Chapter 1: Prologue

When I came to, I was kneeling with pressure over me. I looked around me to see nothing but darkness until a ball of light appeared lighting up my surroundings and increasing the pressure over me.

 

It wasn’t hard to know the identity of the ball of light from the pressure that I couldn’t even raise my head or if I did my eyes would be burnt by that brightness with me going insane it made me remember something ‘never look at God directly’.

 

After that memory resurfaced, I wasn’t sure that it was even my memory or…. was it? I tried recalling things about me and I found nothing. While I was worrying about my memory the god spoke.

 

“Andrew Reed, you are here because you have good karma, usually the karma is reaped within that life without carrying anything over but your life ended abruptly before you could reap your karma due to the war among gods”

 

The voice sounded like various people were speaking  in different voices at the same time so it was hard determining any gender or race.

 

Hearing the god say my name, memories started flooding. It took a few minutes to remember everything and how I died due to being struck by lightning out of nowhere.

 

Then the god asked me “How do you want to use your good karma?”

 

I used to love playing modified version of games where I had unlimited currency and could buy everything available in the shop and grow strong fast and destroy anything in my way…..so that’s what I asked for in a new world.

 

“Divine one, I would like to have a mod and would like to be reincarnated in a fantasy world.”

 

“A mod? I have an idea after glimpsing into your memory. It isn’t anything hard so you basically need a shop with unlimited currency to buy stuff. You can have a lower version of our gods divine store. Demi-gods get rid of all of their mortal items in there when they ascend to become full fledged god. You can convert my divine crystal for the currency in mortal/demi-god shop to use it to even buy everything it has to offer much like how that mod thing works and for the fantasy world, I created a new world called Ianixar not so long ago, you’ll go to that world, is this all?”

 

“Divine one, is it possible to posses immortality in Ianixar as well?”

 

“Rejected. It would disrupt the balance of the world”

 

“Divine one, I understand that with great power comes great responsibility and the stronger the power more risk to the user. Please bestow upon me a responsibility that could grant me such power.”

 

“There is one, to keep Ianixar safe I have isolated both the realms of angels and demons. You will have to  stop the advances of both races and repair the cracks through which they will come. There is also another condition, when you finally die, your soul will turn into nothingness and cease to exist.”

“I would gladly accept the responsibility but is it possible for later term of turning my soul into nothingness to be changed?”

 

“It can be changed, but that term is for your own good. Now make your decision, are you willing to accept the mod and responsibility and reincarnate.”

 

“I am willing, Divine one, is it possible to say final farewell to my parents?”

 

“I will allow for that, after you have said goodbye to your parents you will be reincarnated in that world. You may leave.”

Another ball of light arrived

 

“I didn’t realise you would hold him in such a high regard. Even giving him the responsibility that you promised “her”. Are you sure she wont be the first to kill him before he even meets his first angel/demon.”

 

“He asked for the responsibility himself, I just agreed." *shrugs* "I did put the soul condition for him so he wont suffer from torture for all of eternity after he dies to either of the races. There’s no such thing as immortality after all even the gods fall.”

 

“sure, sure. The angels and demons are sure going at it. How many avatar of worlds are literally crying from them doing so much damage to the worlds. Mending them would take a while”

 

“Yeah. That’s why I made Ianixar to shift them here so they can avoid going extinct in the crossfire. They shouldn’t be able to move to Ianixar in numbers before the races matures and can defend themselves and push them away. It is still inevitable as angels posses the positive aspect while demons possess the negative aspect even if they go extinct they’ll just be reborn and being polar opposite, they naturally abhor each others existence” *sigh*

 

“you have it hard too. Well, at least the war among gods ended, while dying he took our good karma kid, talk about petty. I need to get back hopefully the new guy can take care of it. See ya old fogey ”
