I was sleeping soundly when suddenly my holowatch began to blare loudly while shining in harsh purple.
“Code Purple!” I immediately woke up to that as I understood what it was about and summoned my armor without notice before walking into teleportation formation; a second later, I appeared in the Command Centre.
I could see the Elites, Leaders, and Masters in the command center, each one busy with their job, understanding that this would be an all-out battle that they had been preparing themselves for the past couple of months.
Outside, I could see our forces gathering; I looked at it for a moment before I walked to the head table where General sitting with Masters.
There are seven masters present on the table; their numbers since the battles have become intense in these past months. I have become familiar with all of them; I am more familiar than the others.
My mentees, Danielle and Leonard, are at the table, so are victor and Martha; there are also three other Masters who came to fort Ardon as reinforces. As for Hans, he died a little more than a month ago; the Grimm Monsters have killed him.
I had tried to save him, so has the General, but both of us have failed; he is killed before both of us could do anything.
“General,” I said and nodded to the rest of Masters as I sat on the table, directly opposite of the General.
“The Grimm Monsters are preparing their advance and looking at all the intel we have; this will be their all-out attack,” General said. “It is good; we were already preparing to do the same if they did not do it by dawn,” I said, with some masters nodding affirmatively at my words.
“Yes, but their offense is still worrying. From the intel we have received, we had concluded that they would likely fight defensively from their fort rather than launch an all-out attack, at least this early,” He said, and some master nodded with worry.
“So, what is our strategy? Should we defend from our fort, doing that, we will be able to use the offensive weapons of the fort,” Victor asked.
“No, we will not defend passively. There are too many inconsistencies in intel to believe this will be a good strategy,” General said as he shook his head, “We will meet them halfway, use every person we have to fight,” He added.
“It is a very risky strategy, general,” I cautioned, “Yes, it is risky, but I see no better way than it,” General said and looked at other Master, who did not seem to have anything to add.

“General, have you been able to procure a crystal rose?” Marla asked hesitantly, and every Master looked at General with hope, except for my mentees, who gave me a sneak glance filled with hope before they looked at General.
“Regretfully no, I had spoken to Grand Commander herself and requested the crystal rose, but she could not spare any crystal rose for Fort Ardon,” General said with a sigh, and disappointed expressions couldn’t help but appear on the Master’s faces.
Even I am disappointed, even though I am the creator of the crystal roses, I could not use them. I have been restricted to using them by the Pyramid. They have been added to the list of super strategic resources, and only Grand Commander and Grand Lords could authorize their use.
“Is there any chances that hell serpent might come if things became too hard?” Leonard asked, and again all the masters looked at the General.
“I don’t know, but the battle is our to win if he appears,” General said. They are talking about Rai.
In the past two months, there have been two things that caught the focus of every human, crystal roses and hell serpent. This moniker is not official, and even Pyramid did not officially acknowledge there is anyone called hell serpent in human forces.
If I was not so familiar with Rai, even I would not know the famous Grandmaster killer, who had killed four Grandmasters in two months is Raibhan Solace.
He had been appearing on the battlefield, killing Grandmasters in record time before disappearing. It is not like Grimm Masters had tried to kill him, but all of them have failed to kill him; he is too hard to kill.
He had a powerful hell-dragon bloodline and created the bloodline core, and the most important thing about him is his contamination which had increased his strength tremendously and defense that any Grandmaster would envy, which makes him very hard to kill.
“This would be a final battle, and it would be extremely dangerous, your lives as well my life would also be in danger,” General said as he looked at all of us, “The only way we could survive is to fight with everything we have, push ourselves beyond our limit and hope that luck would be on our side to tip the scale on our favor,” General finished.
It is not a great battle talk, could even be said little awkward, but it had conveyed what General have to say, and everyone appreciates that.
The silence lasted on the table for more than a minute before General’s eyes shone up, “Prepare yourself; the Grimms have left their fort,” He said and stood up and walked toward the glass wall, and we followed behind him.
“Dexter, you will lead the army,” General said suddenly, surprising me greatly, but when I looked at the army of Grimm Monsters, I understood his decision.
“As you command General,” I said and walked out of command center, followed by all the masters, leaders, and elites.
I had led the army before, but it was a long time ago, and the numbers of people were far too low, not to mention their levels. All of them were knights, including me, while here, the lowest is Prince while the strongest are Masters who are just step away from breaking into the Grandmaster class.
