Chapter 28: Chapter 28 – A Giant

‘Although I said that I will even destroy the city to show Zayats how cool I am, that line was too embarrassing! As expected, I need to release my desire to not feel embarrassed about it.’

I still put a grin on my face, but inside, I felt embarrassed that I could die.

Over the edge of my sight, I can see Zayats looking at me with eyes full of admiration. She covered her mouth with her hands and muttered.

“Master… you are willing to go that far…”

‘No Zayats, I just said that in the heat of the moment!’

“Of course. I wanted to give you that Limit Breaker.” I looked at Zayats and touched her cheek.

Her hands moved away and allowed me to caress her cheek. Her face was burning red.

I leaned my face over and she obediently lowered her face to meet mine. My lips met with hers for a moment before I break away and looked straight at her face.

“So you can get stronger. I am counting on you, Zayats.”

‘So please stop! I will die of embarrassment if this goes on any longer!’ I literally screamed inside my head.

I just followed what I thought to be the best action for this moment, but as expected.

‘It’s still embarrassing! Even though I said I will accept all my personality, I can still get embarrassed!’

“Yes, Master!” Zayats said as tears began to build up over the edge of her eyes.

She wiped it with her hands, but her smile now was wonderful.

I nodded my head at her and focused my gaze towards the stage. I was trying to ignore Zayats because I had reached my limit.

The bid from other guests didn’t stop even a moment, and now the bid reached 500 thousand Deep Coins.

It was time to put the bid to the next level. I inputted my bid with the number and hit the button to show my bid on the screen of my room.

The announcer girl, Sona, noticed my bid. I can see her eyes widen even from this far. She raised both of her hands and shouted.

“VIP Room number 3 bid a Million Deep Coins! I will repeat it! VIP Room number three bid 1 Million Deep Coins! Is there anyone else who will bid! I will start the countdown if no one else bids higher than them!”

The murmur amongst the guests became louder. Some of them were looking at my room with disbelief. Some of them were looking at my room with a face that was looking at a fool. I don’t care. If I can get my hand on three Elixirs, a Million Deep Coins is a cheap price to pay.

“It seems no one bid higher than them! Let’s start the countdown! 3 … 2 … 1 … Sold!”

Sona swung her hammer to the ground.

Bam!

“The Magipot is sold to VIP Room number 3! Please talk to the receptionist to receive your item!”

After Sona announced that I got the Elixir, I walked back to the couch and sat down. My arms were on the couch's backrest and I crossed my legs.

“Kukuku, I got it.”

I let out an evil laugh, at least trying to let out an evil laugh. I was too happy to get the Elixirs with just a Million Deep Coins.

Zayats clapped her hands while still standing near the glass.

“Congratulation, Master! With this, you don’t need to destroy this city!”

Although I was just joking, it seems Zayats still took my words seriously.

“Yes, Master!”

Zayats walked to me and sat on my left. I circled my left hand around her shoulder and hugged her. She was soft, and she smelt good.

“Master…” I can hear Zayats muttered beside me. I glanced at her and saw her closing her eyes while smiling happily.

‘Is she that happy that I got the item? The Elixir will be turned into Limit Breaker for her, I guess that’s why she’s happy.’

The auction continued again. Sona took out the third, fourth, and then the fifth items. Some of the items were interesting. The guests bid on the item with a lot of energy. The VIP room which was totaled Five rooms excluding us also tried to get their hand on some item.

But, whenever the VIP made a bid, the prices went up uncontrollably. The guests in the normal seat can’t even fathom the rich of the VIP, so they were forced to give up on some items.

I was bored and lost interest in the auction because the item that I was waiting for never made its appearance on the stage.

That lasted until Sona shouted.

“Now, the last item of the auction! I present to you, a Magical Girl wand! This item will allow someone to turn into a Magical Girl! Our special guest put this item on Auction because he wanted to find someone worthy to held this wand’s power.”

The table that came out from below the stage was more luxurious compared to the previous items. It was adorned in gold. On top of the table, a white wand around 30cm in length was led gently on top of a red cushion.

A lot of white-colored magic circles surrounded the wand. I was surprised when I saw the wand. But at that moment, I realized the identity of the Special Guest.

“A Giant attended this auction, huh. A rare occurrence, indeed.” I put my right hand on my chin while my lips curved upward and my mouth opened, revealing my little fangs.

Giant, as a species that was able to control Magia freely, the strong one amongst them were able to disguise themselves as a human.

I know Spectral Auction House was spread all over the world. One thing that I had never expected was the special guest that the receptionist mentioned was a Giant.

Zayats who closed her eyes all this time moved in my arms and looked at me.

“Master, what would you do?”

Zayats asked me with a serious tone. Getting my hand on the wand will certainly lead me to meet the Giant. But I had no use of such a wand.

“Nothing. The item that I was waiting for didn’t make its appearance. We are leaving.”

I stood up from the couch and made my way to the door that led to the hallway. Zayats rubbed her eyes, stood up, and followed me right beside me.

When I was about to open the door, I felt a presence right in the hallway. If it was a normal human, then I won’t hesitate and open the door.

But, I felt Magia surrounding that presence. It stopped right outside my room.

While knowing exactly what was waiting for me, I opened the door with a smug smile on my face.

Right outside our VIP room, a man that stood 2 meters tall was looking at me. His mouth was curved down, he was wearing a white shirt under a black suit and black pants. His skin was white, and his hair was as black as the night sky in this world.

He was looking at me, bordering glaring because of our height difference. I glanced at Zayats and saw her frowning, expressing her displeasure through her gaze.

Because he didn’t say anything, I raised my right hand at him.

“Ya, what do you want with me, Mr. Giant?”
