Step

I stepped into the second floor and found it similar to the first floor I had been on, just smaller. Just one glance had told me there were only a hundred runic humanoid blueprints on this floor, and the books and scrolls were also less in number.

I did not get disappointed by it; if my predecessor’s words are to be believed, then the quality of the knowledge contained on this floor is level above the floor below, and I can’t wait to see it.

I immediately appeared beside the first runic humanoid blueprint and touched it.

It had immediately unfolded into the seven blueprints, and like on the first floor now, only the last seventh has remained blurry; I will be able to clear it by solving the cipher of the door leading to the third and the final floor.

I looked at the blurry blueprint for a few seconds before moving my gaze to the first blueprint, the smallest one.

Hun!

Within a few seconds, a hint of surprise couldn’t help but appear on my face, and that surprise became bigger as I studied the next blueprint.

‘She was right; the quality of the inheritance blueprint here is a level above those below,’ I thought as I studied it.

I did not study it further and recorded it before beginning to record the other blueprints, and within a few minutes, I moved to the books and scrolls. They took time, more than half a day before I appeared in front of the door.

The cipher on the door is a marvel itself that remained standing in front of it, trying to make of very few things that I am understanding about it.

Like the door before, this one, too, is a cipher door, and the answer to solving it remained in the books. There are less than half of the books and scrolls here, but I am sure it would not make solving the runic cipher any easy; I think it will be even more difficult.

Thankfully, I would not need to understand all blueprints and read all the books and scrolls. If that were the case, I wouldn’t have been able to solve the previous cipher at all.

On the first floor, I have only thoroughly studied 10% of the blueprints and read less than 20% of the books and scrolls, but still able to solve the cipher. It is the essence that matters; as long as I understand the hidden essence in the books, I will be able to solve the cipher.

Thirteen days had already passed; the first day had been spent copying things, before eleven and a half days spent deciphering the cipher, and a half day just now copying the stuff again.

I now have a total of fifteen days, and I have to solve the second cipher in that time; I would prefer if I am able to do it in fourteen days or before, but that is going to be a challenge.

I will give my all for it; I still want to see what it is on the third floor; the words that my predecessor used to describe it filled me with bubbling anticipation.

I did not immediately begin studying; I slept, showered, and ate before finally laying down comfortably on the couch and closing my eyes to enter my core.

Unlike me, my clone had never stopped for a moment, and I joined it immediately with a scroll in my hand while it held a tome.

Time passed in silence; every now and then, I would mutter, scream or curse, depending on my emotions. I would even play with Ashlyn and Nero, mostly Nero when I had got bored.

As I studied these scrolls, books, and blueprints, I saw how incredible they are and also difficult that I many times wished I had another clone; it would have made things a lot easier.

I have made huge preparations for my breakthrough, and if everything goes alright, then I will have a second clone after my breakthrough.

It will be the first thing I will do after the breakthrough; the clones have become even more important right now; having two of them would be a tremendous help me to me, especially in understanding primary level 2 inheritance.

It is complex, so complex that I would need months, even years, to understand it; it will become a little easier if I can soak all the knowledge contained in books and scrolls, but that too will take a lot of time.

This is why I said that having a second clone would make a lot of things easier for me.

Before I knew it, ten days passed, and I am still studying and making quite a progress in solving the cipher, but not as much as I like to make, but despite that, one could not see any disappointment on my face; there was even a smile hanging from it.

Like I had said, I am already satisfied with what I have got.

While I am excited and hopeful to see what is present on the third floor, it will not affect me much if I am not able to decipher the door within time.

The biggest draw of ciphering this door is unlocking the primary level 3 inheritance, which I could already tell would be beyond complex, and I would need years to understand a single blueprint, and before that, I would need to study all primary level 2 blueprint which itself going to take years.

I don’t know whether I would survive till then; the moment this place close down, the final battle will begin.

I don’t know long it will take, it could take a week to months, but I am clear that it will defiantly not be a year. It might not take even a month if the data of the previous war go by.

So, it is not much big deal for me, as my eyes are set on the immediate target, which is to level up. As only leveling up, I would be able to be any help in the final battle.
