During night time, the main entrance of Qin Feng’s manor was closed. Some that wanted to enter were even blocked outside.
In the manor, Qin Feng was communicating with someone else.
“You were quick to escape last time, but you still took the mission to assassinate me. I am a little dissatisfied about it too!” Qin Feng had a light smile as he looked at a total stranger that had appeared on the communicator.
However, Qin Feng had actually met with that person several times.
It was Guan Jinhao.
Guan Jinhao had switched to a different look while his capability rose by a little. He was also ranked higher in the assassin ranking.
“Haha, Marshal Qin, I would not dare to battle against you. With your powerful capabilities, you would just pinch me to death like an ant. Those people are like mayflies that have overrated their own capabilities!” Guan Jinhao frowned as he spoke, but Qin Feng still managed to pick up the hidden message. Qin Feng had only been promoted as a Marshal not too long ago, and he had carefully hidden the incident that occurred within the higher management of Dragon Capital. In order to not cause chaos among the people, he had even kept the attack of the Dragon-borne as a secret from other regions.
Qin Feng had not even completed the ceremony to be awarded with his Marshal badge!
Qin Feng sneered, “But you are doing well in obeying He Tianxing’s command, and you followed his instructions to come!”
“Ah, aren’t I not supposed to disobey my clients? I serve them like gods.”
“That right, why not talk about business?”
“Oh? Marshal Qin, you have just been promoted, and you are already taking good care of me!”
“Yes, I just need you to kill He Tianxing!”
“Pfft, ahem ahem ahem ahem…” Guan Jinhao was almost choked by his own saliva. He did not dare to take on the offer from Qin Feng. “Marshal Qin, it’s my fault, truly my fault! Why not offer something more realistic and I’ll recommend someone else to you. I can assure you of a fair price and quality goods!”
A dead man would always escape death, and indeed, Guan Jinhao began to sell off the others. It was like driving a light carriage on a familiar road, he had caused too many deaths for others that were in the same pursuit.
Hence, he would always be the one who survived and ranked higher on the assassin ranking.
Qin Feng was certainly pulling his legs, but he acted like he really meant it about the deal and asked in a cold voice, “Wouldn’t that allow you to sit back and enjoy the harvest, I want you to express your standpoint. Why not, you take charge in tracking down He Tianxing and report back, and I will hire another assassin by myself.”
Guan Jinhao hesitated as his eyes darted about. Actually, it was a strenuous and unrewarding task to track down He Tianxing. If He Tianxing were to realize it, it would immediately signal to the S-tier that someone else was aiming at him.
Guan Jinhao assumed that Qin Feng purposely wanted him to pursue the investigation. If Guan Jinhao were to offend He Tianxing, he would definitely be in trouble and Qin Feng would be delighted to witness that!
But tracking down someone’s traces was as simple as pie for Guan Jinhao.
If he was unable to handle such a task, how could he still qualify as a top-tier assassin?!

“No problem, just leave it to me Marshal Qin!” Guan Jinhao reassured while tapping on his chest. To him, it was not a difficult task at all.
Qin Feng certainly believed in Guan Jinhao. Otherwise, he would not have found Guan Jinhao and entrusted him with such a task.
However, Guan Jinhao would never believe that Qin Feng was looking for an assassin. He was actually planning to kill He Tianxing by himself!
Although the other S-tiers already knew about Qin Feng’s S-tier internal energy capability, the others were still assuming that he was just an A-tier, and being the most powerful Hero Class would not necessarily guarantee he would have the same S-tier capabilities.
Guan Jinhao was swift in his actions. As he was worried that Qin Feng might put him into a hostile position, he had then tipped Qin Feng off with news of He Tianxing.
He Tianxing would be in the Blood River Realm, but only for the next few days. He would return to the Dark Citadel and even carry out a deal at the border territory of Huaxia.
The big shot trading with He Tianxing was not weak at all, a top-tier member from the Dark Coalition of a small-sized Human Alliance. Also, an S-tier that was known as Voodoo Lord.
Both of them had been trading with each other for a long time. Subordinates sent from the Voodoo Lord had killed countless people from the Human Alliance and looted huge stockpiles of resources. The Human Alliance that Voodoo Lord had originated from was too small and did not have many aptitude users that would consume such products. Hence, products that were auctioned from the auction house were sold back to He Tianxing.
Initially, the trades were handled by subordinates from both sides. However, He Tianxing had offended the Long family in the Blood River Realm, and he was also injured from the conflict. The Voodoo Lord immediately took advantage of it and held back on the product delivery to He Tianxing. Even the asking price was raised to an unfounded level.
If the trade were to be done at the initial price, He Tianxing would definitely want to meet up to bargain. The Voodoo Lord might even use it as an opportunity to sneak an attack toward He Tianxing to take out another villain.
Regardless of the potential outcome, He Tianxing would have to be there by himself and even release his explosive energy to threaten the Voodoo Lord. Otherwise, not only would He Tianxing lose his trading partner, he might even lose his own assets. If the other aptitude users were to view him as a frail target and gang up on him, it would only take one bite from each of them to chew off every bit from He Tianxing.
“The Ghaza Border? Hmph, He Tianxing, even God wants you dead!”
The nearest major colony located near the border was Fiery Cage City, also accessible by spatial waymark from the centre of the city for immediate backup. Unlike the other cities, dedicated spatial waymark shops were readily available in Dragon Capital. Qin Feng would only have to purchase one from any of them. If he were concerned about safety, Bai Li could first take a look at the location of the waymark and it would be immediately reachable upon activating it.
But there were only three days left, and Qin Feng definitely needed a full preparation.
First, both spatial pearls obtained by Bai Li were required.
“How could it be filled with gems?” Qin Feng’s jaw dropped as he looked into the storage of the spatial pearls.
Within both of the spatial pearls, there were not as many gems as Qin Feng had mentioned. But the amount was not bad at all, even better with some collections of precious god weapons.
“This looks beautiful to me!”
The edge of his lips twitched as Qin Feng looked at Bai Li who was excited in picking and cutting the gems.
Bai Li rolled her eyes when she saw Qin Feng’s expression. “These were found from the spatial backpacks of other Dragon-borne, perhaps these are their premium currencies, and there are also some energy cubes. But, these two that I have chosen are definitely useful!”
Bai Li hauled out a cape and passed it over to Qin Feng.
Surprisingly, it was a luxurious looking cape, embedded with dark gems. When looked closely, those were cores transformed from dark runes, coloured in black to showcase their lavish features in a subdued manner.
Undoubtedly, the dark gem cape was definitely better than the one that Guan Jinhao had used to activate Phantom Shift.
“With this cape, my level of confidence in assassinating He Tianxing has grown to another level!” Qin Feng reassured himself in silence. It was definitely a treasure.
