There was a difference in the rules for the professional competition and the preliminary matches.
The preliminary matches differentiated between the home and away teams. The home team could choose the location of the battle. Furthermore, the calculation of the points depended on the number of wins and the points accumulated during the battles.
For example, Quan Zhen Sect had won the first round of the match-up, and thus had five winning points and three match points. Thus, the calculation of the points was relatively complicated.
Therefore, in the professional competition, the organising committee had tweaked the rules slightly.
The right to select the map location would alternate between the two teams. Even though the home team had the right to choose the map in the first round, the away team could do so in the second round, and in the last round, the right would once again be returned back to the home team.
The calculation of the points on the other hand had been changed to the simplest of methods, that is to allocate points based on the number of heads remaining. In the event that both teams had the same number of players alive, no points would be awarded.
In other words, even though Quan Zhen Sect had the right to choose the map location in the second round, even if they were able to emerge victorious in all five rounds, if they played badly in the last round, the opponent could still make a comeback.
“But…” Spring Halo frowned and said, “If we were to choose the map in the second round, and avoid fighting even after having the advantage of choosing it, wouldn’t the opponent be able to see through our strategy? In that case, it would be extremely difficult for us to win in the third round.”
The bunch from Quan Zhen Sect had all along had the idea that the second round of battles would be similar to the first. If they were able to win the opponent in the fight, then they would fight. If they were unable to do so, then they would resort to underhanded means.
If this was the case, however, the opponent would be able to anticipate Quan Zhen Sect’s strategy in the third round. In the event of such a case, the winning team for this match-up was still uncertain.
“He he!” Fearless smiled slyly and said, “That is exactly what I want.”
The rest of the players, “…”
Even though everyone was still unclear as to what Fearless’ strategy was, according to their understanding of Fearless’ character, he definitely had something else planned under his sleeves. Thus, everyone did not overly worry about it.
On the other team’s side however, all of the players were extremely gloomy and the team’s morale was lower than ever.
Thirteen Ji, who had already recollected himself, angrily shouted, “What do we do now? When we had the home team advantage, that bunch of shameless people were still able to play dirty on us. Now that they have the advantage of choosing the map location, the situation will be even worse!”
“It’s fine…” Purity thought about it for a while, before adding, “Even if they are lucky and emerge victorious in all five of these battles, they would only be able to get a total of 8 points. Furthermore, the selection of players this time around is random, whether or not they are able to get more points than us this time round is still uncertain.”
“Then would they still try and play dirty in the third round?” Nian Liu Yun raised her hand and asked.
“Fool!” Purity glared at Nian Liu Yun before adding, “Would you fall into the same pit twice? Furthermore, the third round is a team battle and the location of the round is chosen by us. Surely they would not be able to evade us and drag on for time.”
“That makes sense!”
Everyone simultaneously nodded their heads in agreement.
“Thus, all we have to do is to fight the second round as usual and bank our hopes on the third round!” As she was speaking, Purity’s face revealed a confident smile.
After the break time ended, the second round began.
In the professional tournament, the rules for the selection of the players in the King-of-Hill battles was that a player from both teams will be randomly chosen from the list of twelve members in each team.
Such a rule was in fact a disadvantage for Quan Zhen Sect… After all, the disparity in the standards of their players was too wide. At the very top, there was the undefeatable Wang Yu, and at the bottom, there was the one that could not defeat anyone, Mu Zixian.
If Wang Yu happened to be selected in the first battle, all five points would be secured for Quan Zhen Sect. If Mu Zixian was selected, however, everyone could only accept their fates.
As expected, Quan Zhen Sect had chosen the map “Lost Forest”, which was a location perfect for a game of hide-and-seek.
Clearly, this bunch of trash wanted to play a prolonged game of hide-and-seek in this forest. Their shameless act once again left everyone in “awe”.

The moment the round commenced, the lights dimmed and two pillars of light appeared, as the selection of the players had begun.
For the first battle, Frost Blade from Team A Murder of Crows will face off against Dragon Spirit from Team Pugilists Don’t Cry.
Frost Blade naturally knew that he wasn’t Dragon Spirit’s match. Thus, the moment the countdown ended, Frost Blade immediately hid himself and fled into the forest.
The moment Dragon Spirit saw Frost Blade’s disappearing act, he sat down on the spot and didn’t bother giving chase.
Upon seeing the Quan Zhen Sect players employing such a tactic once more, the staff members from the organising committee felt a headache brewing. They could supposedly end their work by 4 pm today, but if Quan Zhen Sect were to drag the battles like this, they would be stuck here till night…
It couldn’t be helped. Because of Quan Zhen Sect, they had already changed the rules once, and it had included the maximum 30 minutes duration in each battle. It wouldn’t be practical for them to change the rules once more just because of them.
However, this has also helped the organising committee come to the realisation that they would definitely bar this team from entering the competition in the future, as they were ruining the competition experience.
Thirty minutes later… both parties left the stage in a tie.
In the second round, it was Ling Longmeng against Thirteen Ji.
Ling Longmeng, as an Archer, was naturally more adept at running than others. Furthermore, she was an exceptional Archer as well, thus, the result of the battle was as expected.
The moment the battle commenced, Ling Longmeng launched an arrow towards a nearby tree. Following which, her body flickered and in the next moment, she appeared on top of the tree.
The moment Thirteen Ji managed to climb up that tree, Ling Longmeng raised her hands once more, appearing on top of another tree shortly after.
The same scene occurred a few more times before Thirteen Ji was left far away in Ling Longmeng’s dust.
Thirty minutes later… both parties left the stage in a tie.
The current score was still 3:1. At this point in time, the audience had already gotten used to Quan Zhen Sect’s antics and were hoping that both Purity and Wang Yu were selected to participate in the battle. Being able to witness them engage in another heated fight would definitely be better than watching a few hours of hide-and-seek.
Perhaps it was because the system had heard their prayers, or because the organising committee had done something to the system, in the third battle, the pillar of light descended upon Purity’s figure
On the other hand, the player that was selected from Quan Zhen Sect was Spring Halo, who wasn’t adept at running.
“F*ck, why is it me?”
As a Shaman, Spring Halo had never excelled in 1 vs 1 situations. Seeing that the opponent he had to face was Purity, his heart was in a mess.
If it were someone else, Spring Halo could still make a run for it. However, given the length of Purity’s weapon, the reach it provided her with could easily span over a few metres.
“Go for it, Brother Spring, don’t lose too badly!”
Fearless patted Spring Halo’s shoulder and cheered him on.
Ming Du, by the side, added, “I really envy Brother Spring, to be able to battle with such a beauty is a blessing in life.”
“That’s right… if it were me, it would be worth it even if I died. It is worth it to die for a beauty…”
Vainglory cheekily added.
“Then you guys can go ahead!” Spring Halo gloomily said as he glared at both of them.
The three of them said, “Brother Spring, this is a god-given chance. As your brother, how could we ever think of snatching away your chance at love. Be brave, believe in the hands of god.”
“F*ck you all!” Spring Halo lashed out, before being sent onto the stage.
