“Burning your life essence would not save you, human,” said Parrotman Grandmaster before motioning its staff toward me, and green mist released from it, surrounding me from all the sides before attacking me.
Crackle Crackle Crackle
The curse had hit me from the sides; it was extremely powerful and shook uncontrollably in my spot, nearly taking a step back.
It was not a physical blow, but it had felt like one was much stronger than the strongest attack of the vidette. That was just a prequel to the attack; as I had said, it is not a physical attack but the curse attack.
The curse began to seep inside my shields; I could see it was making the Parrotman happy, thinking I was finished, but I am not, not yet.
Curse is one of the elements of my constitution; it is part of me and my strings, and even if it is Grandmaster class power, we do possess quite powerful immunity, which is especially got stronger after I had leveled up to the Tyrant.
A large part had been played by the resource I had used during the breakthrough; for the curse, I had used a powerful miracle fruit of blood curse. It is one of the best curse-type resources I could dream of getting.
As the curse began to seep inside my shields, the hundreds of formations littered across my strings lighted up.
These formations are especially had designed to deal with curses and as they are activated. They begin to take the curse’s power and begin to process it, hammering out the harmful elements of this powerful energy before sending it to me.
My armor would then process the energy further before sending it inside me when I did that. I felt millions of little critters attacking, biting me from all directions, but I bore it and directed even more energy inside me as the attack of the curse is in the continuum.
What I may be doing seemed simple; it is not. It is extremely dangerous, and I am only able to do that became so many factors have aligned, which is helping me defend against this Grandmaster, which is quite weak, but it is still a Grandmaster that I do not match.
It is my great luck that I have a curse element in my constitution, and I practice art, which has refined my essence to such a degree that it could burst with the power that is extremely close to the Grandmasters in power.
Hun!
My runes accepted the energy I was sending at it and began to convert, and to my surprise, its conversion speed was not slow at all.
I used all the raw energy I got from the conversion to shields, making them even more powerful in dealing with an all-powerful curse that was attacking me.

It started to help, especially when I had combined with my inheritance energy, which despite being weaker than it, able to dilute in its flavor and thus increased its power, which in turn had increased the defense of my shields.
Seconds passed by, the curse continued to attack me till my shields absorbed it all, and I revealed in front of the Parrotman through the shield.
“You survived!” The Parrotman shouted in shock, seeing me coming out of its cursed mist with a sanguine halo covering my body.
Its shock has surprised me; it would have already known as I had survived since its consciousness would have linked to its attack, but it seemed like it had launched the attack and did not even look at it knowing I would die.
I could not say it is an idiot either since Masters would die under its attacks; even Grandmasters would avoid it. To the powerhouses, the special profession Grimm Monsters felt more dangerous compared to the traditional powerhouses.
I could just easily deal with them due to my peculiarities; if it had been a powerful Master in my place or even a vidette, the attack earlier would have been enough to finish it off.
“Suck power, no wonder you are able to kill a vidette, and it is more reason for me to kill you,” It said, and the green crystal on its staff lighted up brightly.
Raa!
“The curse of wailing Ghosts,” It roared, and its staff blazed like a sun for a moment before suddenly falling dim before a ghostly wail rang out, and that is just the beginning of the nightmare it had just unleashed on me.
Raa Raa Raa
Loud wails begin to range out before horrendous ghostly figures begin to come out of its staff. These figures are green translucent, and when they came out of the staff, they were tiny, but they would become big as Grimm Monsters a second later.
There are all types of ghosts there, from monsters, Grimm Monsters to humans, all of them are misshapen in the some away and wailing loudly.
It is no simple, loud wail, there are powerful soul attacks hidden in it that would have made any masters and below head hurt like mad, they would shut their ears and scream in pain.
Though their wails had not hit me as hard as they would to the other masters with my pure soul and defense, they still gave me a blinding headache, making it very hard for me to concentrate.
The wails are not the real attack of these ghosts; I don’t know what is. They are yet to launch it; currently, they are wailing loudly as they surround me from all sides as one after another of them kept coming out of its staff.
One hundred and one ghost came out of Parrotmans staff before they have stopped. Now all of them have surrounded me from all sides and wailed loudly while looking at me like they want to eat me alive, and they likely do.
“My children, consume this human, make it part of your strength,” The Parrotman ordered, and all the ghosts descended one me in en masse.
