"Ora ora ora ora ora! It's time to get your head in the game, you mangy little shits!"
As soon as we get inside the guild hall, Yui's Lion of Saitama persona comes out in full force. The adventurers don't pay us any mind more than a glance over their shoulders before returning to their drinks.
Yui's entrance is largely ignored.
"Oi… listen up when your boss is talking to ya." She swings her nunchuck once, faster than I can see. All the glasses in the adventurers' hands shatter, and their partying comes to an abrupt stop.
None of them are even aware Yui had done it, but all eyes are on us anyway.
Frey rushes to me, bewildered by our raucous entrance.
"What's happening? Don't tell me you actually got Prince Kain to transfer guild leadership?" Frey asks, terror building in her voice.
"You're damn straight we did!" Yui hands Frey the form, who takes it with trembling fingers.
She chokes. "Really…?! In that case, w-welcome… erm, guild leader, Yui."
Yui skips to the center of the tavern floor with a smile on her face.
"Should we be worried?" Loraine asks.
"For Yui? Nah. The adventurers? Might want to call a healer," I suggest to Frey. "I'm not even joking."
"Please, don't wreck the place." She says, racing out the guild hall.
I pull up a chair for Loraine and I to watch the event unfold. She takes a seat on my lap and pulls my hands around her waist. This has been happening a lot more lately, be it at home or in public. Though I won't say I dislike it, Loraine certainly has a way of bending me to her whims.
Yui slams her fists together, taking stock of her soon-to-be victums. She's always had a knack for leading. That talent had most of Saitama Prefecture conquered through fear alone. It was either her underlings fought other schools or faced the nunchuck.
The only reason I didn't go straight into Saitama Prefecture was because of her goons. If I could face her one on one, it would be cake. But if I had to go through a hundred pieces of fodder, I'm losing that trench warfare.
Some have even likened her to the Sumire, the Blizzard of Hokkaido, one of the Four Queens of Japan. Sumire's own strength is unknown, but rumors are the ruler of Hokkaido Region commands respect from her underlings. So much so that they conquered the entire region for her.
If Sumire rules by respect, Yui is the opposite, ruling instead with fear. Kain joked about me sounding like a tyrant. However, the real tyrant is the one wielding the nunchuck smiling from ear to ear.
"Hi, hi! I'm Yui, your new guild leader. Nice to meetcha!" Yui curtsies in her blue and white sailor uniform.
One of the larger adventurers, a wolf-man flashing his fangs, sizes her up. "Hey, kiddo. Don't you think you're ten years too young to be joining the guild?"
She continues to put on a playful voice. "Maybe there are fleas inside your ear, mister. Did you not hear me say that I'm your guild leader?"
The crowd erupts into laughter.
"Get a load of this kid. She's got jokes, you gotta give her that— umphf?!"
The wolf-man is sent crashing into the bar counter. Yui clears the table and climbs onto it.
"We got a surplus of requests on the notice board. Each adventurer— solo or party— is to complete at least three requests each week. Anego and Kain put me in charge of you lazy sacks of shit. If you make me look bad in front of Anego, I'm putting you in the ground. Okay?"
Everyone is quiet at first, but it takes one person to fall out of line for the rest of the dominoes to fall.
"What makes you think we have to listen to you?"
"That's right! We're free folk here!"
"We can do as little or as many quests as we want."

"We don't have to listen to you!"
Yui hops off the table, her face contorted with anger. "Did I give you a choice?"
I can hear the room collectively swallowing the lump in their throat.
"I'm in a good mood, so I'll give you guys a chance to overrule me." She pulls over a chair and puts her elbow on the table. "If you can beat me in arm-wrestling, I'll transfer guild leadership to ya."
No one seems to grasp how strong Yui is yet. One man plops down on the seat across from her with a thud. A large burly man with arms the size of tree trunks. "Gordo. A-ranked warrior. Subclass, vanguard. Nice ta meetcha."
"Ah, by the way. You're allowed to play dirty." Yui adds.
The big guy scratches his balding head. "Then it wouldn't be fair to you at all. Hah!"
He earns a round of laughter from the others.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. It's not about being fair, it's about fun!" She puts her hand out, and they clasp their hands together.
"If you say so, missy— aahh, AAHHHH!!"
The man's fist reddens as it is being crushed in Yui's grasp. Despite his hand engulfing her smaller hand, he's outmatched in strength. She yawns in his strained face, veins bulging all over his forehead.
In one swift motion, she slams his hand down to secure her victory. The man scampers away clutching his broken hand. Another takes his place, a woman whose robes make it clear that she's a mage.
She takes a seat across from Yui and introduces herself, "Well, guild leader. You should know I am Adeline, an enchanter subclass, A-ranked in this guild. I won't go down so easily."
Magic courses through the mage's arm. Loraine leans forward on my lap, interested in the new challenger. "She's enhancing herself. Much like how Mildred provided us magical enhancements during the battle against the demon horde. Yui might have trouble with this one."
"We'll see," I say.
Just as Loraine predicted, Yui and the mage are evenly matched. Neither are breaking a sweat. It doesn't seem like Yui is able to crush the mage's hand like she did the other guy.
Adeline scoffs. "Is this who Prince Kain put in charge of the guild? I could do a better job. I haven't even enhanced myself with increased strength yet—"
She's yanked forward onto the table. Yui headbutts her so hard, Adeline recoils and falls backward unconscious.
Yui totally learned that from me.
"I'm back with the cleric!" Frey rushes through the door with a priest behind her.
I point to the two unconscious bodies on the floor and the man with the broken hand.
"Whew. That was refreshing." Yui smoothes out the creases on her uniform and glances over her shoulder. "Get the fuck to work."
Everyone except for the three injured members rush towards the notice board, dragging Frey along with them.
"Wh-Whoa?! What's going on?" She clamours to the other side of the counter to approve quests for all the members.
"It's called progress." I give Frey a thumbs up.
"How'd I do, Anego?" Yui lowers her head in front of me.
"You did good. Now keep them in line," I say, patting her head.
"Leave it to me, Anego!"
