PROLOGUE: AN UNFRIENDLY ENCOUNTER

 

In the morning, at an academy—

“Where the heck is the timetable?! Ugh!”

At the main lobby, flooring—polished marble tiles, arranged with maroon-leathered chesterfields, small glass table at each of its side, flowers—plants in shiny golden vase at each corner and pillar. Partial of the main lobby was the lounge, where a young man appeared to be alone sat on a sofa, agitated; checking on his phone.

Kizuki—kept scrolling the screen up and down, searching for the class timetable in folders within folders.

“Found it!”

‘Class 2-A, Ninth floor, Lecturer: Ayaka Taguchi’. Without further ado, he sprung up and hurried towards the elevators nearby the reception desk. Looks like it was almost time for the class to start.

“I should have saved the timetable earlier—in my pho— …Are you kidding me?!”

As he got there, in front of the elevators, it was very unlucky of him. The receptionist nearby approached him…

“Oh, I’m sorry. The elevators just broke down.”

“Whaaa—?! At this time?! You've got to be kidding me.”

“U-Umm, you could always use the stairs though.”

“………”

Kizuki left the receptionist without any further debate, rushed to his class on the ninth floor. Sprinting, racing up the stairs two at a time, passing through a bunch of girls that was walking up and down the stairs as if he was being chased by a pack of dogs.

“Excuse me!” he shouted, panting.

“KYAAAA—!”

“I’m sorry—!”

The pretty girls that he ran through, shrilled as their skirts blown up; exposing more of their thighs.

“S-S-Sorry—!”

Without taking the time to slow down his pace and apologize to those girls in proper manner, he continued to rush up the stairs before him.

Until—he was on a certain floor—

“AAAH—” *bump*

——

“Ouch, my head…”

Kizuki was on the floor lying face down, groaning while rubbing his forehead. He lifted his head and still continuously rubbing his forehead gently—

“…Th-This is—”

As Kizuki lifted his head, he saw a girl unconsciously lying on the ground before his eyes while his left arm pinned under the girl’s thigh which held his hand; positioned under the skirt.

Looks like he bumped into a girl just right at the landing of the stairs on sixth floor of the academy.

He tried to move his arm that was pinned down, the unconscious girl began to show sign of consciousness.

“N… mn….”

H-Hey, stop making weird noises!

“…I better get up now, or else I’ll be branded—”

Just before Kizuki could completely pulled out his pinned arm, someone—passed by the corridor towards the stairs.

A beautiful girl with a long, fiery red hair that reached slightly below her waist, adorned with ribbon on the right side. She had clear and bright red eyes, and a fair complexion. She donned a pair of fingerless-gloves. She also wore a choker around her neck. She fitted well in that outfit.

“…!”

“W-Wait—”

“P-P-P-PERVERT—!!!”

As she witnessed the obscene moment—she was startled and responded inarticulately.

Seems like Kizuki was unable to escape from this cliché; misunderstanding situation.

“N-No, it’s not—! I can explain this—”

“YOU P-PERVERTTTTTTT—!!!”

“It’s not what it looks like—! O-OW—OWOWOW!!”

The fiery red-haired girl, with her thick textbook in hand, charged towards Kizuki; beating him up—hitting his face and head several times, and quickly dragged the half-conscious girl away from him.

“G-Get away from her, you creep! Are you alright, Yuki-chan?!”

The well-endowed girl with icy blue eyes and blonde hair with twin-tailed hairstyle. Her gentle mien seen as a soft-hearted girl that wouldn't even hurt a fly. She wore bluish ribbons, also wore the same uniform as the fiery red-haired girl, began to gain her consciousness; slowly opening her eyes, as the concerned—worried fiery red-haired girl held her gently in her arms.

“What happened? Why are you lying on the ground?”

“…I’m alright—I-I think—I bumped into someone just now.” The blonde hair girl replied as she stood up.

Letting out a sigh of relief, the fiery red-haired girl helped the blonde-haired girl to stand.

Kizuki stood on his feet in affliction with bruises on his face and a lump on his head.

“…Ou-Ouch, ouch.”

“Hey, you—! What have you done to her?! You pervert!”

“O-Oi, watch your words! I’ve done nothing, okay?! It was just an accident—”

“How dare you committed an uncivilized action—you should bear the consequences!”

The fiery red-haired girl interjected Kizuki before he could vindicate the exact situation.

The tongue-lashing between them caught the attention of other students from the classrooms on that floor as well as passers-by on that floor, and also that were up-down the stairs. Distinct chatters started to circulate among them.

“A boy—?!”

“Fighting with Ishikawa-senpai—?”

“Isn’t that… the new transferred student that we all heard about—?”

“He’s handsome!”

“This is why our academy shouldn’t have boy…”

“Eek—! A perverted guy in this academy?!”

Ugh, all these kids.

Kizuki smacked his forehead with his hand, seemingly frustrated.

“Didn’t you hear me—?! It was just an accident. I was on my way up the stairs—accidentally ran into her. Calm down. Stop slurring me, hot-headed girl!”, declared Kizuki out loud on his innocence.

“H-H-Hot headed girl—?! I-I have a name, okay?!” The fiery red-haired girl returned a prim expression.

“That suits you well. Whatever, I’m heading to the class now.”

“H-Hey, wait! You can’t just leave—”

Without prolonging the argument, Kizuki in such condition—quite beaten up, walked off leaving the scene, towards the stairs, ignoring the berating fiery red-haired girl. As he was approaching the stairs—

Unexpectedly, his foot caught on a thick book that was on the floor which was left by the fiery red-haired girl earlier. He lost his balance—stumbled and fell heavily in front of the girl that he aliased as hot-headed girl.

“Sh*t! Ouch!”

“Tsk—You can’t even walk… proper…ly…?”

…Huh? Uh, this is—

A sudden intense overwhelmed the surrounding. Other girls started to develop negative thoughts towards Kizuki. Some of the girls seemed frighten, some of them showed disdainful grimace.

It looked like Kizuki had lifted his head shortly after he tripped. That was when—a light pink undies with sewn flowery patterns set on his gaze.

The fiery red-haired girl was in short silence before her furiously screams rebuking Kizuki’s indecent act; peeking on her undies.

 “Y-Y-Y-YOU IDIOT—PERVERT—!! Wi-With the power of south wind—send them fly—!”

“Wait, wait! Hold up!”

Bystanders saw swirls of wind emerging from the hot-headed girl’s palms knowing what was going to happen, ran into the classrooms for cover, but still pay heed to the turnout of event.

“O-OI—!”

The panicking hot-headed girl without hesitation, chanted runic-magic words for the Tier 2 White Magic spell, [Wind×Blow]. In the next moment, her hands were wrapped in a powerful wind that sent Kizuki flying across the corridor—out of the window that was flung open due to the strong wind.

“—AAAAAAHHH!!!”

“WHOAAA~!!”

“Naomi-senpai is something…”

“No doubt——‘A’ class student—”

“—I hope he’s okay.”

Kizuki was seen blown away; his scream faded as he was plunged towards the gravity. He landed awfully on a row of bushes below.

Just after Kizuki was blown away out of the campus from sixth floor, worried—the fiery red-haired girl and the blonde-haired girl, Yuki rushed toward the open window followed by few witnesses, where Kizuki had been thrown out. They were staring down below, but there was no movement at all.

“D-D-Did I killed him?!”

“H-how should I know.”

Yuki seemed baffled.

The fiery red-haired girl started to panic as there was no sign of movement at the spot where Kizuki had landed.
