"Yeah there's like no way..."

"Nope, I straight up refuse to believe it..."

"Hmmmm it doesn't seem like a dream though, no I'm definitely way too conscious for this to be a dream."

"Dang it, where could this be? I've never seen or heard of a place like this. Ok, think, what happened..."

"I was just going about my life, I was gonna buy some stuff at the store so I was walking there... Suddenly my head hurt so much I felt like I was gonna die and bam, I'm here..."

"The floor I was on is also here... It's literally a perfectly round cut out of the road I was on."

"I'm not on drugs, am I? No again my thoughts are too clear..."

"... Seriously? Another world would just be impossible... This has to be s-..."

She sees all of the creatures that were never seen on earth.

"..."

"No!"

"I won't believe it that easily! Being randomly transported to another world is just ridiculous!"

"How can that even happen? I mean there has to be some kind of explanation, right? Like, was I sent by some god to save the world? Is it all just a giant accident? It can't be one though, the probability of something like that happening on accident... It's zero! It's not even just low. It's literally zero!"

"..."

She calms down a little.

"This is just stupid..."

"Whatever, I won't have time to worry about it if I'm dead, so... I'll need to focus on surviving for now."

"Although I don't actually know anything about this place, for all I know even the laws of physics could be completely broken..."

"Wait, but if I was physically transported here, I wouldn't be able to exist if the fundamental forces were even a tiny bit different."

"The trees look almost the same as usual, but I've never seen these bugs."

"I should be careful, anything could potentially be able to kill me."

"Ok ok ok, stop wasting time, you're gonna need fire, food, water, weapons, tools and of course shelter."

"I still have my phone and wallet in my pocket so that might be useful at some point."

"I won't be using my phone though, since I have a limited battery. It won't be all that useful anyway."

"And in my wallet, there's a bunch of money... no, rather it's just a bunch of worthless metal discs and fancy pieces of paper."

"Keys... Right, I can sharpen the keys and turn them into knives. Metal knives will definitely be superior to some pointy rock."

"The cards... Don't see any worth in those right now, but I'll keep them."

"And for the wallet itself... Yeah no it's just a wallet for now."

"Enough with that. Let's start with finding an animal to observe, if animals live in this forest that is. That should get me some kind of information."

She tries to calm down more. She starts walking and is amazed by the forest, all of the plants and fungi that she has never seen before are right there just hanging around.

"Oh yeah, the cut out piece of the road... I should probably leave it there for later... not like I can just carry it anyway."

"..."

"It's highly improbable but... There could be intelligent life on this planet... Haha that'd be great, wouldn't it?"

She keeps looking around the forest, always walking in one direction to know what way to go if she decides to return.

After walking for a while she notices an unpleasant smell of a corpse.

She walks towards the source of the smell and starts hearing noises of an animal. She's hiding behind the trees and knows that it's very dangerous to be here. However, it's a great chance to analyse the behaviour of a potential threat.

"It kinda looks like a big brown wolf without a tail."

She decides to leave and go back to where she started.

"Maybe that place is special, since that's where I appeared."

"It could be some universe gateway."

While walking back she notices another animal. This time however it was eating berries from a bush instead of another animal.

She starts hiding and observing it again.

"Are those edible for me as well, or does that deer looking thing have some kind of immunity?"

The animal suddenly stops eating and starts walking away.

"Did it notice?..."

She starts quietly following it while still keeping a distance.

"What is that sound? A river?"

It indeed is a river. It's a river that the animal found to drink from. However she's too careless and it notices her, after jumping over the river it runs away deep into the forst.

"Dang it, it's fast. But a river is a great find."

She decides to follow the river upstream.

"I'm definitely going to need a spear now. Fish is always a good-"

"Ah, that's right... the fish here might be different."

Her excitement is decreasing.

"Well, they do look the same... and if I really can't eat anything here I can give up surviving entirely."

Would taking that risk really be the right choice? Humans are capable of surviving without food for weeks, which could give her more than enough time to find a better food source.

"Alrighty, I should make some stone tools to start things out."

She tries to find something flint-like to try flint knapping. It's her first time doing it so she's not expecting much. After getting a bunch of different types of stone she sits down and tries hitting them together.

"This might take a while."

She tries to figure out what type of stone to use as a hammer.

"Wow, this one really doesnt wanna break, huh?"

"Yeah, this is getting exciting."

