as everyone froze when they heard the news.
“How can it be?” The man asked, completely shocked by the news.
Zain Anders, the troubler of the troubler. He was ruthless in his dealings. Fearsome and cunny. Those who knew him knew it was best to get out of his air lest he came for you.
“The rat finally kicked the bucket.” Zain snarled at him.
“He is my father. Show some respect.”
“I will but he earned himself that name with how sneaky he was, don’t you think?”
“Think what you may.”
“Aye. I shall.”
‘Fine.”
“Great then.” C.C exhaled and when his eyes landed on Zale once more, they softened actually.
“My condolences for your loss. Tell me, how do I repay Zain Anders? I bet it would be easier than when he was alive and the one collecting such debt.”
“I cannot say if I should be happy for you or sad, however, I need your help with a common enemy.”
He narrowed his gaze at Zale and watched the young man shift out of his seat.
“The man who stole an eye from you.”
C. C. was triggered hearing this. He growled loudly as he leaned forward and settled his elbows on his leg.
“Speak.”
Zale took out his phone, tapped a few times on the screen, navigated his way to his gallery and in no time turned the screen of the phone towards the big man.
“I need to kill Xander Warna and his precious newly engaged.”
