It is a small and humble island on the Grand Line, named Asca Island.

The island's people are simple, kind, and hard-working and should have had a peaceful and relatively good life.

But in fact, this is not the case. Because of a rumor that has never been confirmed, the island has been visited by pirates almost endlessly but also brought the island's people a deep disaster.

The island's houses are linked together, which is a chance to defend against pirates who may come at any time. Still, if one takes a bird's eye view from above the island, one can find a tree house sitting alone in the forest, which is out of place with the overall atmosphere of the island.

At this point, several thin figures appeared below the tree, and they seemed to be unwilling to approach, but finally, a slightly older child gathered the courage to shout at the tree house:

"Alan, the High Priestess is looking for you!"

In the silence of the forest, there came the sound of walking. A handsome young man peeked out of the tree house, only to instantly, the young children under the house were scattered like birds and beasts, leaving only the sound of panic and horror wandering in the forest.

"Run! The monster is coming out!"

"He saw me, I'm finished, he must know about my stealing food from the beast!"

"You bastard, how dare you steal the meat from the beasts, it's too much...... not even call me for such things!"

Alan's young face is very calm. He seems to have long been accustomed to the fear and rejection of others, just looking towards the tree house would only let out: "Brother has to go out for a trip, be good at home again, please!"

A little girl peeking out of the room said sweetly, "Brother, Demi won't run away. Demi is the good girl!"

Alan calms down, closes the doors and windows, and leaps directly from the nearly ten-meter-high tree house.

Not long after, Alan has come to the temple in the village, and the high priestess on crutches has appeared in due course, looking old and rusty, with a long hair coat.

"Alan, I came to you this time because I have a big matter of life and death in the clan to ask for your help." The High Priestess said with a humbled look on her face.

"High Priestess, you must not say that. If there is anything, just command me directly." It wrote Alan's young face with a severe look.

A trace of hesitation flashed in the high priestess's eyes, but she soon remembered something, and her gaze was once again firm.

"This matter also begins thousands of years ago, Alan, you know the legend, the legend about the cursed holy sword."

"I know. I heard that pirates keep coming to the island because of this false legend." Although he does not know why the high priest would mention this, Alan still answers seriously.

"False? That is not just a rumor, but a real thing!"

"How...... is this possible?" It wrote Alan's young face with shock.

"It is said that thousands of years ago, there was a full red moon descending on our Asca Island. Our ancestors believed that the red moon, which represented blood and evil, would invite disaster and misfortune, so that red moon was also known as the Ominous Moon!"

"Unfortunately, in the long years of change, the Nanahoshi (Seven Star Sword) gradually tainted with darkness and ominous, which became a cursed holy sword, and the mission of our clan is to prevent the Nanahoshi from being used by those miscreants in the outside world, and also to prevent the Nanahoshi's darkness from invading the world."

Alan was unsure and waited for the high priestess's explanation.

"Every hundred years when the red moon falls, the power of the seal will be weakest, and it needs to be sealed again with the bloodline of the witch and the three jades. However, the next generation of witches has not yet grown up, and I had been too old, no one in the clan can complete the seal, once the Nanahoshi is released, the sea will be covered with darkness!"

"So, what you mean is......" Alan speaks in a low tone as if he has guessed what the high priestess means.

"Only by offering the most perfect sacrifice to God can the wrath of the gods be appeased and the seal of the Nanahoshi be reinforced again, and your gift...... can barely be said to be the Son of God!"

Alan was so kind that he was willing to give up his life for the sake of the villagers who rejected and feared him, but he couldn't die, and if he did, who would take care of his young sister?

Due to the invasion of pirates, the island's life has been tough. No one will be willing to put the burden of an extra mouth, but also because of this, the young Alan will reveal his value, only to seek rations belonging to his sister from the village.

Seems to see Alan's hesitation, the old voice of the high priestess came out: "You do not have to worry about Demi, as compensation, I have contacted a large noble couple who have no offspring, they are happy to adopt Demi, after you go, Demi will live better than everyone."

This statement certainly touched Alan's mind. Although he does not mind the strange eyes of others, he never wants Demi also have the same experience. He hopes Demi can live a great life of eating well and sleeping warm daily.

"High Priestess, I agree and promise you!"

"Good boy, it's just been hard on you!"

…..........…

The promise of the high priest was soon fulfilled, although Demi's heartbreaking cries made Alan stop in his footsteps for a time, but he finally ruthlessly left without looking back. Demi is still young. As long as a few years, perhaps she will be able to forget her incompetent brother and live a life that everyone dreams of it!

.........……

The scarlet moonlight is about to envelop the earth. Alan followed the footsteps of the high priestess and stepped into the temple, where everything around emanated a sense of mystical aura, as if from ancient times out of space.

At the bottom of the temple was placed a simple sarcophagus. The ground is drawn with the six-star formation with blood. Alan stood in the center of the six-star formation. The high priestess told Alan not to run around, then fled like a desperate one.

Although the surrounding environment is bloody and bizarre, Alan's mind is not afraid but curious to look around.

Suddenly, the deadly cold sound rang out in the dark room, as if a mockingbird in the forest singing happily, a little black mist leaked into the body from the skin pores, and a compelling voice rang out in Alan's mind.

"Go...... open the sarcophagus, pick up your holy sword, and you will have supreme power!"

Seeing that Alan was unmoved, the black mist kept increasing its chips.

"...... power, wealth, fame...... just pick up that sword and everything will follow!"

However, Alan only whispered, "Is this the test of the gods? It doesn't seem to be that hard?"

The trembling Nanahoshi stopped. It does not have full sentience, just like most cursed swords have a weak aura. Of course, its aura is undoubtedly by no means compared to the Sandai Kitetsu.

At this moment, if Nanahoshi possessed intelligence, it would undoubtedly be bizarre. How could someone have a pure mind and not have the slightest darkness?
