Even if her words were short and few, Qin Ruo still managed the grasp Black Widow’s intentions in chasing him—she had kept pursuing him from behind just to force him back to Moonrise City, which was now in dire straits.
In other words, the Demon Faction were uncomfortable with a presence that could threaten them from behind, and especially one like Qin Ruo, a Tier 5 Supreme Champion who could threaten them considerably. They absolutely could not allow him to wander around the Mythical Battlefield, and they must force him back to Moonrise City, where there would be many waiting around its ramparts!
Having spread an inescapable net, none should even be deluded about slipping away from their vision…
Although Black Widow was no confident enough to force Qin Ruo and have him return to Moonrise City, her warrior-class speed was above Qin Ruo—she could run if she was losing, and catch up if Qin Ruo turned to leave. That way, Qin Ruo’s every single move would be watched by Black Widow, and he would not be much harm even if he had the back to return and aid Moonrise City.
It was clearly impossible for Qin Ruo to shake Black Widow off!
Qin Ruo’s head genuinely hurt after understanding the problem.
‘That woman… is so annoying!’
Nonetheless, he must admit that the foolish measure was effective. There was probably no other champion of his caliber across all of Mythical Battlefield, and all Black Widow had to do was watch him and the rear of the Demon Faction would be secure.
It was a pity that Qin Ruo was no simpleton either.
If it had been any other occasion, Qin Ruo could well have panickily joined the party in Moonrise City—but after being forced around by Black Widow, Qin Ruo was a little too annoyed by that woman’s pressure. Then, after thinking for some time when an inspiration flashed in his mind, he simply decided to turn the trap in itself and play with her!
“Delaying me, huh… Heh. You could, but you have to pay the price!”
With a cold grunt, Qin Ruo’s gaze discreetly swept past the trees beneath his feet where who-knows-how-many Demon Faction players had concealed themselves when he promptly spread his wings and accelerated to the depths of Monster Mountains.
Her eyebrows knitting, Black Widow muttered once and gave chase. After two minutes, as he promptly dove down rapidly into a dark thicket within the Monster Mountains while swiftly withdrawing his Angelic Wings, vanishing from her view between moments.
Black Widow simply did not expect Qin Ruo’s move… she was at once in a difficult dilemma!
Should she follow, or stay in the air to keep watch?
The former was extremely dangerous. If she descended to certain altitudes, Qin Ruo would definitely cast an AoE spell to down her. As for the latter, Black Widow was not positive that the members of Satan’s Salvation and their three Tier 5 Elementalists could handle Qin Ruo.
She was left unsure what to do at once!
***
In the dark thicket, Qin Ruo, who was in a water element status stood upon the branch of a huge tree. He had kept watch for half a minute but was slightly disappointed that Black Widow did not follow him down here.
Still, there was little wonder. Black Widow would be a trash League Master if she fell for the trap so easily—the Magic Scroll he had in his hand could be opened at any moment, and if Black Widow fell from high above, he was positive that he could kill her in three seconds!
What a pity.
Even as he sighed inwardly, he maintained an Elemental Array and continued spreading his perception reach of water elements. Though it was the first time he had deliberately cast Elemental Array and Elemental Perception in Aquamorph status, the effect was surprisingly distinct! While the water element density in the Monster Mountains was not high, his perception boundary through the elements extended without stopping over fifty meters…
Then, it reached sixty meters!
Seventy meters!
Seventy-five meters!
When the radius of his Elemental Perception had reached a total of seventy-five meters, it meant that if Qin Ruo was fighting another Elementalist like himself, he could preemptively sense every move of his opponent beforehand and seize the advantage!
Qin Ruo had been showing an expression of thrilled delight over that discovery, and soon a team of Satan’s Salvation players entered his perception, his gaze thus focusing…
Firstly, he saw six bandits who were in concealment, quiet as they land as they spread out in a net formation while approaching. Right behind them were a few Elementalists, each holding up a barrier and having a spell charged, and having a magic scroll in hand as well. Several archers and warriors were escorting them, and as they moved forward, pairs of alerts gazes scanned the forest.
“Just right. You’ll be part of my experiment.”
Qin Ruo laughed coldly and slightly shifted his position. He was sure that there should be Tier 5 champions amongst the search party—Black Widow was not foolish enough to send some Tier 4 noobs to their deaths.
***
Amongst the Satan’s Salvation ranks, only Tier 5 Elementalists with Elemental Perception could discern Qin Ruo’s presence—they were the only targets Qin Ruo was cautious of.
Perhaps it was not to say that Qin Ruo was cautious about them, but they could sufficiently threaten him.
Nevertheless…
If he could find and get rid of any Elementalist with Elemental Perception in a single stroke, Qin Ruo believed that Black Widow would not have anyone from Satan’s Salvation searching for him across the desolated wastes of Monster Mountains.
Even as he pondered, Qin Ruo probingly approached the Elementalists from his flanks some fifty meters away…
With the help of his Perception, Qin Ruo controlled the distance between them strictly and only allowed the closest Elementalist to enter fifty meters around him, all while vigilantly using Perception to keep watch of his every move and each tiny reaction.
Then, as expected, in the instant he was within fifty meters, Qin Ruo sensed that the Elementalist had paused slightly, turning and glancing at Qin Ruo’s position!
“Found one.”
Qin Ruo did not attack, but after probingly catching his target’s attention, he swiftly left the Tier 5’s perception zone…
There were another six Elementalists beside the Tier 5 champion!
Qin Ruo was not sure that there was only one Tier 5 class amongst the seven, or if all seven were Tier 5 champions…
He would not risk attacking before learning about the enemy in detail!

