Chapter 19: Chapter 19 – Attack on Hydro City

I went back to the sky and took out my chair again. I sat on the floating chair while pulling out my favorite snack, Takoyaki which I put inside my inventory when I was walking around the city.

My inventory freezes the time, so the Takoyaki was still piping hot as if it was freshly cooked. I looked at the distance where the Evil Magical Girl was walking and saw the Beast that followed her had increased.

A bit distance away from the Evil Magical Girl, I saw Zayats was throwing Garmr and the other Beast that looked like Garmr but had smaller built to the direction of the Evil Magical Girl.

She noticed my gaze and looked at me while waving her left hand. The beasts that followed the Evil Magical Girl were enough, so I raised my right hand and called Zayats over. She immediately kicked the ground and fly toward me while ignoring the gaze of the Evil Magical Girl that was confused by Zayats’s behavior.

The Evil Magical Girl had reached a distance that could be seen from Hydro City, and as such, she noticed my presence too. She looked at me while narrowing her eyes.

Zayats arrived by my side in less than 5 seconds, and I replied to the Evil Magical Girl glare with a smug smile as I rested my head on my right hand. My left hand was busy holding the Takoyaki’s box, so I can’t make a careless move that may be causing the box to drop from my hand.

The Evil Magical Girl seems to misunderstand my smile as she smiled back at me and nodded her head in appreciation. I was irritated by her slow movement, so I asked Zayats to help her collect the beast faster. But it seems she misunderstood my intention and thought that I was helping her attack the city.

Nah, it will be interesting so I don’t care.

“Good job, Zayats.” I praised Zayats as I stabbed one of the Takoyaki with my left hand and raised it near Zayats’s mouth.

Zayats eyes glistened in happiness and she chomped the Takoyaki that I presented for her in one bite.

“Hmm~” She ate the Takoyaki with a smile on her face as she put her hands on her cheeks.

“It’s delicious, thank you, Master!” Said Zayats to me with a big smile on her face.

I turned away from her and saw the Evil Magical Girl had reached the barrier of Hydro City. She chose to attack the left side of the city where the market was located. It’s a shame that I won’t be able to get a Takoyaki from this city again.

“Master, that Evil Magical Girl was someone that was turned into one just a few days ago. I don’t think she will be able to destroy this city with 2 Magical Girls protecting it.”

Zayats looked at the Evil Magical Girl who started her attack by commanding the Beasts to destroy the barrier with a skeptical look.

I looked at Zayats and shooks my head a little, causing Zayats’s expression to drop into a sad one.

“This one never expected that you had such a low deduction skill, Zayats. Indeed, fighting 2 Magical Girls at once is putting that Evil Girl at disadvantage, but don’t you see the army that she brought?”

“Those beasts? Aren’t they the weakest of the weak? They are weaker than the monkeys in the mountain that I resided.” Answered Zayats with a lower voice that seemed sad because of my words.

Ah, that was my fault. I tend to forget that Zayats seldom left her mountain. So she didn’t know the average strength of the Magical Girl in these places.

“Ah, This one had made a mistake. You see, Zayats. One of that Magical Girl just turned into one 3 days ago. While she had the strength to kill those beasts, she had no skill to back her strength. She will need to fight harder than usual to kill those beasts, and I doubt she will be able to defeat even one beast because of fear.”

Right, Vega was just a normal girl. Her personality was that from the world filled with peace. Meanwhile, I was experienced in the game and I was calm because right now my personality has been fully merged with Zmeya.

“So that’s how it is. I thought every Magical Girl would be training in their mountain when they just turned into one! She’s so brave, to start her adventure in just 3 days after turning into Magical Girl.” Exclaimed Zayats.

The backstory of Zayats in the game wasn’t complete, so it was interesting hearing her telling her past. From what I summarized from her sentence, she was training in the mountain all this time until I met her and brought her with me.

I boasted to Zayats as I chomped the last Takoyaki in the box. Now that the attack had commenced, I was finally able to see the power of the Main Character which was named Amamiya Vega in this world. Strange name, but whatever.

Vega’s POV

I was looking dumbfounded as the Magical Girl with wavy green hair that called herself Zmeya left us.

When I was looking around The Center while guided by Magiya Emerald, the guard suddenly barged in and told Magiya Emerald that a Magical Girl who called herself Zmeya was at the entrance of The Center.

When she heard Zmeya’s name, Magiya Emerald turned serious and shouted to the guard to bring her there. She also told me to follow her, as this was the best chance to meet the one who called Zmeya which according to Magiya Emerald was an anomaly.

On our way, she told me that Zmeya was not a Magical Girl like us, she was neither from Good Side nor the Evil Side. She was an independent one, that was the declaration of Zmeya in her first appearance.

When we got outside, I saw a beautiful girl shorter than me looking at us with a smug smile on her face. Without even talking to her, I judged that this Zmeya was a haughty one.

Our conversation was a strange one, but I was surprised two times. First, she knew the meaning of my name in this world devoid of stars. Second, it was information.

“The enemy was coming to this city?” Asked Magiya Emerald that finally managed to recover herself from shock.

She looked at me with a serious expression.

“Magiya Raylight, I’m sorry but I need you to evacuate the civilians.” After she said that to me, she looked at the guard without waiting for my answer.

“Can you sound the alarm? This is an urgent situation.”

The guards nodded their heads without asking anything. At that moment, the barrier on top of us was shaking.

“She’s here?!” Exclaimed Magiya Emerald in surprise.

“Magiya Raylight! Can you fly?” Asked Magiya Emerald in a concerned tone as she looked at me.

I nodded my head and shouted, “Yes!”

Magiya Emerald replied with a nod and said, “Follow me! Help me in defeating the Evil Magical Girl!”

I never expected it, my first day in the city in another world resulted in a fight against the enemy of the world, the Evil Magical Girl.
