In the pill pavallion, the disciples and the elders were sitting around Mason as he slowly recovered.

Once he came back to his senses, Mason immediately started to vomit the medicine he had taken out.

"Strange, could it be that the pill has a bad taste? But none of the test animals showed any reaction." One of the elders was busy noting down the observations.

"It's possible that he has some allergic reaction to the herbs."

"It could also be his cultivation. We really don't know much about how his body reacts."

"Was elder Shen notified?"

"Yes, he's on his way."

Elder Shen was busy figuring out the cause of the changes in Nasha's body. A disciple informed him about Mason. After gaining Sect Masters permission, he immediately returned back to the pill pavallion.

Mason had recovered by the time elder Shen arrived.

"What happened?" Elder Shen was concerned. He sat by Mason's side and asked.

"I don't know. It made me sick as soon as it entered my stomach."

"You are recovering pretty fast. It might have just been a reaction. Alright, rest for a little while. Nasha is also sick and could use your help."

"Nasha is sick?"

"Well she should recover soon. It looked like she had recovered a lot. The cultivation waste has triggered her hidden potential."

"So, she will soon be a cultivator? That's great."

"About the maid. I'm afraid you will be assigned a new one. Since she is soon to be a cultivator we can't let her stay in the servant quarters. Sorry."

"Well, that's alright. I don't need a maid."

"How do you feel? The pill is supposed to make you feel the elements around you."

"Nothing has changed. Maybe my senses are a little sharper."

"Alright then. Take a rest. If you feel uncomfortable make sure to let the pill pavilion know."

Elder Shen took a pouch from his belt and extended it to Mason.

"This is your compensation. Make sure you come back in two days so that  we can check up on you."

One of the disciples let Mason out and walked him back to his hut.

"If you feel anything wrong, crush this medallion and someone from the pill pavilion will come over to check up on you." The disciple gave a medallion to Mason and left.

'I wonder how Nasha is doing.'

At Nasha's room,

The girl slowly woke up. Seeing her father next to her, she couldn't stop crying.

"Father, I can finally cultivate."

"Don't be in a rush. There is stuff that we still need to figure out." He caressed her head gently. "Can you feel the energy around you?"

"It's low. But yes I can sense something new."

"Great. Now try and bring it closer to you."

Nasha struggled a little bit and was soon able to get a grasp of the process.

"Father, this feels great." As she kept manipulating the energy around her, some of it entered her body. Nasha's body started to flow.

"It looks like we underestimated your awoken body. You seem to have a high mana affinity. We need to test it to be sure. Let's go."

"Let me change."

At the testing area of supreme sect,

"Try and release all the power in your body." Sect master Supreme said looking at Nasha who kept fidgeting around the room nervously.

There was a small monitor in the room but it wasn't electronic. It was a plain wall with some rune etched to it. There was also a recording artefact in the room.

Nasha looked at the small absorption sphere and started to release the magic energy within her body.

The sphere lit up and some numbers rose on the monitor. After a few seconds, the number stabilised.

"Good, your strength is immense. As expected of my daughter."

"I feel drained, father." Nasha's face was slightly pale.

"Since this is a cultivation peak, the mana here is very low. Don't worry, the village has a higher mana density. You will be able to train there with ease."

"Are you asking me to leave the sect, father? I don't want to."

"All kids must leave their parent's protection one day. At least you are now capable of handling yourself. It's not that far. You can always visit me whenever you feel lonely. I'll send that kid along with you to keep you company. I told you he is your lucky charm."

"I'll obey father." Nasha bowed and returned back to her room.

At Mason's room,

Nasha entered the room seeing the door was left open only to see Mason looking through some papers dejected.

"What is it? You look gloomy."

"Nothing. So, how do you feel now?" Mason quickly hid the paper away before Nasha could take a look. Nasha could easily guess the content.

"A little drained. Sect Master asked if I would like to head to the village to train. Why don't you come with me?"

"But I'm a cultivator. It wouldn't be helpful for me."

"I thought this through. I doubt the sect can provide you with anything new. Instead of trying your luck with some low grade pills, why not join me and travel down the mountain? Listen to me. Maybe you too can encounter a lucky break. Besides, it's Asghar. The place you grew up. Maybe it will bring back some of your memories."

"What am I even supposed to do? I don't know anything. Besides, I can't remember anyone. I don't remember what my home looked like."

"All the more reason for you to join me. What if it jolted your memories? You could have everything back."

'But that life isn't mine. I don't even belong here.'

"Listen, I'm going to the village to set up a shop. I could really use your help too. I'm most comfortable with you as my partner. So, just say yes."

"I'm weak, Nasha. You should take someone strong who can protect you. You're setting up a shop. What if some hooligans come over and mess up the place? You will need strong people to protect the place."

"The village was completely decimated. Sect has requested the royal place for assistance with rebuilding the village. There will be yours from the palace protecting the street. Don't underestimate your power, Mason. Even a level 1 cultivator is powerful in an ordinary mortal village."

"What she said is right, Mason. You should join her. I came here to give you the sect order." Elder Shen chose this time to walk in on the two. "You are the most suitable for this job. As a sect servant, it's your duty to take it. Besides, you are heading down to complete a job representing the will of the sect. No one in this nation will hinder you."

"Alright. I'll go pack a few things." Nasha left the room leaving the two alone. The elder came to probably give some advice to Mason and Nasha wanted to leave before the elder asked her for some privacy.

"Mason. The sect master hopes you will take up this job. Nasha is a lot attached to you. Also, it would be great if you can prevent anything from happening to her. Take this medallion. It can help you communicate with the sect if there are any emergencies."

"Elder Shen, what am I even supposed to do?"

"We had an auction house at Asghar before. The sect wants to re-establish it. Selling resources is one of the major revenue for our sect. We wish to re-establish it as soon as possible. The medallion will also serve as a token of authority."

"I'll prepare to leave then."

"Thank you Mason. Hopefully, you can recover soon."