“Hmmm?”
Bandit Leader the Tier 5 Aeromancer’s sudden pause was noticed by his companions beside him. Everyone hence quickly asked away in the party channel, “Found something?”
Bandit Leader nodded and pointed impassively at the direction which Qin Ruo had just left.
“…He must have accidentally entered my Perception zone. That way. Still, the kid reacted quickly and ran as soon as he entered…”

Black Widow was at once excited when she received information of Qin Ruo’s position. She had been worried that Qin Ruo would leave the Monster Mountains quietly, and she would have been helpless if that was the case.
With a clue now, she quickly issued an order from the skies.
“Heartless, lead your men towards coordinates ****, ****.”
“Bandit Leader, rush ahead and turn after three seconds to flank him!”
“Okay!”
***
With Qin Ruo’s general location captured, the Tier 5 Elementalist who reacted to his presence led his team forward some thirty meters, before suddenly turning and accelerated towards his direction.
At the same time, a Satan’s Salvation squadron flanked him from his rear!
“As expected of League Elites… Heh, interesting.”
Laughing inwardly, Qin Ruo quickly flicked out the morphed Aqua Feeler. Then, before they could form a circle around him, he pulled a nearby treetop, his body sweeping past the gap between two detachments rapidly like the wind!

In the skies above the Monster Mountains, Black Widow was at a loss!
“Target lost? How come?”
To ensure the success of the encirclement, she had even dispatched a second wave of men, a force that included Tier 5 Terramancers and Pyromancers, spreading a flanking net from behind. With Bandit Leader doubling back simultaneously, there was no reason for Qin Ruo to escape, especially with the movement speed of an Aquamancer…
With the encirclement turning out to be a failure, Qin Ruo could well have reached any corner within the Monster Mountains. Worse still, she only had three Tier 5 champions with Elemental Perception, and there was little chance of finding Qin Ruo even if they spread out away from the position from where their net has failed!
Once again, the search turned into an effort equivalent to finding a needle in a haystack, not to mention the strong likelihood that Qin Ruo had just played them for fools…
Nonetheless, just as Black Widow considered the various possibilities that Qin Ruo freed himself with, a sudden great explosion echoed from afar in the Monster Mountains…
Boom!!
Her brow tightening, Black Widow subconsciously assumed that some of their forces had accidentally provoked a Boss in the area, but suddenly, several grim voices from Bandit Leader’s party called out from her channel in the very next second.
“This is bad, boss! More than twenty brothers had been ambushed and wiped out by Qin Ruo…”
“Damn! How can an Aquamancer like him move so quickly?! Bandit Leader, are you sure you were not mistaken? Those attacked are at least four hundred meters away from us…How can he get so far so quickly?”
Heartless the Tier 5 Pyromancer was so angry he almost ignited the Monster Mountains himself—this ungodly place was so dark everywhere, and not only could they not find a person, they were seeing things on every turn.
“There’s no way I could wrong. I saw the Aquamorph form clearly, I think he might have some rush skill like Flurry…”
“Damn it, that’s an Aeromancer ability!”
“That concealment skill is a specialized Bandit skill, and yet he knows it.”
“…”
Heartless’s mouth opened, but was left dumbfounded by Bandit Leader. “Fine, you win!”
“Stop the nonsense! After him!” Black Widow’s anxious voice rang anxiously, and everyone shuddered. “His targets are our two hundred comrades in the Monster Mountains!”
With the three Tier 5 Elementalists in the lead, they turned and sprinted back. Black Widow was right—as they tracked back, many of their brothers were being killed mysteriously. Qin Ruo was becoming arrogant from his stealthy ambush!
Behind them, the Aquamancer had simply spread his Angelic Wings and soared across the woods, pursuing the slow Priests, Elementalists, and warriors. When Bandit Leader and the others caught up, they found more than fifty corpses of Satan’s Salvation elites, strewn along the path as they gave chase.
Whenever they caught up, Qin Ruo would simply avoid engaging them, his Angelic Wings stretching at once and pulling away into the skies.
Bandit Leader, Heartless, and Mobile Cop the Terramancer was left absolutely furious!
“How did he know that we are Tier 5?”
“Shameless!”
At the sight of Qin Ruo’s escape, even an idiot would know what was going on.

Pulling up to a hundred meters in the sky, Qin Ruo at once reactivated Frostbarrier and Darkfrost Shield, smiling exuberantly at Black Widow who was over a hundred meters away, her face paling.
“Hey, beautiful. Still want to keep this up?”
Black Widow seethed in a cold voice without hesitation.
Grinning and prepared to tease her again, Qin Ruo abruptly sensed a terrible unease rising from beneath his feet. A powerful, irresistible air pressure had promptly reached him!
His body suddenly twisted, and the Divinity power he maintained Angelic Wings with was instantly dispelled!
SHIT.
A chill crept in Qin Ruo’s heart—Tier 5 AoE attack spell?!
“How?!”
The instant he lost his Angelic Wings, Qin Ruo fell heavily down toward the Monster Mountains amidst a sense of weightlessness!
It was then that the corner of his eye caught a figure floating in the skies over Monster Mountains.
Bandit Leader.
As his heart thumped, Qin Ruo finally understood.
It was the Aeromancer’s Tier 5 spell Flight which had shortened the distance between them!
Whoops.
Blunder!!!
