Captain Don’t Open Fire was definitely a smart, rich man.
To him, not only problems were not problems if money could resolve them, he also knew who to go all out on.
Sanguine Alliance and Quan Zhen Sect were different.
Although Quan Zhen Sect had few people, this made their target smaller and also more united and aggressive. If they took a slap, they would return a punch. No way they would let it go. To fight them, it would cost too much but to not fight them, they would disgustingly beat Void Blade to death.
Furthermore, they had Wang Yu, an incredible expert who could leave whenever he wanted to. Other than paying to settle the issue, paying to fight would not help even if they spent all their money.
However, although the Sanguine Alliance was big, it was just in numbers. So long as they spent their money wisely and hired more experts, they would win once they had more people.
Well, Sanguine Alliance was the largest guild in Twilight City. They not only had their own main city and large scale guild headquarters, but they also owned the administrative region of Twilight City which is the most developed financially. So long as they defeated Sanguine Alliance, these would be Void Blade’s.
As compared to these lucrative war gains, their investments would be insignificant.
Other guilds would have to reconsider their abilities when putting in such investment but the only thing Void Blade did not lack was money. To Captain Don’t Open Fire, such costs were just a joke.
After receiving Captain Don’t Open Fire’s order to hire experts, Big Bear Deng Deng An did not hesitate. He immediately opened a teleportation scroll and flew to the largest main city of the seventh region, War God City.
This was the place where mercenaries gathered and had countless experts. Although they were not as strong as professional experts, they were still comparatively better than Sanguine Alliance’s normal experts.
Arriving at the War God City, Big Bear turned out his loudspeaker and spent one hundred gold for an advertisement, “Hiring experts. The more the merrier.”
Most players in War God City relied on this to earn a living so naturally, they would not let this rich employer go. In an instant, Big Bear was crowded around.
…
Over at Sanguine Alliance, upon receiving news that their guild was going to war with Void Blade, the core players were a mess in the chat.
“F*ck, leader! Are you crazy?” Sanguine Stormbringer panickingly said, “Attacking Void Blade is no small matter. Why did you not discuss it with us first?”
“Yeah…” Everyone was equally puzzled, “At least notify us first. It is no joke to suddenly attack Void Blade.”
“F*ck…”
Sanguine Alliance was a large top guild so even though Sanguine Warflag had a say, he was not a dictator.
After being dissed by his guildmates, Sanguine Warflag apologetically said, “Aiya, it was in the spur of a moment. I could not help myself.”
“What spur?” Sanguine Stormbringer said, “We are picking a fight for nothing. Will Quan Zhen Sect be upset?”
Sanguine Warflag excitedly said, “This was what spurred me. Just not, Brother Iron Bull spoke to me. He said that as long as we exterminated Void Blade, the west region would be ours!”
“West region? Really? Could he be bluffing us?” Sanguine Asura was shocked by what he heard.
The rest were also caught off guard.

In Twilight City, Quan Zhen Sect was known to take advantage of people but they also knew that they did not mess with people who did not mess with them. They were very fair as they were the type who would accept money as a form of settlement.
The west region was painstakingly built by Void Blade’s heavy investment and was finally seeing results. If Quan Zhen Sect got Sanguine Alliance snatched it from them now, it was quite disloyal of them.
“Did Iron Bull or Fearless say this?” Sanguine Asura asked out of curiosity.
Sanguine Warflag said, “Of course it was Iron Bull! He said it straight to my face.”
“Hmm!” Sanguine Stormbringer sighed lowly and said, “If Iron Bull said that, they aren’t messing with us. Void Blade probably really messed with them and Iron Bull wants to kill with our hands.”
“Kill with our hands? Then should we let him use our hands?” Sanguine Asura asked, trying to sound smart.
“Of course!” Sanguine Warflag said, “Just let him use it once and we can take our revenge and take the west region. So why not!”
“The outcome is good,” Sanguine Stormbringer added, “But you are too impatient. Void Blade is not a small guild. We suddenly pick a fight and I’m afraid that this might not end well.”
“What’s there to be afraid of!” Sanguine Warflag said, “We have thirty thousand people in our guild and all of them are experts above level 50. Why should we fear those losers in Void Blade?”
“Thirty thousand?” Sanguine Stormbringer reminded him, “Big brother, wake up. Our guild only has less than ten thousand people in Twilight City. The rest are in Saga City.”
“This…”
Hearing what Sanguine Stormbringer said, Sanguine Warflag was stunned for a bit and looked embarrassed.
Damn it, he actually forgot about this.
“Then… Get them to come back?” Sanguine Asura suggested.
“…”
This time, Sanguine Warflag and the rest ignored this idiot. Damn it, Saga City was the main city Sanguine Alliance snatched from Black Dragon Guild. If there were people guarding it, Black Dragon Guild would not be too daring. However, if there was no one there, once Sanguine Alliance’s players left, they would attack immediately.
Losing a main city to seize a city’s region was something only a man as stupid as Sanguine Asura could think of.
“Aiya…” Sanguine Warflag was so excited but after Sanguine Stormbringer poured a bucket of water over him, he had lost all excitement.
“I was too impatient. Old Storm, what should we do now?” Sanguine Warflag asked Sanguine Stormbringer.
“Let’s do this!” Sanguine Stormbringer gave it some thought then said, “We declared the war and yet, we are barely ready so Void Blade must be panicking too. Just as you said, our individual members are all level 50 and above. If we start the war now and rapidly end it, it would not be difficult to triumph Void Blade’s players.
“Great! Gather in the office now! Let’s plan our attack quickly.”
…
In the inn, Quan Zhen Sect were puzzled to see the system notification that Sanguine Alliance had declared war on Void Blade.
Especially Fearless, he was angered and said, “F*ck, this Sanguine Warflag is as brainless as usual. I really don’t know how he can be a guild’s leader. He declared war without even preparing. What is the first-hit advantage for?”
For guild wars, the party which declared war usually declared only when they were fully prepared so they would be in control of the war situation and that increased their chances of victory. However, Sanguine Warflag was stupid enough to declare war immediately. This also meant he gave up his first-hit advantage. This was something only a pompous person could do.
God of Death’s Left Hand mumbled from the side, “If Sanguine Alliance still wants the first-hit against a guild like Void Blade, won’t they be a bully?”
