Chapter 1305: Beating The Tiger Off Its Mountain

“F*ck! One shot, one kill?”

Upon seeing the attributes of the Pirate Lookout, Fearless couldn’t help but click his tongue in response.

As its name suggests, “One shot, one kill” is an extremely powerful effect. It can only occur when there is an extremely huge gap between the player and the enemy, or when a player attacks an enemy on the verge of death. When the effect is triggered, it will result in triple critical damage to be inflicted on the target.

Critical damage on its own would deal double the damage of an ordinary attack. Thus, a triple critical damage would deal six times the damage of an ordinary attack. In other words, if you were able to inflict 1000 HP points worth of damage initially, after this effect occurs, the damage dealt would be 6000 HP points. Even though it wasn’t truly an instant kill as its name suggests, it was still shocking enough.

Because of this, “One shot, one kill” was the most popular attribute amongst DPS players.

Who would have known that the Pirate Lookouts in Harbor City would actually possess such a shameless talent?

The terrain advantage could work both ways. If it was merely a case whereby the enemy consisted of melee classes, all they had to do was rely more on the AOE abilities of the ranged classes. However, with the inclusion of such a high damaging ranged class, add on the fact that they were located on the higher ground, the ranged backlines wouldn’t be as safe anymore.

As all of the pirates were bunched together, they would incur chained aggro. The moment the first gunshot rang out, all of the Pirate Lookouts turned their heads over and aimed their guns at Wang Yu’s duo.

“Boom boom boom boom!”

After the gunshots rang out one after another, a torrent of bullets flew towards Wang Yu’s duo. With a flap of his wings, Wang Yu immediately pulled onto Fearless and dodged the numerous oncoming bullets, before flying out of the area above Harbor City at an extremely fast speed.

After returning from Harbor City, Fearless entered into a deep thought… Wang Yu had also ceased underestimating the difficulty of this quest.

Since the quest had already stated that up to 1000 players could be involved in this large-scale group battle, the issue couldn’t be solved just based on a single player.

Based on the layout of Harbor City, it was shaped like a bucket. With the aid of the geographical advantage, just based on the Pirate Commandos and Pirate Scouts, it would already be a difficult task to kill their way into the city, much less now when there were so many hidden Pirate Lookouts situated on the of the surrounding mountains.

Even though the rate of fire of gun-related weapons was far inferior compared to bows, their damage and firing range was way higher.

Situated on higher ground, the Pirate Lookouts naturally had an enhanced firing range. Add on the fact of the effect brought about by the Archer Tower, even though the summit of the mountain was extremely high, all of the players within the valley would still be within their firing range.

One must know that there was only one road leading into the city. With such a narrow path, the players could only receive a beating should they use it to breach the city… With the inclusion of the Pirate Lookouts overlooking the valley, this would turn into a suicide mission.

Asking Wang Yu to lead people to clear out all of the Pirates was simply asking for too much.

Furthermore, the Pirates had taken the initiative to damage Twilight City’s walls. Thus, they naturally informed of certain matters. Even if they did not know who Wang Yu was, asking a player to enter the monster’s den to act as a spy was nonsensical as well.

Just when Wang Yu was letting his thoughts run wild, Fearless suddenly slapped the table and said, “Alright, let’s do it this way!”

“F*ck, you scared me here!” Upon hearing this, Wang Yu jumped in shock, before asking, “So how do we do it?”

Fearless coolly answered, “We will go and look for people first!”

“That’s easy!” Wang Yu added, “I’ll send the news to Sanguine Warflag to borrow his people…”

“No! We can’t find the Sanguine Alliance!” Fearless waved his hand and said.

“Why?” Wang Yu asked, confused.

Sanguine Alliance and Quan Zhen Sect had always been on good terms. If they weren’t finding Sanguine Warflag, who else would they turn to?

Fearless answered expressionlessly, “Because of the quest reward!”

“Quest reward?” Wang Yu opened up his quest tab and re-looked at the quest reward, before coming to a sudden realisation.

One of the quest rewards this time around was the development of the west side of Twilight City.

The extent of development was a measure of a guild’s ability to manage the region.

The region that Sanguine Alliance was in charge of was Twilight City’s most flourishing region, “Central Management District”, while the west side was managed by Void Blade.

As Captain Don’t Open Fire wasn’t lacking in money, under his heavy financial support, the development of the west side was extremely quick and faintly showed signs of overtaking the Central Management District.

Quan Zhen Sect had once been a part of this competition between guilds. Thus, Wang Yu knew that now that these two guilds were pitting off against each other, asking Sanguine Alliance’s people to help Void Blade raise their region’s level of development was simply asking for too much.

Even if Sanguine Warflag was to offer his assistance to them on account of their relationship, there were so many players in Sanguine Alliance and they each had their own mind. If the players weren’t willing to put in the effort for a cause that is unrelated to them, it would be pointless to ask for their help.

“Then who should we find?” Wang Yu asked.

Fearless answered as-a-matter-of-factly, “Of course it’s Captain Don’t Open Fire…”

“Eh…” Wang Yu replied, feeling troubled, “That’s not too good of an idea…”

The reason why Sanguine Alliance and Quan Zhen Sect had such a good relationship was because Quan Zhen Sect had helped them out with a quest previously. On the other hand, the reason why Quan Zhen Sect was able to conquer Void Blade was that Wang Yu had beaten them up until they conceded…

Thus, all along, even though the players from Void Blade conceded to Quan Zhen Sect, the duo weren’t considered friends. As a matter of fact, just an hour ago, Wang Yu had threatened the second-ranked player from Void Blade and had forcefully snatched over their quest. It would be extremely shameless on his part if he were to run over to them to ask for a favor now.

Who would have thought that Fearless would nonchalantly reply, “What’s there to be ashamed of? We are doing this quest in their stead, and thus they should be the ones begging us instead. How much money do you think we should collect from them?”

“Hehe….”

Wang Yu was filled with admiration with regards to Fearless’ ability to turn black into white. It was clear that they were to ones asking others for help, but Fearless even wanted to ask the other party for money, what logic was this even?

After thinking over it for a while, Wang Yu replied, “It doesn’t matter if we get any money from them, it’s fine so long as they agree to help us out sincerely!”

“Let me correct you, we are the ones helping them!” Fearless corrected Wang Yu before opening up his friend list and casually sending a message over to Captain Don’t Open Fire, “Captain, what are you doing now?”

Upon hearing the matter of Big Bear Deng Deng An following Wang Yu had resulted in the latter feeling dissatisfied, Captain Don’t Open Fire was afraid of receiving retaliation from Quan Zhen Sect. After all, he knew full well how frightening incurring the wrath of Quan Zhen Sect was.

At this moment, Captain Don’t Open Fire had suddenly received a message from Fearless, resulting in his heart to skip a beat for a moment.

After staring blankly for over half a minute, Captain Don’t Open Fire carefully replied, “Doing nothing, does Boss Fearless need anything? It was our fault with regard to the matter in the morning… Please help speak a few good words to Bull God, and not find any fault with my subordinates…”

“…”

Upon seeing Captain Don’t Open Fire’s reply, Fearless was speechless. Shortly after, he pointed at Wang Yu in rage and lamented, “Look at you, we are about to lead Twilight City to its destruction and you still threatened Big Bear?”

Heck, to be able to scare the big boss of such a large guild was something only Wang Yu could do.

“Haha!” Wang Yu laughed out loud and replied, “His actions were shady and inappropriate, so I merely said some words of warning to him…”

“You sure are a citizen-loving City Lord!”

After directing a sarcastic statement to Wang Yu, Fearless sent another message over.
