Chapter 9: Ch 9 – Yumiko’s alibi

"Klancy was in Yumiko's room. He scanned through the room with his eyes before bringing out his recorder and starting it."

"Start from the top. The day of the murder" said Klancy.  

"10 AM- After breakfast I read a book in the library for the next two hours." 

12 PM- I went to the bathroom. Then exited to meet Jude. He told me that anticipated guests have arrived.

13 PM- I went into the kitchen to make spaghetti with Jude. Marian entered the kitchen. She told us that Tenma was not eating dinner because he was gonna fast that day. Marian left. Mew entered the kitchen, got out.

14 PM- Succi entered the kitchen. We quickly made a salad for him and after getting his salad, Succi left. We were finished with the spaghetti.

Then Jude and I realized that a knife was missing from the kitchen set.

We just assumed that we dropped the knife somewhere while cooking so we didn’t think much of it. We tasted the spaghetti, drank the tea ourselves and carried and placed them on the table of the dining hall. Succi was in the dining hall.

15 PM- Marian entered the dining hall and asked me to come with her. I did so. I hung out with her for a while.

Then we separated and I went into the kitchen to clean some of the plates there by myself.

16 PM- I went back to the dining hall to set the table. Jude came to help me."

17 PM- Mew and Hori entered the dining hall. We told them to quickly gather everyone for dinner.

Jude and I waited in the dining hall. Soon everyone came."

18 PM- Jude realized that he left the house member’s personal cups in the kitchen and ran. I followed him. When he and I entered the kitchen Marian was there.

I gave Jude the cups I found while he washed it. After he finished washing them I cleaned them all with a towel.

Jude and I grabbed the cups and got out while Marian followed us. We brought those onto the table and sat down.

After dinner, Jude and I took all the plates, pots away to the kitchen. Reiner entered the kitchen looking for food to eat.

We realized Reiner was left out of the dinner and gave him the leftover spaghetti and he drank some tea. Marian entered the kitchen and personally thanked us for the meal then left."

19 PM- Jude told me to get a rest. I took his word, went into my own room and locked it’s door and relaxed on the bed.

20 PM- Someone knocked on my door. I opened the door to bump into Joseph."

"When exactly at 20 that this happened?" asked Klancy with a stern look.  

"Umm, actually, I don't remember. It could be 20:30. I'm sorry for my bad memory." said Yumiko bashfully.  

 "Ehh, proceed." said Klancy with a sigh.  

"Joseph said he needed the guest room to be open so he could pack up the things he had placed there before. I went with him and opened the guest room door with my key. As expected, no one was inside it. There was a giant carton box that was placed there to help Joseph carry his stuff. The box was empty."

21 PM- I went back into my own room and locked the door to sleep."

00 AM- A violent knock was heard on my door. When I opened it. Reiner said that Tenma has been killed. I quickly put my clothes on and headed out. That's about it for my alibi"

"Okay, thank you for your cooperation. We'll ask you if something is needed" said Klancy.  

"Yes" said Yumiko.
