CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG
“Why are you smiling?” It asked while continuing its assault, “Nothing,” I replied while the smile on my face became even brighter; I am not intentionally doing that, but it is happening, and I can’t seem to control it, especially when I looked at its face.
“Human, you will pay,” It shouted in anger and attacked even more intensely.
These Grimms get angry too quickly, but this one is acting like it is angry. It is angry, but all that anger is firmly in its control; it is using it to harness even more power from its core.
It took me a while to understand, but I have become even more cautious. I can’t compare it to the other Grimms; if I do that, I will be making a grave mistake and end up losing my life.
I have achieved some of my goals in fighting and will achieve some in a few minutes, and after that, I will try my hand at this guy. It will be a challenge, but one I will ace; I want to make this bastard my first prey with core, and I have waited for it already.
While I would have liked it if it had been the host of Bloodline core, I am fine with the Inheritance core as well; more than fine, actually.
The data on the Inheritance core will be more valuable than the Bloodline, as there is barely 20% of people have a Bloodline at a higher level, while the rest, 80%, have the Inheritance.
A few minutes passed, and another small smile lit up on my face; I had finally finished up with my objective, and now, it was finally time; I focused my all the bastards in front of me, and it was my luck, that it had nearly reached its limit, the increase of power with each attack had reduced drastically.
Once again, its hammer was coming at me, and I moved my sword, and as I did, there was a hint of surprise in its eyes.
This time, my sword is not moving up in the defense but in the offense; many of the weak spots became open as I changed my strategy, but the Apeman did not move its hammer toward them as it would have; instead, its hammer tracked my sword.
CLANNNG!
Its hammer clashed against my sword, stopping it in its tracks; it had succeeded, and it might succeed ten times, hundred times, or even a thousand, but eventually, it will fail, and it only needs to fail once; I only need a single attack, and it will be a game over for it.
CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG
I took back my sword and attacked another of its weakness, and once again, it had stopped it. It seemed to have sensed something, as it had become more serious and focused, not letting my sword reach too close to it.
We begin to blink around, attacking from any side and angel, but our weapons would always class, not letting the others attack too close to ourselves.
The paradigm of our battle had shifted, it had reached the climax, and others seemed to have sensed it too. I had felt a couple of powerful invisible soul senses on me; the owner of these senses are extremly powerful and could kill me in an instant, but thankfully, not all are hostile.
I would just need to finish my own battles, while others would handle everything else that came after.

It was not just my battle that had reached the climax, but I could feel a couple of others had also reached the stage. The battle between the Grand Commander and the Star Crockman has become extremly intense that the fort seems to have activated all its defenses to survive against the shockwaves.
The battle of High-Grand Lords is destructive; in just a couple of minutes of battle, we have changed the whole topography around us.
The snowy tranquility had been destroyed, and all the snowy peaks had turned into the ruble; the only thing that had remained unscathed under the assault of energies of High-Grandmasters and quasi Grand Lords was the fort and th mountain it was standing.
Both of them had been destroyed long ago if not for the powerful defenses of the fort, which are protecting itself and the mountain it is standing on.
“You have changed your strategy abruptly; it seemed like you have got confidence in beating me,” said the Stone Lightning Apeman as it attacked from behind.
CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG
I moved my sword back to defend against the attack before appearing above it and bringing my sword down on its huge head.
“Of course, I have confidence, not beating you but killing you; my strings have already wrapped more than half of your body, and soon, the other half would be wrapped in it as well.”
“Once that happened, even Grand Lord would not be able to save you,” I said with a smile, which made it glare at me hard before it glanced at the crystal badge by its chest.
Snort!
“Stop with your dirty antics, human; as long as lords blessing is on me, your little strings could forget about touching me,” It said with great confidence, “Don’t worry, it will be burned to death soon enough,” I replied with a grin before attacking it.
It has too much confidence in that thing, and if I had been in its place, I would have had the same confidence too. The thing is especially powerful that those quasi Grand-Lords fighting above wouldn’t dare to touch it lightly; it is even capable of injuring them.
If I did not have the white fire, I wouldn’t have thought about killing it.
Still, I felt relieved that not all the Grimms could use that badge; very few people have compatibility, and the creator has also paid the price for creating this thing. If every Grimm has this thing, then we could forget about killing these bastards.
Half an hour passed, and both of us had reached the limit, and now it had purely become a battle of skills, and I could tell it was frustrating for the Apeman.
While I am slightly weaker than it, I am more skillful and, in the past few minutes, was able to reach very close to it while it was unable to make any headway against me.
While it is frustrating to fight gigantic Grimms, which are nearly five times bigger, it also has benefits. The biggest are freedom and flexibility.
A few more minutes passed when my eyes lit up, I had found a pretty big opening, and I was confident that I could attack it, but also aware that it was a trap; it had been creating such an opening for the past few minutes, and till now, I haven’t taken the bait, but this is too alluring.
I have been fighting against it for more than an hour, and I could not waste more time on it, considering the battle of the Grand Commander is reaching the end; I have to finish the battle before she does, because whatever the result, all hell would break loose when that happens.
I instantly made the decision and moved toward the trap the Apeman had set for me; if the worse came worse, I would use my trump card to deal with whatever it had stored for me.