She starts testing different rocks again. This time for what to use as the material.

"One with no grain is the best type, right?"

"Oh, this looks good but it might be too big... Actually, I might wanna make an axe. It's quite useful and should do a decent job as a weapon too."

"That said, I still don't know how to make it."

She has seen videos on flintknapping at some point and knows that it's pretty counterintuitive if you don't know anything about it. But she does... sort of, she knows that you need to hit a rock so that flakes break off, which makes it thinner and can also create more stone to work with.

"Well... I guess I'll try hitting it like this."

She hits the rather large piece with another rock at a small angle hoping to get a large flake to work with.

"Hmmm, no this isn't it."

She tried again and again with different angles, different forces and different sides, however always with no success.

"Dang it, I don't need these tiny crumbs. Ugh this won't go anywhere like this. How did all of the stone age people do this?"

She was infuriated by the failures and decided to give up for now.

"Well it makes sense, I've never done this before plus the rocks aren't exactly the right ones either."

She gets up and starts following the river while looking around for good materials or a potential place for shelter.

After a bit of walking she notices an interesting plant that has roots in the water and leaves in the air. Not only that but it seemed to be climbing up another tree.

"Oh... vines... I do need those for rope."

She walked up to the plant and started cutting it with a key.

"Might not be the best way, but that's all I can really do right now."

To her surprise after getting through a pretty tough bark she could rip the inside very easily.

"Huh... guess it's not all about the inside after all."

"It just maxed out armour and put nothing in its core..."

"Well, that should mean that this is good rope material... unless it becomes useless once it's dry."

She cut off more of these vines and noticed a small tree with very straight branches.

"Oh, that one would work great for a spear."

She gets to the tree and starts cutting the bark of the stick, however after getting through that bark she is unable to damage the wood.

"..."

"Okay, well, it makes sense... the key is not really a knife..."

"YET!"

She pulls out the rock she used as a hammer and searches for a bigger rock to serve as a platform.

"I don't know if it'll work but if i try to thin the key down and then sharpen it, it could be a fantastic knife."

Full of excitement she finds a similar rock that she is holding but 3 to 4 times bigger.

"Hehe, this is great, just great, simply the greatest great greatness has ever-... that... doesn't make sense."

She removes the key from the ring, places it atop of the large stone and smashes the other rock into it repeatedly.

"haaah... well... it... worked? I'm exhausted, but it looks good. All it needs now is a sharp edge and it's pretty much done."

She then takes the rock, wets it and starts rubbing the flat key against it at about a 10 degree angle. After doing that on both sides for some time she dries the key and looks at the blade.

"I'll need a handle later, but it should work just fine."

She took the newly sharpened knife and tried cutting the spear stick once more.

"Huh?... hold on, it's... even worse now?"

The blade was now getting stuck in the wood and refused to move.

"Of course! Now that it's thin and sharp it's not removing material but just wedging itself between it and getting stuck."

"Ah, dang it..."

"Well, that happens. I do have another key, but... it feels like a waste to make a saw out of it."

"I may just have to commit to making the axe."

She decides to try making the axe once more and sits down expecting to spend a long time on it. She then hits the previously selected rock with the hammer rock.

"Wooow, that felt much better."

"..."

"Huh?"

The rock broke in half and created a nice edge to serve as an axe.

"On the first try?"

She shakes her head in disbelief.

"I sat there for like an hour hitting rock and now I'm getting this on the first try?!"

She is enraged by the fact that she gave up earlier.

"Okaaaaay, moving on. How do I... do this..."

She checks different spots to chop it with the edged rock.

"Yeah, this has a comfortable hold. I might keep it without a handle."

She starts by cutting into the bark once more and removing a part of it with the knife. Then she takes the stone axe and hits it at 2 different angles, one only scraping the surface, the other straight on. That allows her to slowly carve out pieces of the stick to remove it from the tree and simultaneously shape it into a pointed stick. She succeeds.

"And it didn't take long at all."

She starts sharpening the stick to a spear.

"This knife isn't very sharp, I need to find a better stone... or technique to sharpen it with."

"Well, this should work for now."

She starts walking along the river. The plan is: observing the fish but still looking around for goodies.

She suddenly stops while looking at a mountain

"Smoke?...What?... Fire? Was it intended? Maybe that mountain is actually a volcano? No, if it was an active one, it would look completely different... so this might really be... an intelligent life form."
