Chapter 446
Mikael just closed the portal. They were in the middle of Antarctica where the never endless blizzard welcome them.
Thousands of people successfully escaped the Underworld but it was true that two-thirds of their numbers died in the war. Some of them were happy while some were sad. But they could not change the fact that they were alive.
"Everyone! We have to be prepared and we have to contact Chen Yu and Dwarven Remington."
Kyle announced and one by one the Hunters began preparing. They understood that it was not the time to relax. After all, the sky was still covered by a black miasma that blocked the sun. They drank healing potions to heal their wounds while some drank the cure against the corruption.
It should be 9 a.m. right now, but it looked like midnight. This was the current environment that their planet was facing.
Kyle successfully contacted Chen Yu and confirmed that the portal was indeed destroyed by a Demon. Anyway, it didn't matter anymore.
Chen Yu and the others found their coordinates and a portal materialized before them. Then, the Hunters one by one, entered the portal and meet their friends.
Kyle smirked, satisfied by what he saw. Especially when a woman hurriedly rushed toward and hugged him. Kyle smiled and assured his wife.
"It's okay, I'm alive."
"Un..."
Miriam sobbed and nodded, she could not control her emotions and tears burst out of her eyes. She cried and hugged Kyle tightly.
It looked like a happy scene, perhaps their lives were going to be better after this.
Every one of them was happy to see their loved ones, everyone was affected by the atmosphere... except for one person.
"Why are you not walking away? I'm sure the Elves are happy to see you."
Princess Belle didn't move from her place. She was standing next to Mikael.
"Are you sure you don't need me?"
"Oh come on, I can do this myself. I'm not that weak."
Mikael was actually surprised that he was reassuring the woman. Perhaps he already had feelings for her, he just didn't know.
"Then, promise that you're not gonna die."
"I will not going to die."
He muttered and turned around.
"Once everything is over, I will ask you about a lot of things. I hope you are ready."
"I will never keep a secret."
"Good."
Mikael didn't stay anymore. His body turned into lightning and left the Antarctica.

As a man, he didn't want to show his weak side in front of his woman.
"Looks like I fucked up."
He said to himself. However, there was a wide grin on his face. As if it was making him excited.
He could feel it, a connection happened between him and Jade Levia.
As he confirmed that he was far from them, Mikael landed on a desolated glacier and opened his armor. Then, he found that there was a symbol on his chest, a symbol of a serpent.
"So it's not all about copying my ability. Not bad, I guess. At least she can prove that she's a Demon Lord with this."
He shrugged. It seemed that Jade Levia hid her true motives. Well, it was too late, and all he could do was get ready and prepare for it.
Suddenly, his eyes were stabbed by something invisible. Yet he didn't create any noise. He just stood there, accepting the wounds.
"I see, so I'm going to experience what she's experiencing."
He said and decided to heal himself, but he failed.
"Huh?"
No matter how much mana he transfer to his eyes, the wounds didn't heal at all.
Now, he was blinded and wounded.
"What the fuc-- glurglub--!!"
He gargled in his own blood as his throat was sliced. His blood was black too, but because Mikael was currently blind, he didn't see the disgusting fluid.
He kneeled down, looks like this would be dangerous. He could not heal himself, regeneration was the main reason why Gods were deemed as immortals because they could heal their wounds. If their wounds do not heal, then how can they live?
Without any respect for him, another set of slashes occurred to him.
He tried to speak but his throat was not listening.
Just like him, Jade Levia was suffering too. However, in this current predicament, Jade Levia had the upper hand. Because she was the one who cast the Skill, she had the leverage to heal herself. Unlike Mikael who was slowly going to die.
Once Jade Levia understood that she was going to die, she could casually regenerate. This was the true horror of her ability, the Envious Death.
Mikael started coughing as blood covered him. It was ironic that he was suffering right now, assuming that he was the strongest. Perhaps everyone had their own way to interpret the meaning of the 'strongest'. Right now, Mikael Tibano was definitely not showing the definition of the strongest.
He summoned his Inventory and took out a healing potion. He immediately drank it, and sadly, the content of the potion came out of the wounds of his throat. Furthermore, it appeared that his wounds didn't heal too.
'Great, now I am in deep shit. So I'm going to die here? Well, not that bad.'
Indeed, this man was not afraid of death. Not anymore.
Mikael lay on the cold ice, relaxing like a sigma while his body was bleeding all over.
