Chapter 13: Chapter-13 

A group of high-level zergs with bodies as big as elephants, teeth sharp enough to bite through the metals like cutting the butter with a knife, six legs with sharp claws that look terrifying, and as fast as the cheetah rush toward the one young man standing inside their encirclement. This type of zerg is called Razor claws zerg, and it was named as such because of its teeth and claws. 

 

 The face of the youth that was facing the hordes of zergs was not afraid in the slightest, but he even took the initiative to attack them. Vines bursts from the ground and tied down some zergs while dozens upon dozens of swords made of water fell from the sky and attacked the eyes of the zergs. The poisonous gas from the veins was released and the movements of the zerg that gets poisoned becomes slow. The zergs did not get a chance to recover as the cold metallic light of the sword flashed and three or four zergs fell to the ground, dead already 

 

The battle goes on for three hours with the young man coming out victorious. After the tiring hours of fighting the youth looked exhausted but had a smile on his face. Shen Li counted the corpses of the zerg bodies and there were 13 corpses there. It would give him 39 points and with the previous 289 points, it would make the total of 328 points. Which was already as high as the 'Abyss' points in this level, and if he also added the blood and time points, his points would be a little higher.  

 

At first, Shen Li tried to keep a low profile and continue training his ability and leveling up and reaching the top of the pillar of the ability users in this V.R world. But what he did not take into consideration was that there were also pillars that showed the top record of each team and individual. Shen Li did not see them since they were situated in the four small cities instead of the Main City. Since his points were exposed in level-5, he knew that it would be impossible to keep a low profile if he wanted to reach the top of the pillar. 

 

So, instead, he chose the mysterious player, that kept his identity hidden and impossible to get a hold of, character. Shen Li went to the barrier between level-3 and level-2 and put his hand on it. The barrier lights up like the previous time and starts counting his points. He got a total of 336 points, six points higher than 'Abyss' and 20 points higher than 'Mr. Charming'. Shen Li knew that after today his popularity in the V.R world would become high since he was the third person to pass the level-3 alone, also with higher points.  

 

He logged out of the zergs area and was teleported outside to the level-5 area. Shen Li hurried to the cave behind the waterfall in the forest before the curious players could come here after receiving the notification of the new record and came to catch him. It has been like this every time he completes a level. 

 

 He would run away before anyone arrived, making 'Wanderer' a mysterious male. They know it was a male, only because the notification also shows the gender alongside the player name. Up until now, no one has been able to know what this 'Wander' really looks like since players' names can't be seen unless they have been accepted as a friend. 

 

Shen Li arrived at his cave shortly after and relaxed inside it for a while and absorbed the water energy from the energy stones and air. His wood ability had reached level-4 stage 6 and his space ability was level-4 stage4. While his water ability had reached level-4 stage5.  

 

It was because the higher your level is, the harder it is for you to upgrade. It becomes harder to upgrade at level-3 stage-5, and most people get stuck at level-4 and are unable to upgrade to level-5 for decades. It is especially harder for those with more than one spiritual vein since they need to keep the balance between them.  

 

After three months of training, Shen Li was able to raise his abilities to level-4, which can be called genius. He logged out of the V.R world and went downstairs to the kitchen to eat something after hours of fighting in V.R.  

 

This was the new house more like a villa he bought three months ago. It has a big basement which he used as his laboratory, six bedrooms and three extra rooms for whatever you want to use them as and two storage rooms. It was three stories with a living room, kitchen, dining room, and two bedrooms on the first floor, four rooms on the second and third floor with a rooftop which also had a room. 

 

It was very big for one person, but it was this reason why he bought this villa in the first place. He needed a place where he can conduct his experiments without anyone knowing and also a place to act as a hideout just in case he needed to hide and avoid people or authorities. He bought this villa under the fake I.D, wearing a biochemical mask when he met the previous owner. No one would think that someone would hide in the villa in plain sight instead of some dark and small apartment.

After having his dinner, he went to his laboratory and after 6 and a half hours, he was able to make 100 smoothing potions. He had been busy since the announcement of the tournaments and had not any time for new potions. So, he had been selling 100 smoothing potions each day and saving money. Over the months he had saved 1.024 billion from selling potions and from the project of the research association. 

 

Shen Li had also received invitations from many companies and from some low-level army to join them, but he did not reply to any of these invitations. He knew that he would have to join the pharmacist department of the army after finishing military school. What is important is which army he chooses to join. But it would be for later since after this school, he would still need to attend higher military school. The school he's attending now is like a high school meant for military students before they take the real military school(like college) in the future. 

 

The problem is that because the planet Alkelince is the low-level planet in section F, the army they could join from here would not be high in rank and they could not protect him. So, he had to win the tournament at the school, if he wanted to stand out among many students and get a chance to join the high-level military school or he had to join the army which suits him early from the Healer's invitations and ask them to keep his identity hidden. 

 

Shen Li knew very well that he had not encountered any problem because he only sold smoothing potions on the Star Net and many higher-ups have not paid attention to someone like him. But if he starts to sell other potions as well and they were better than the other pharmacists, then he would get attention from them. 

 

 If he did not deal with it well the one who will have to bear the burns from their struggle to grab him would be Shen Li. In many cases like those the one who gets hurt and their lives destroyed are those without powers. And Shen Li knew that he did not have the power over politics and the citizens of the Empire. 

 

‘Say A-Yue, aren't these politicians always causing problems for people's lives?' 

 

“Ah.” Shen Li was suddenly startled and sadness appeared on his face as some memories from his past resurfaced. 

 

“Really now?” He said to himself with a sad smile. 

 

In order to distract himself from the memories of the past, Shen Li went to see something new on the school forums and the first thing he saw on the forum was his own face. His pictures were posted on the forum together with a title saying, ‘100 points.’ It seems that getting full points in the tests was spread by the students in class 22.  

 

"Sigh, it seems like my life would be busier than before." Shen Li had kept a low profile in the school and only had two friends, that is not very close. He prefers a lifestyle like this, where he does not get attention from the crowds. After today it would be impossible and since he had decided to win the tournament, he should adapt to this situation fast and not let it get in his way. 

 

"Another thing I need to pay attention to. Why do I feel like my quiet and calm life is going to be chaotic?" Shen Li, who had decided to rest for the night, did not know right now how much this statement was perfectly fit for his future.
