Yue was in another room, a contrasting room, this seemed familiar to her somehow.

No, she hadn't been here prior to, however, it was entirely analogous to the description of Li Mei's room, the female lead of the novel Yue was perusing before going to bed.

Her hands find their way to her own eyes, rubbing across the tender skin, in incredulity. She withdraws her hands and her vision regains it's vivid view, anticipating an eyesight of her own, old, dilapidated room desperately.

But to her disillusionment, she was still in the un-ascertained environment.

Yue shook her head in disbelief and got off the anonymous mattress, that she now sprawled upon. "This definitely is not my room" her eyes gaze at the peculiar structure, taking in every nanoscopic detail of it as she sits up at the end of the bedding.

The room was rather ravishing, there were pastel, flamingo and rouge pink colored curtains swaying from a distance, the ceiling was taller than the normal average height of a room. The shine of the curtains swaying gave out the preconception of them being quilted out of pure silk.

The room itself was quite spacious, the walls were a mix of a scarlet and crème shade, smooth on the surface of the walls.

The entire room was carpeted with a velvety, quality fabric mat. It was a delux room. Every object and furniture within the commodious room gave the impression of it being affluent and luxurious.

"Where am I?" Yue walked around the room, her delicate fingers tracing the carvings on the wall. She was subconsciously intrigued yet anxious of the inconclusive ambience.

All this seemed way too familiar, a subconscious image indistinguishable image of this exact room, seemed to wander in the back of her head.

This is an exact replica of the room described in the novel. 'Could it be that I….'

"Huh, no way. It has to be a dream, I'm lucid dreaming, that's what it is" a glint of optimism lights through her body, on acquiring a rationale reason for the absurd happenings. Her lips curve into a smile, illustrating a solace.

Yue now tread towards the window panel, concealed behind the lustrous curtain, the fabric of which is glossy yet soft at touch.

As she moved it aside, the metal rings of the curtain above produced a displeasing sound lowly.

The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky.

The heavenly views of nature fill her view and the sight enraptured her to the core.

The early night sky is aglow with street lamps at commensurate distance.

The pale crescent moon shines like a silvery claw, and the occasional howling of faraway coyotes breaks the eerie silence of the night.

Yue had read about Lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is when you're conscious during a dream. This typically happens during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the dream-stage of sleep.

An estimated 55 percent of people have had one or more lucid dreams in their lifetime.

During a lucid dream, you're aware of your consciousness. It's a form of metacognition, or awareness of your awareness.

Often, lucid dreaming also lets you control what happens in your dream.

However, this was too vivid for a dream. She could be lucid dreaming, yet this was too graphic and evocative to just be a dream.

The bygone terror returns in miniature upon fearing it to not merely be a dream she was in control of.

She turns her head towards the wooden-polished door, as she hears footsteps approaching it. Her heart races involuntarily, she gulps as the sound gradually grows closer, until the knob twists and the door flies open.

"Li Hua, you aren't ready yet?." A gorgeous girl, with tender, sleek figure, drowned in a majestic scintillating gown stands by the now open door.

The dress is a voluminous off-the-shoulder ball gown, accessorized with matching opera gloves, earrings and shoes.

Her features are beautiful. She has a small, round face with a pointed chin. Her eyes are so alluring, they are monolid. Her eyes are big and a shade of brown, with dark eyelashes. Her nose is short and a little turned up at the end.

The girl, wears her hair in a half-up style, her hair is hazel-brown, indistinguishable to the shade of her orbs.

The gown was the most opulent outfit Yue had ever seen, shades of cadmium yellow. And the girl, herself was so alluring-

'Hold on a god damn second....'

'Did she just call me Li Hua?'

'This is so not happening….'

'I must be dreaming, I have to be.' Yue brings up her hand to face and pinches herself, and upon undertaking the act a red glow spreads across the pinched area along with a stinging pain on the surface.

"OW-"

'Oh, This is so not a dream.....'
