Chapter 141: Outing.

Leaving Carl's garage, Shido took Eri out for the outing he promised her. But even if he had promised her an outing, he had no set plans. Instead of overthinking about it, Shido picked up the easiest route, "So what do you want to do?" asked Shido to get an idea of what the kid expected from this outing.

"...I don't know," said Eri as she was clueless as Shido.

Having no idea what to do, the father-daughter duo continued to walk on the pathway alongside the road. Shido was constantly looking around for some idea, but all in front of him were concrete buildings.

'What good can be done in this game world?' Shido asked himself. And the moment he asked himself the question, it clicked to him what could be done in the 'game' world.

[Foot of Mt. Chiliad, West Whetstone]

"What are we going to do here?" asked Eri as she looked at the towering mountain. Eri had an idea what the answer was, but she still asked, hoping what she was expecting was not true.

"We will climb it..." said Shido with a proud smile on his face.

"We were going for an outing--" said Eri, "--This is the outing," Shido interjected.

According to Merriam-Webster, Outing (noun) au̇-tiŋ: a brief, usually outdoor, pleasure trip.

According to Shido, Outing (noun) au̇-tiŋ: Outdoor adventurous trip.

Hearing her father's response, Eri gave a final prayer to her legs and embraced herself for the long climbing trip. On the other side, Shido started to prepare for the climb; He stretched his hand forward.

And a dirt bike appeared in front of him. Seeing the dirt bike, Eri breathed a sigh of belief as now her legs won't be martyred.

Shido first put Eri on the seat and then sat behind her. And since this was a tricky track, Shido had no tolerance for risk while Eri was with him.

After everything was set, Shido revved up the engine and started climbing up the mountain.

The ride was exciting... Narrow and treacherous roads, beautiful sceneries of tall trees, and looking down to see how high they've climbed up. Sometimes, Shido stopped the bike for Eri to rest and let her see the beauty of the mountain.

"Papa, Look how many flowers I've collected!" Eri ran up to Shido excitedly with a bunch of different types of flowers in her hands. When she reached him, She extended her hand and showed him the flowers.

Shido, with a smile on his face, placed his hand on her head and patted her head.

"Let me show you something..." said Shido and asked Eri to give him the flowers. Eri gave him the flowers and waited for the show.

Shido placed the flowers on a small foldable table along with some leaves. Seeing Eri's excited eyes, he got a small smile on his face. He then picked one of the flowers. Eri looked at the flower with high hopes but nothing happened for a long time. Fed up with the hype that Shido created, "What is it?" asked Eri.

"Just wait and watch..." said Shido. Eri heeded the suggestion and continued to watch the flower but this time her expectations were low.

But miracles happen when you least expect them, and it happened for Eri as well. A small vine came out of the end of the flower and it slowly started to grow. Shido lowered his hand and brought the flower near to the table.

The vine started to connect to the other flowers and leaves, and soon all the flowers were connected. In the end, the connecting vine became circular and the connected flowers became a floral tiara.

Eri was watching everything with stars in her eyes. Shido smiled and put the floral tiara on Eri's head. Eri touched the tiara above her head, "How does it look?"

"Cute... Let me take a picture," said Shido and brought out his phone. Eri swirled and he clicked the picture.

"Show me... Show me," Eri ran up to Shido to see the picture. And when she saw the picture, Eri was like, "Oooh~".

But then her mood turned down. Seeing the change of expressions happen, "What happened?" asked Shido.

"The flowers will wither one day and the tiara will be gone..." said Eri.

Shido smiled and picked up a twig from the ground and then he broke it into two in front of Eri. He showed the broken twig to Eri and then used [ HESOYAM ] to restore the twig back to how it was.

Eri understood the meaning and smiled back at him.

After packing up, the two continued their climb to the top of the mountain. As they got closer to the peak, the roads started to become narrower and the turns were sharper. But with Max Driving Skills, it was easy for Shido to overcome these obstacles.

2 hours later, Shido stopped his bike at the top of Mt. Chiliad. Some RVs were parked on the top but other than them there was no one up on the top.

Shido and Eri walked to the very edge of the peak and looked at the scenery in front of them. It was beautiful. Shido again took out his phone and clicked candid pictures of Eri on the mountain top.

"Eri, Ready for the final part?"

"Umm..."

Shido picked up Eri in his arms and ran toward the edge of the mountain and then without thinking much, Shido jumped off the cliff.

Shido pulled the chord and the chute unfolded. Eri - who had her eyes closed during the fall - opened her eyes and saw the scene from the slow descent they were having.

[Santa Maria Beach, Los Santos]

On the warm evening of San Andreas, Shido was sitting with Eri on Ferris Wheel. She was trying to look at the sun setting on the oceanic horizon through the window but wasn't able to do so because of her height. So Shido picked her up and let her sit on his lap.

"You liked the outing?" asked Shido.

"Hmm..."

"Would you like to do anything else?"

"Mmm..."

Not getting a verbal answer from Eri made Shido look at her and he found that she was already dozing off. Shido slowly pulled her head onto his chest and caressed her head a bit. He then peaked out of the window and saw Carl shooting two people down on the road.

[ Mission Complete ]

[Next Mission Available : Ice Cold Killa]

[Accept] || [Decline]

A set of notifications popped in front of Shido and he chose to Decline the next mission as he wanted to return to MHA World. A Bright Light covered the two and they disappeared from the GTA San Andreas World.

Shido reappeared back at the roof of the building from where he accepted the mission. He conjured a blanket from the Inventory and wrapped it around Eri as flying back to Todoroki Abode would be a cold journey.

As he reached the Todoroki Abode, he was about to enter Fuyumi's room from the window but he stopped in his tracks when he saw what was happening inside the room.

"I will ask you again... Where are my husband and my daughter?" growled Fuyumi as she held a kitchen knife in her hand. Himiko was hiding behind Fuyumi and the one who stood in front of Fuyumi was quickly recognized by Shido.

"Even if I knew the answer, I wouldn't tell you, Secret System User..." replied Caos with disdain.

"You asked for it..." said Fuyumi and dashed towards Caos with the kitchen knife.

Caos extended her hand towards Fuyumi and her palm opened wide. Shido recognized what she was doing. It was done on him numerous times and he failed to escape it every time,

The space around Fuyumi locked down and Fuyumi should've stopped moving but she was still moving as usual. Then, Fuyumi's kitchen knife started glowing brightly.

[ Skill ] : Clean

She then swung the knife around Caos' neck and the aftermath was Caos' head falling down on the floor.

"That was a clean-cut," Shido couldn't help but say as he entered the room with a sleeping Eri in his arms.
