Chapter 7: Assault

Every day I train to get stronger at using mana, I started training at using swords too, I had experience in my previous life because I used Chi swords, so I needed to train and adapt this body for using swords, it's hard because in the body of an infant your movements are reduced.

I am 7 now, and my abilities at using mana and sword it's better than most teens, my parents are euphoric about me but I found out that they suspect me, they took me to a doctor to see why my mana got awakened so soon and why I was skilled at using a sword, the doctor didn't find anything wrong with me and my mom and dad are still questioning how I am so powerful even though I'm a child.

I am happy, having a family that cares about me (including my sister), I'm doing good in everything and I don't delude my family, I live in a great house and I don't have any type of problems, in my previous life I had to fight, even if I was a general and I had better social and political conditions, my previous family was killed in the war, that was what made me fight and kill people.

Then the happiness I had in this life ended.

I'm in my room with my sister playing some board game, I and my sister became closer over these years, I taught her how to use mana and after some tentatives she did it. and I suddenly heard a rumor that makes my ears whistle.

"Hyaaaa!," my sister screams.

"What was that?" I say to myself more than my sister.

While looking at me Aria says, "It seemed like an explosion, should we go see what happened, Lisa?" worried.

Mom and dad said to us that if a situation like this happened we should go hide.

Still what if something happened to my mom and dad?

"We should go." I tell my sister.

We were both capable of using mana so at least we don't go there without weapons.

She opens the door and we start to hear screams of pain and terror everywhere.

*What in the fucking hell is happening...*

                                                              "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!"

My eyes go wide hearing this.

*I can't believe this, I thought this world was peaceful..."

"Mom, dad!" Aria starts running inside the mess.

Gasping I tell her, "Wait, Aria don't do it!" I try to reach her hand but a piece of the ceiling falls in front of me, blocking the way where Aria was going.

"Shit!" I mutter.

I start to run avoiding the fire, then an unknown shadow that I've never seen stands toward me, smirking someone dressed with armor throws at me an arrow made of fire, I dodge thanks to my instinct and experience on the battlefield of my previous life.

I launch at him a small fireball and then 3 other fireballs bigger than the first.

"What the--" he tries to stop all of them, but it was futile all of his movements were lacking agility and he was doing unnecessary movements.

In these years I trained mana I found out how to enchant my body using mana, by doing it my body could become way more resistant and stronger.

He was trying to get extinguish the fire in his body, I dashed towards him and enchanted my body with mana.

I felt like I was electrized for a moment and then I sensed my body full of power I reached him and his eyes noticed me.

I jumped and grabbed his throat throwing him to the ground.

His eyes were full of terror.

"P-please don't kill me I have a family!" He says afraid and on the verge of crying.

"I don't give a fuck." I tell him coldly.

"Why are you here and who sent you?" I grip his throat even tighter.

He gulps and says with a trembling voice, "L-luke! Luke Clemence sent me!" suddenly his eyes go wide.

I feel mana going through his body, I make some pass away from him.

"Aghhhh!!" He starts screaming and then his head starts glowing and it explodes.

His headless body falls out like a mannequin, blood starts dripping from his body.

"Fuck! I needed to ask him more questions... At least I know the name of the one who is raiding us, how did his head explode? Perhaps every one of them if they tell something about them they will explode like him?*

There is no time for thinking about this, I need to save my family! 

No matter what, I will try my best for saving them, they cared about me, not like my previous family...

I felt what having a family is.

I run even faster enchanting my feet to go faster, there is a hole in the floor, taking this opportunity I go down the hole and find myself in the first plan of the house.

Then I see them.

People surrendered a man who was holding something.

I stare at his raised hand and see it.

It was the head of my father.

Laughing proudly he says, "Is that all?! Where is the one who beaten me all the time, the one who felt superior and thought that his family was the best?!" all the people surrounding him laugh, then I see better who he was, it was the one who sparred with my father some years ago.

I felt myself losing the sense of all around me, I had only one thing in my mind.

KILL HIM

All of the people there stared at me and suddenly trembled, I never felt so much killing intent going out from me.

Even the one who was holding the head of my father trembled, his name is Luke Clemence from that I heard from that soldier, then after watching who was the one that was emitting this pressure he laughed while the others were still insecure about this.

He starts to walk toward me and says," Ohh, you should be one of his daughters, aren't you?".

I stare at him without saying anything.

"Not saying anything will not make us forgive you, or your family, oh wait, you don't have a family anymore!" He starts to laugh.

"Why did you kill my father?" I say without showing signs of crying or even fear.

Smiling he says, "Why? I killed him because he was just a nuisance, he didn't agree to almost anything and he beat me every time, of course, he used items that enhanced his power, that's why he beaten me." 

"That's not true!" My sister Aria stands covered in blood and with parts of her clothes burned.

"Ahah, look! We got all of his daughters reunited!"

I enchant my body with mana and all of them notice it.

Gasping Luke says, "What? How can you enchant at your age?" My sister look at me without words, I kept it a secret that I could enchant my body without any problems.

I suddenly dash using my hand and enchanting it with fire and I slash it like a sword, the slash goes towards Luke and blocks it with not much easiness.

Without spending time I create water from my hand and make it have the form of an arrow I throw it at him and then make other arrows that were behind the first.

He used his giant sword to block them, with him turning his guard on the arrows I dash behind him and enchant most mana of my body in my arm and I throw a punch behind his neck.

I take some steps away from him to breathe before the next attack and he suddenly laughs.

"Is that all? You tried to be so scary and then it reveals that you are actually weak!" and his henchmen laughed too.

*I can't beat him... I'm still too weak.*

*If I'll die here, I'll die protecting my sister.*

I run up to her and stand in front of her.

"Lisa...?" she says crying.

My body was aching, It felt like something is gripping all of my body.

"How moving! She is actually trying to protect her sister!" They laugh again at us.

"Well it's time to end this, should you two become slaves to get sold, or be killed, mhh..." The man moved his hand to his chin thinking about that.

*Slaves... They have slaves in this world.*

I want to kill him, my only thought is only to kill all of them...

My sister hold on to me showing that she surrendered, still I did not surrender to them.

I decide to use the move that I practiced more these years.

I raise my hand towards the one who is called Luke Clemence.

"Mhh?" He makes a noise.

"Fire Surge."

My hand released a ray of fire almost big as him.

"Huh--" 

He suddenly gets swallowed by flames and many of his henchmen too.

Screams of pain and terror resonate in the hall.

"What the fuck!" Luke said.

I smirked even though I fell on my knees, I am happy that I gave for most of them death.

I know that Luke Clemence will have scars from this ability of mine.

My sister looked at me with surprise and without words.

Still, all of the mana I used will probably make me die too.

I smile at Aria as my vision gets foggy.

Then, somebody envelopes us.

"Don't worry Aria, Lisa. You two will live serene lives."

My mother is full of blood and she is without an arm.

A green light envelopes me and Aria.

"Goodbye, my children..." My mother says with her eyes full of tears.

Then all my vision turned white.
