Jinxi Po’s face twisted with sudden disgust. He lifted his bow again and pulled back the string. Five arrows appeared, already nocked and held between his fingers. Sage felt his Spirit Sense fluctuate and felt the Spirit Sense and Aura of Jinxi Po crashed against him. It was like an arrow of Spirit Sense punched through the perimeter of his own Spirit Sense. It didn’t clash with or damage his Spirit Sense. Instead, it pierced right through like it wasn’t even there. That arrow homed in upon him and stopped just in front of his chest without doing anything to him. Yet, at that moment, Sage felt the threat. He didn’t know how, but his intuition told him that Jinxi Po had locked on to him. With that Spirit Sense there, ‘stuck’ in him, he wouldn’t be able to dodge the next arrows that would be released.

“Devoid of honor? What do you know of honor? You’re just a foolish little child that knows nothing of the world. You stumbled into a few lucky breaks and now you think you’re undefeatable. There are so many things in this world that would utterly destroy your worldview if you were to ever learn of them, yet you still think so highly of yourself that you would dare to insult me?”

Sage had no idea what he was talking about, and he also wasn’t paying too much attention at this instant to any conversation. He only decided to start speaking in order to try and infuriate the man. An angry opponent can no longer make calm and sober decisions. Even if they are more ferocious, they are also prone to making bad decisions. Driving Jinxi Po wild with anger would be a perfect thing at this time, so Sage made sure to make himself insufferable.

“Dare to insult you? For one such as yourself that is worth no more than a fart, insulting you is merely the same as describing your odor. Isn’t it something that is hard for anyone to resist? As disgusting as you are, I cannot help my curiosity. I have to smell you and tell everyone just how ripe you are.”

As he spoke, a thick white mist rose from the ground around him. He used the Fluid Power Lines to release a huge volume of Paradise Nightmare from his feet, building a thick fog cloud for him to hide within. Since he felt he couldn’t dodge the incoming attack, he didn’t need to see it coming and so he hoped to obscure the vision of his opponent. He knew that that strange Spirit Sense Arrow made it so Sage couldn’t dodge the next attack, but he still chose to use the fog to hide his other actions.

Sage felt a fluctuation of energy in front of him, those five arrows were each fluctuating with the power of a different law. Sage was surprised by this foe using so many laws at the same time, but with the clone’s assistance he had time to ponder on many things even in the thick of intense combat. As soon as those energies started to move, ten Arrow Walls appeared in front of him, held aloft by Sage’s Spirit Power. This technique was known as ‘Thousand Hands’. In the past, Sage had made progress with Multi-Manipulation, a telekinetic power to move many small objects with very fine control. There was also the Third Hand, a telekinetic force with a powerful strength, but it could only focus upon a single object, which he had used to push himself out of the way of that attack earlier. The combination of the two led to another ability, Thousand Hands. With this ability his Spirit Power could impel a great force to many objects at the same time.

The ten shields appeared in the air around him and then quickly moved together, arranging themselves in a single column in front of him and not a moment too soon. The very air rippled and Sage felt the first three shields detonating before an arrow even struck them. The force of this blow was so great that it was already crashing through the fourth and fifth shield at this moment and it was likely the sound of this mighty attack wouldn’t reach him until long after all these arrows struck him.

He finally felt the energy of the attack as it reached the sixth shield. The prior shields were destroyed by the destructive wave in front of the arrows, which was strong enough to burst half of his defenses already. That destructive front was merely a side effect of this mighty blow and it was already extremely terrifying. Sage was hoping that each of his remaining shields could at least absorb one of the incoming arrows, which would mean only one of them would strike him, but unfortunately they moved with such power that the Arrow Wall’s integrated Storage Bag was destroyed almost instantly. None of the arrows were absorbed into the storage spaces. They moved together as one, five arrows swirling as if they were moving around a spoke, or a drill punching through the ten shields like they were barely there.

When the last shield was bursting apart, a glowing symbol appeared upon his forehead.

The ground quaked and the air boomed. The collision was enough to make the whole forest sway from side to side. A thick liquid spilled to the ground, forming a large puddle in front of Jinxi Po and signifying the severe injuries of his foe. Jinxi Po actually caught sight of this growing puddle long before the explosion of dust and mist cleared away. He willed a gust of wind to carry away the whole mess, clearing his sight in an instant and realizing that the puddle of liquid was not the deep red of blood, at least not human blood.

Jinxi Po leaped back to avoid an object falling from the sky and he looked up to see the source. That was when his jaw dropped and he cursed loudly. His fingers plucked at his bow with the speed and grace of a harpist, arrows appeared in large numbers, launched through the air and crashing against the giant monster that towered over him. Each arrow caused a loud cracking sound and more liquid to spill, but it was from striking the beast a fatal blow.

That giant was of course a monstrous spider, and one of its front limbs was looking quite mangled. Jinxi Po’s terrifying attack had punched through his thick carapace like it wasn’t even there, even blasting out the back of his limb in the process. Even so, with the huge size of his body, it was like a nail being driven through a person’s arm. While it was bloody and certainly not good, it was far from being a lethal wound. The enhanced healing he’d always incorporated into his bodies came into effect, rapidly stopping the bleeding from the many wounds that Jinxi Po was now causing upon his body. The hastily fired arrows he shot could barely crack through his armor layer, so Sage equated them with being stabbed by needles. Very painful, but hardly dangerous if he didn’t strike something vital.

Sage lifted his front few limbs up, holding them in front of his face to protect those vital points as his huge body had made him into a gigantic target. Even if he wasn’t hurt much by each individual strike, with a body this large, how could this uncannily skilled archer not hit him?

This guy is really serious, and really rich!
