Chapter 29: Beast Tide?

Prowling through the snowy landscape of northern Ascania, she killed any stray monsters that crossed her path. She was on the hunt for the supposed beast tide, where a large amalgamation of monsters attempt to overrun human settlements.

Usually, this was caused by a higher-level monster who had a small amount of consciousness commanding them forward, to override the monster's natural instinct of survival, or it could be because an invasive group of monsters just out-compete every other monster in the area, forcing them to flee towards human settlements for food.

She hoped that it wasn't some man-made beast tide, though rare, it does happen sometimes. That one would implicate her in all sorts of conspiracies she didn't want to be in and generally make her life harder.

Her eyes spotted another bear-like monster, level 103, sneaking up on its prey from behind the bushes.
