The Grimm Monsters attacked that evening, and the violet vidette was with them; I had fought with it and held it back from attacking the others, and I had burned my blood to do that when it had burst with the full power.
Though, the blood I had burned was not even 10% of which I had burned the first time when I had fought with it.
I had again fought with it just yesterday, and I did not burn my blood at all, though I had reached quite close in doing that. It was all due to my 5% progress in my art; it had increased my strength tremendously that I did not have to burn my blood now to hold off the Grimm Monster.
It had been six days since I had returned to Fort Ardon, and many things had happened in that time. One of the most amazing things is the data I have gotten from the experiments I am doing on my mentees with the mutation I had got from the Grimm Monsters.
I have to say that thing is extremely dangerous and more volatile than the mutation and contamination of bloodlines that we humans have.
Still, that extreme volatileness is an amazing resource that I had been using on all three of my mentees; even Neela hadn’t been spared.
If one compared the data between five days ago and now, they would be shocked seeing how much progress they have made, even I had gotten quite surprised despite tracking it every day.
“Good, you are on your way to getting fitness that you need to control epidermis; you are learning quite fast, Neela,” I said, seeing her progress.
She is really good, not just on the dummy but also on real patients. With her permission, I had kept the seed inside her and did her practice on the real patients in the hospital, and she had done better on them than the dummy on used.
I don’t know why others have given up on her. If she had a good teacher, her progress would have been shocking by now.
“Its all thanks to your teaching Lord Dexter,” she said, and I took the praise with a smile. It is not good to act humble all the time; I take credit where I deserve.
“Lord Dexter,”
I was instructing Neela when Leonard called me behind the screen, where he is dipped in the solution alongside Danielle.
“I will be returning in a moment,” I said and walked toward Leonard. A second later, I was beside Leonard, who was inside a dark violet-green solution that was bubbling, but there was no heat coming off the solution; instead, there was a slight cold.

If one looked at Leonard, they might consider he is boiling up, seeing his skin had become red and steam could be seen coming from it and him also gritting his teeth pain, he is very much pain that I am surprised that he could even talk with the amount of pain he is feeling.
“Do you need something, Leonard?” I asked; even though I know for what he had called me up for, it is very clear in his data which is in front of my eyes.
“All the restriction had disappeared. I feel like I would be easily able to break into Master class if I tried,” He said, clearly asking me about making a breakthrough.
“No, it is not time. I had told you before unless your constitution reached the limit, you will not make a breakthrough into the Master class,” I said, and I could see the clouds of disappointment appearing in his eyes for a second before they disappeared.
I could understand his need to break into the Master’s class, with him reaching the Master’s class. He would reach the top level of the world, would be a true fighting force, and would easily get a commander position to defend a small fort with his vast fighting experience.
That might have been his dream, and now, I am stopping him from achieving that, but it is for his own good.
The more powerful his constitution, the greater his limit would increase on top of giving him a huge boost with constitution power, and when he finally level up to Master class, he would have great power.
I need him to be powerful and his constitution to be strong to bear the pressure of what I have in mind for him, and currently, he is far from ready to think about that thing.
I checked the condition of Leonard detailedly for a minute and even created some locks inside him with the help of my seed, so he would not unconsciously make a breakthrough.
Though what I did was not ethical, I could not think about the ethics when whole future race depends upon it. My mentees are mold that will make the humans powerful; the data I will get from them will help the whole human race tremendously.
I felt like a mad scientist of those childhood movies, and maybe I might be, but all I am doing is for them and my race, though I will deny it that data I am getting from them will help in upgrading my own inheritance.
Time passed by, and afternoon turned tonight, and I took my mentees to my quarters for dinner. After dinner, they left while I trained. It is important that I did not discard my training in favor of theirs, I need to do it in balance, so it would not affect my own progress.
Buzz!
I was training when my holowatch vibrated with a message from the Grand Commanders’ office. Reading the message, a small smile appeared on my face; it was finally time.
Tring Tring
A few seconds after the message, my holowatch rang with the call. “General,” I said as I received the call. “Dexter, come to the command center now,” General said before cutting the call; he did not give a reason, nor I did want to know as I already know the reason.
