“Yeah, sure. I will prepare the item tomorrow. Let’s meet in this place again.”

“Un! See you tomorrow!”

I left the café after hanging out with Aru for a while. The sky had turned orange before I knew it, even though I had visited the café in the morning. Time flew so fast when I had fun with my friend.

Titan also looked satisfied as it rubbed its belly as I walked down the road of Akihabara with my earphone, which had the lights turned on one after the other, making it like a glowing city.

“I praise you, Asa. I will allow you to take me to that place again.” It said, putting its paw on my cheek.

“As you wish, my King. We will return to that place tomorrow.”

“Umu! You’re not as clueless as you seem. Your friend is also okay. I will allow her to pet me for a minute tomorrow. Her treats were delicious. You have a good friend.”

Ah, Aru managed to tame Titan. So there goes my blackmail material. So I thought as I chuckled gently at our little skit.

I nodded as I put another Takoyaki, the last one, into my mouth and threw the trash in the trash bin beside the bench. This was weird, alright.

Shinjuku was one of the biggest wards in Tokyo. Its train station was the busiest one in the whole world. The number of people walking around was maybe also the biggest one in Japan. Even Shibuya had one Teleportation Waypoint. I could feel its small flow of Mana from my home.

But how could there be no Teleportation Waypoint in this big and busiest Ward? What if a Beast suddenly appeared in this area? Wouldn’t the Magical Girl couldn’t arrive in time in that case?

There must be something that happened to the Teleportation Waypoint in this Ward. Thankfully, I was here. Magiya Blaze should pay me for this charity work later. I would catch her for sure.

Licking my lips, I put on my mask and stood up, carrying Titan to my shoulder.

“Where is the location of the Teleportation Waypoint that you remember?”

“That way.”

“Alright.”

I quickly ran in the direction that Titan pointed, ignoring the pedestrians. While doing so, I put my left hand on my necklace, ready to transform back to Arsy anytime. As I said, I didn’t really mind being seen by people while transforming. Rather, I wanted to be seen.

But I didn’t know the situation, so I preferred to move as a normal human. The location that Titan pointed to was unexpectedly a tall building that looked like an apartment, 3 minutes away from my previous location. It was located in a desolate area of Shinjuku.

When I arrived, I noticed that there were only a few people around there, two to be exact. The streets were also not appropriately lit.

“Titan, is… is this…” I asked Titan with a cracked voice as I pointed at the apartment. No, what looked like an apartment in front of me. “This is the correct place?”

“Yes, I believe this is the place.” Titan nodded.

“Then… why?” I couldn’t really believe it. It was too different from the Teleportation Waypoint that I visited in Minato Ward. “Why the hell is this place ruined?”

The apartment was ruined. There were even police lines around the rubbles to keep people away.

Unfortunately, Titan wasn’t omniscient. It shook its head at my question.

“I don’t know.”

It jumped down on my shoulder and looked around the rubble for a while before turning around.

“Asa, I don’t think I can accompany you tonight. I need to stop by Raylight first.” It said seriously. It must be related to this ruined Teleportation Waypoint.

I wasn’t a fool either. I could feel a lingering Mana around the destroyed apartment now that I was close. The apartment wasn’t ruined by chance or an earthquake. Someone or a Beast destroyed it with Mana.

“Yeah. Feel free to. It seems that I will not be able to sleep tonight too.” I answered Titan.

If it visited Raylight, the Magical School, I guess it wanted to talk with that woman that it met on the roof. I didn’t know who that woman was, but she surely knew Titan in some way.

I could leave that thing to Titan because I also had an appointment.

“Don’t go too far. Tell her to be careful too.” Titan jumped away as it said that, disappearing into the rubble. I guess it wanted to find the Teleportation Magic Circle.

With its small body, Titan could surely fit among the rubble. I didn’t think I should worry about it.

With that, Titan and I parted ways. I walked away in a certain direction because I was finally able to feel it. The familiar warm Mana that I tried to find tonight.
