"Considering the low temperature, and your…" his eyes hovered over her body for a split-second, before looking back at her,

"Your negligible clothing," he suppresses a smirk as he states. Yue felt naked. Despite the fact she was covered in a blanket, which wasn't even dense enough to prevent her from feeling the frigid cold.

She blushed as he stares at her. She had never been at such a close distance with an opposite sex. She turns her gaze elsewhere. He obviously had seen her in her so stated 'negligible clothing' when he brought her inside which made it even more difficult for her to not feel bashful.

"I waited for you to wake up, so that I could ask you yourself," the ebony man stands again and sighs lowly, "Do you want me to take off your drenched undergarments, or would you prefer wearing clothes over them?" Yue's eyes widen momentarily at his abrupt mention of her lingerie and her face flushes red in response.

"Wait, you can't speak, is that the case, are you a mute?" she swiftly shook her head in denial. And to think of it now, he was the only one who had been carrying this one-sided conversation.

Yue had a stock pile of ample questions to ask him, though she don't even know where to initiate with.

"Well, then, answer me." His tone was suddenly demanding, or probably vexed, nobody likes having a one-sided conversation, of course.

But that was a conflicting question for Yue as she didn't want him to see her that way, without any clothes on her, not that she was wearing much anyways, but still, she would prefer not.

But her condition would not be any better if she wore clothes over her soaked garments. And her body was in a state of paralysis as a part of the post symptoms of falling from what seemed like over 50ft. Each minute muscle in her body struggled to get back to their customary functioning. In a state like that, she couldn't even change her own clothes.

"Who are you?" That's one way of avoiding the entire situation, isn't it? He tilted his head lightly to the side, knowing entirely how she deliberately left his question unanswered.

His lips curve into a smirk, which disappears just as soon it makes appearance.

"Quite late to get into that, but," he shrugs as he looks away before continuing, "I'm the one who saved you from drowning." Yue rolled her eyes at his dense response, or rather he was simply playing smart, avoiding the question, just the way she did.

"Obviously," he quirked one of his brow at her response, almost triggered at her thanklessness and her responding like a brat despite the hostility he provided her with, who was an absolute stranger to him as well. 'Shit. I didn't even thank him for keeping me alive, he did save me after all.' Unwavering thoughts of pure regret stormed her head as she reviewed her stated words which came out to be more impolite than required.

"Uhh…" she began again, hesitantly,

"Thanks for that…umm..for saving my life" she managed to smile as she stammered in forming an apt gratitude filled sentence but the soreness in her head was too agonizing.

He probably noticed her discomfort, as she heard him taking in a deep breath and clicking his tongue against the surface of his mouth.

'Might as well heal her, there is so much I could do to her once she's in a healthier form.' He licks his bottom lip on the thoughts of his layered intentions.

"I can fix you." Yue's eyes shoot up to meet his. His dubious words, though seem like a fluke, she was yet engrossed in even a percent chance of getting away from the tormenting condition of hers where she couldn't even lift her hand due to the paralyzing pain.

She absolutely, did not desire to lay there, hoping for recovery for months if not years. This was a situation similar to being alive but dead. She needed to get out of that bed to find a way out of this novel as well.

"What do you mean?" she inquired desperately, her eyes gleaming with a glint of faith of getting away from this awful state of lying like a corpse.

He licks his bottom lip as he stares down at her, something about his stare is so daunting, it made her feel edgy and habitually she went on biting her bottom lip.

He then, leaned over her, his arms supporting his weight as he now lay parallel to her body, his face was inches away from hers, the distance between the two was negligible. Even through the blanket was covering her skin, she could feel thoroughly the warmth radiating off his body. She swallows as he glances at her lips before meeting her gaze.

"I can take your pain away." He speaks firmly, his tone isn't that of a deceiver, at the least.

'If he is indeed capable of such a miraculous act, then what is he waiting for? My permission? Being a gentleman now, are we?' she scoffs internally as she absolutely did not wish to piss off a potential helper.

"Then, do it."
